Chapter 120 - Staying safe - Part 3

After a few moments, we came back to our house we got "reserved" for the following days. When we got there, we are seeing Taka, who is cleaning the garden of this house. I immediately go to help her, while Ulfred and Garnet are going into the house.

"Would you want to use my magic to be easier?" I asked her.

"No, thank you." she says to me. "Working without any magic help makes you feel much more energized."

"...I know what you are saying." I say top her after we both cleaned the path from the leafs who were falling from the trees, but not because of Autumn, but because these leafs are from a tree which is throwing leafs extremely useful in creating food. Diana is always collecting these leafs to use either in creating good dishes or she sells them to merchants, innkeepers or Taverns.

"Um... Did you really are from Kingdom of Bulgaria?"

"Yes. I am." says Taka taking a few leaves and throwing them into a basket. "Collect the leafs and bring it to this basket, Judah. These will be good to create Tea."

"Tea?"

"It is a drink which people from a far away kingdom enjoy a lot."

"What kingdom?"

"That who's on the other side of the desert. The drink will be amazed with these leafs. Now, go and collect it."

"Yes." I say to Taka not going to ask any more questions about this drink, she wanted to do it.

I took a small basket from the ones next to Taka, and proceed to collect the leafs from the ground. Furthermore, I go to a tree, I looked on the big roots and I see there a lot of green and yellow leafs. I took a green leaf, I twisted to look closely at her, and I showed it to Taka. She only shakes her head in sign of approval, so these green leafs mean that they are good in this drink she wanted to make, or "Tea" as she called it. I hope this will not contain the same ingredients as the one from yellow drink Ulfred drank earlier.

I took all the green leafs near the tree, and the basket wasn't even filled with them. Furthermore, I looked at those yellow who were having small circles with green colour, which means that these leafs might even be considered the one Taka is going to use at her tea preparation. I showed to her those yellow leaves, and she told me to not take those since they are not going to be a good use in making tea. I let those yellow leaves there, and I go to the other three of this property, the one in the back of the house.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

After I got there, I see the backyard is having three trees with a lot of green and yellow leaves. I go to one tree and proceed to take all the green leaves, which are completely green. While I was gathering those leaves, I proceed to think about Fiona: "Will she handle the situation on the Capital?" I thought to myself. "Will someone had the courage to hurt her?"

I am almost finished with the basket, and all it took was almost four trees to fill one basket full of leafs. I am looking at the grounds, only to see that a few greens leafs are completely coloured. Not only that, but I took those leafs and put it into the basket. Then I go to Taka, to show her the quantity of the leafs I just gathered, and to see if she will like it.

"It is good." she says to me when she looked at the basket I handed to them. "Now put them in the shelves of the Kitchen. I will come later to make them be the proper ingredient for the tea."

"And how will you do that?" I asked her before I was about to leave.

"Smashing them with a wooden or a stone hammer. They do make a good tea if you smash them properly."

I go to the kitchen with the basket, and when I got there, I put the basket off the first shelf I see. Then, I leave the kitchen and head to my bedroom to see if I can do something there. When I got into my bedroom, I see something on the frame of the window, a bird, but not any bird, a messenger bird, and it has a parchment page, tied with a red string, on his or her beak. I took the parchment and I proceed to read it.

"Dear, Judah! It is me, your uncle Big Gus. How are you doing it? I heard that you've got into a big mission, and it will most likely be exhausting. Good luck with that and be careful around this village, dear cousin. The reason why I do know about this mission, you've got it, is thanks to Fiona, who is fighting alongside me on the Capital against a few noble assassins. The things are heating up, but worry not, cousin. Fiona, I, Emma and other knight warriors are prepared to face even the death. I am not a good man at writing and I also don't have enough time to write, so I send you "Good luck!" in your mission and be careful at anything. Now, if you would like to send me a message, you can use this bird or one of the magical bird from your spell book. Goodbye, Judah Gremory."

This uncle has truly given something I quite did not expect. The parchment he sent to me glad that Fiona will not fight alone, and she will fight alongside with the help of my aunt, uncle and most likely other strong knights. I looked a moment at the bird, and she flew away from the frame, without even saying anything, even if he had the capacity like some bird to speak to humans or other type of animals.

I put the parchment paper into a book I grabbed with me before I left the Capital on that night and I go to the living room, to see how it is the atmosphere there.
