Chapter 29: I bought a blind horse today

When Liu Tián Qǔ arrived at the blacksmith, her horse was already reshoed. It was tied to the hitching post outside of the blacksmith waiting for her. She quickly settled her bill with the blacksmith. She checked to make sure that the sack of ore was undisturbed. Then walking her horse, she began to make her way out of the busy market area, making her way toward the Wang Royal Manor.

Arriving at the Wang Royal Manor. The guards that were guarding the manor were different guards than the guards she saw last time. Liu Tián Qǔ Hoped that she wouldn't get a hard time. She first secured her horse to a post at the bottom of the steps, before climbing the steps to the manor.

Approaching the guards, she bowed and greeted them before saying, "My name is Liu Tián Qǔ. I am a friend to both the Heir of the Manor and the second young master. However, right now, I have a situation of grave importance. Is The Lord or First Lady of the Manor available?"

By now every one of Wang Royal Manor knew of Liu Tián Qǔ. Her name had even started to spread within the royal palace due to the situation regarding the map. So none of the guards took her lightly. "No Young Master Liu. They were summoned to the palace earlier during the day and have yet to return." One of the guards respectfully said.

"Is Wang Fèn Yǒng available? The situation is urgent." Liu Tián Qǔ said, adding hints of urgency to her voice.

"The Heir is here. I will have to send to find out if he is available to see you."

"Then I will wait here for you. Thank You."

The guard bowed and disappeared inside the manor. Liu Tián Qǔ clasped her hands behind her back. She closed her eyes, tilted her head back, and just enjoyed the gentle breeze of the evening. Feeling at peace, she emptied her thoughts and just allowed herself to be in the moment. She didn't know how long she stood that way. But that was how Wang Fèn Yǒng found her.

As Wang Fèn Yǒng approached Liu Tián Qǔ, he must have made a sound. Liu Tián Qǔ's eyes opened, and their gazes met. Wang Fèn Yǒng felt slightly shocked at the utter peace he saw in her eyes when their gaze met. Never had he seen such peace in a person's eyes who wasn't in a monastery.

Instead of hearing Wang Fèn Yǒng approach somehow with her eyes closed and her thoughts emptied. Liu Tián Qǔ felt him approach. Opening her eyes, Liu Tián Qǔ saw that familiar cold face and those ice-cold eyes. She felt happy to see him. Bowing in greetings, she said, "Something very important happened. I originally came to speak with the Grand Prince or the First Lady of the manor, but they are not home. I feel you are more than capable of handling the situation as well. So I asked to speak to you. Is there somewhere we can speak in private."

Looking at Liu Tián Qǔ with an odd look in his eyes. Wang Fèn Yǒng said, "Yes, there is. Follow me." He said and began to turn around to reenter the Manor.

Not moving, Liu Tián Qǔ stayed where she was and said. "Is there somewhere safe I can leave my horse. I bought a blind horse today. I don't feel comfortable abandoning her in front of your manor for a long period of time."

Wang Fèn Yǒng spun around sharply to see if she was joking. Looking at her intently, he said, "You make bring it in. I will have someone stable it for a while."

"Thank you," Liu Tián Qǔ said before retracing her steps to the bottom of the stair. Untying Wēi Guāng, she led Wēi Guāng up the stairs. "If you show me where the stables are, I can take Wēi Guāng over myself."

"Our servants in the stables are trained very well. Handling a situation like this is no problem for them. Allow them to take care of the horse." Wang Fèn Yǒng said in his normal cold manner.

Shortly after, a stable hand appeared, meeting them as they walked towards the destination Wang Fèn Yǒng was leading them towards. Upon seeing the stable hand, they came to a halt. Allowing the stable hand to approach them.

Liu Tián Qǔ removed the heavy sack and the packages with the heating stone and Little Dumpling's gift. Before passing the harness to the stable hand.

Liu Tián Qǔ never noticed Wang Fèn Yǒng eyeing her sack.

Following Liu Tián Qǔ instructions the stable hand use the harness and led Wēi Guāng away.
