Chapter 147 - The final two - Part 4

***

On the back of the building, Taka has managed to crawl there, without being seen by the enemy. As she got to the garden, Taka looks around to be sure there is no sigh of the enemy there, or someone who is cooperating with the reaming two retrievers or assassins, as you want to call it. Taka summons five clones of herself, and she tells all of them the strategy.

"You four," she points at four clones of herself. "You will run into the city, distracting the assassins and finding their spots. And, clone number five," she looks at the fifth clone of herself. "You will have to stay with me, your job will be vital for this part."

In a few more moments, four clones of Taka proceed to flee the house with green roof. As they all run into different directions, the original Taka and with the fifth clone are running to the river, which is at two hundred meters from the house. While they were running to the river, an arrow was flying and almost hit the fifth clone, this made Taka and her clone to jump to a rock, where they will be hiding from Kata accuracy.

"That was way too close." says Taka clone.

"I agree." says the original Taka. "We have to hide here, and hope one of the clones will be able to found the location where those assassins are hiding."

On the building where Kata, Vidraru and Luc are staying, Luc decides to take his flying gadget, and go to the window, Vidraru looked at him, and he asks him.

"Are you going to that house?"

"Yes. I might be able to make a surprise attack to these assholes." says Luc to Vidraru, and Kata, takes her eyes off her bow and looks worried at him, and Luc, seeing the worried face of Taka, he goes to her, he hugs her and tells her. "Everything will be okay, Katarina. I promise." he kissed on her forehead, and jumps from the window, and as he did that, the gadget opened, and he flies to the house with green roof where Kata was shooting only two arrows.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Meanwhile, on the house we are hiding from the attackers, Ulfred is looking at Garnet while he is holding his sword. He tells her to head to her room, and hide there. Garnet, probably realizing now she is useless, she crawl to her room, avoiding any windows as she does that. I looked at her anxious and fearing that an arrow might appear at any time, like it happened to me, and almost killing me on the spot.

As Garnet reached her room, she closes the door, and I could hear that she locks the door with the key it is put on a small table in our room. I looked back at Ulfred, who is taking a peek on the window, and he observes someone flying from a tower and coming to their direction. Ulfred puts his head down, and looked at me, feeling nervous.

"There is someone coming at us."

"Alright." I said to Ulfred, and I immediately prepare my wand to shoot a spell to the attacker. "Who is the attacker?"

"He is the flying assassin who uses some kind of... wings attached to a plank or something. We have to let him come at us. Until Taka manages to take down the archer, we will attack that flying dude, alright?"

"Alright." I say to Ulfred again.

Meanwhile, on the big rock where Taka and her fifth clone are hiding behind, they are looking on the river, they see it at a close distance from them, but they cannot risk it by going now since the archer is having her eyes on them. Taka has a plan, and she tells the fifth clone to run into the other direction, while, she will be running to the river. The clone agreed with the plan, and together they have immediately done the plan.

The fifth clone run to the opposite direction where the original Taka was running. And, as the clone was running to the tree, an arrow fly, and hit the clone head, making it disappear like the one who got shot, and giving time for Taka to hide behind a small hill. As soon as she got there, Taka summoned another clone (I didn't mention Taka has a limit to summon clones, she can only summon six to eight clones), and she told to run to the other direction.

In a few more seconds, Taka run again to the direction of the river, and the clone, run to the opposite. Taka sixth clone got shot again as it was close to go back to the rock, and the original Taka managed to get to the river, where she also found a tunnel where the water is circulating. There she sees a boat, and Taka has another idea on fooling the archer. She summoned another clone, ordered to use the boat to navigate on the river. The seventh clone accepted the plan and got along with it.

In just a few more seconds, while the clone was navigating on the river, it got a headshot again from the archer who is hiding on the building. And the original Taka, decides to use the tunnel where is leading on the other side of the village. While Taka is running with her spear tied on her back (is something the other clones weren't carrying to make the three teammates distinguish who is the real Taka) to the end of the tunnel, her teammates are about to face a flying retriever.
