Chapter 46: Prime Minister must not be granted an easy death

As the Generals, Minister of War, Commander of the Imperial Guards, and the Commander of the Imperial Gòu Army along with the returning Shadow Commander entered the Imperial War Room, they all bow in greetings to the Emperor and Elder. Then set about helping to light the candles. In no time at all, the Imperial War Room was lit as brightly as if it was high noon.

As everyone took their seats at the table, the Emperor said, "Young General Wang, begin."

Wang Fèn Yǒng bowed to the Emperor and said, "Yes, Your Majesty."

Rising from where he was seated, Wang Fèn Yǒng turned to address everyone in the room in his normal Ice-Cold voice. "A few days ago, a friend of mine bought the old Chen manor." For the first time, aloud he admitted to accepting Liu Tián Qǔ as a friend causing a series of raised eyebrows and shocked looks.

General Yan even almost fell out of his seat. Everyone was thinking, 'Since when the Young Heir of Wang Royal Manor have friends ah?!? This young general will rather kill you than bother talking with you!?! Where did a friend jump out from?! Who is this friend? I must meet him! How did he get this young ancestor to be his friend?'

"During the transaction, he also happened to acquire Veiled Mountain."

"You mean that piece of shit mountain that got burned down and salted sitting outside the city?" Someone asked.

"Yes, today, he went to check out that mountain and ran into three smugglers." Wang Fèn Yǒng explained the fight of the three smugglers their death and the conversation that was overheard by his friend. Never once did he give Liu Tián Qǔ name. "I sent several people to investigate. It was found that veins of melded ore were found all over the mountain."

"I'm sorry, did you say melded ore" General Nie exclaimed, interrupting Wang Fèn Yǒng. Everyone else was lost in deep utter shock.

"Yes, it was also discovered that teams of smugglers have long begun large mining operations on this mountain. Some of the teams of smugglers were found to be outside forces?"

After an intense, ear buzzing pin dropping silence. Yelling exploded in the War room. Generals and commanders jumped out of their seats in shock.

"Who would dare who!" General Yan's voice boomed the loudest.

"In my country, outside of my city! I would know if that was so. Young General Wang, check again. This can't be right." The Minister of War yelled at Wang Fèn Yǒng. The Minister of War thought that Wang Fèn Yǒng's report had to be erroneous.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

"No way, absolutely no way. There is some sought of misunderstanding here. If it was so, how could I not know." General Nie screamed his denial at Wang Fèn Yong.

"Young General Wang go back and check again. Something has got to be wrong," General Lu yelled in anger.

Under the screaming and yelling of the Commanders and Generals. Who rudely pointed at Wang Fèn Yong while screaming and yelled their denial at him. Elder Wang's head snapped over to the Emperor for confirmation. The Emperor nodded his head in silent confirmation.

Elder Wang smiled. The Elder never uttered a word. He just smiled. However, this was no ordinary smile. It was the smile of a soul harvester who have come to harvest souls. This smile was so creepily scary that when the battle harden generals that were screaming noticed. They all fell silent, and some of them broke out in cold sweat.

"Commander come forward and give your report," Wang Fèn Yǒng commanded his Shadow guard Commander and sat down.

"Yes, Young General," the Shadow Commander said following Wang Fèn Yīng's command, he bowed and began his report all over again. "First, I will repeat the report I gave earlier for those who didn't hear it. Afterwhich, I will report the changes, new findings, and additions to the report."

The Shadow Commander repeated the report amongst cursing, angry shouting, disbelief, and anger.

The denial and disbelief faded into intense rage and the need to spill blood. The men present in the Imperial War Room were the Watch Guards of the country. However, for so long, an operation like this has been going on under their nose, right on the doorsteps of the Imperial City. Yet, somehow, they never detected it. They all felt as if they failed in their duty. They felt the intense need to wash away this failure and shame.

General Yan's voice rang out in a boiling rage after the Shadow Commander repeated the earlier report. "How? How is it possible we missed this? How was this kept quiet so long? I don't understand! This is a big operation, how was it kept quiet for so long? Are we missing something here? With this many people involved, it's impossible to keep this from getting out. Yet they still manage to keep this under wraps?"

Silence encompass the room before the shadow commander said, "In our reports, we were able to get proof of an alliance between Prime Minister Peng and Prince Jing of Josper. From the evidence we gathered, we were able to conclude that for over the past year. Prime Minister Peng and Prince Jing of Josper was in command of this operation. Between the two of them, they managed to keep this operation under wraps. They suppressed everyone who knew and was involved in the operation. However, no one expected that the mountain would sell. There was a conspiracy crafted by the Prime Minister and the Prince of Josper to keep the mountain from being sold. The sell of the mountain threw all their plans out the window. That's what bought this matter to light. Or I fear we would never have found out about this great injustice."

The ever sleepy-looking General Long. No longer look sleepy. An intense rage and hate for the prime minster burned in his eyes and his heart. Looking towards the Emperor, he said, "Your Majesty, the Prime Minister Peng, must not be granted an easy death."

An uproar of agreement broke out in the Imperial War Room. Everyone was screaming in rage that the Emperor must not grant the Prime Minister an easy death.
