Chapter 149: Training next generations Commanders, Generals, and Officers."

The Emperor looked over to the kneeling Minister of War and said, "Minister of war, I have a task for you." The startled Minister of War quickly rose to his feet and bowed deeply before responding, "Yes, Your Majesty."

"The scions of the Imperial city have too much time on their hands. Not even I am as free as the scions of the Imperial City," The Emperor said, causing everyone kowtowing in the Imperial Meeting Hall court to cringe as cold sweat drip down their brows. They were all vowing darkly in their hearts to beat to death the scions of their family that was involved in the brawl.

"We have a pending war on the horizon. Instead of training, studying, or finding a way to contribute to their country. The scions of the members of my Imperial court are too busy indulging in self-gratification. I want the Minister of War to draw up a plan for a training camp for the scions that were jailed."

At the words of the Emperor, an inaudible ripple undulated throughout the court. Everyone kowtowing before the Emperor swiftly mentally began composing themselves, so they quickly deliberate on the meaning of a training camp for scions with clarity.

The Emperor gave the Minister of War a stern meaningful look and said, "Minister of War, this training camp will not be a comfortable, relaxing retreat for the scions. The scions will be trained according to several of the training manuals that Elder Jiang left behind on War Preparation, Training for Officers, Tactics, Strategy, and The Governing of Military Warriors. I am putting you in charge of this project."

'Elder Jiang training manuals?!' Many of the kowtowing inwardly groaned, 'Why does it have to be Elder Jiang training manuals and why does it have to be the Minister of War?!"

The Minister of War was a sturdy, quiet man. However, there was one thing everyone knew about the Minister of War. The Minister of War was the Emperor's man. He was a loyal, devoted unwavering man who fully committed himself to his duties. That was why the Emperor put him in charge. The Emperor knew that Minister of War would not give in under the pressure of the member of the Imperial Court nor the noble and wealthy prominent families of High-Society. That's if they dared to try to pressure him. Although the Minister of War was a quiet man, the Minister of War was an expert martial artist who hailed from an influential family, he was no pushover.

All of the nobles, elders, ministers, and officials that were beginning to think of bribing the person in charge immediately discarded that idea.

The Training that Elder Jiang left behind was extremely arduous and strenuous. Only moments ago, they were thinking of beating to death the scions of their family that cause them such a big disgrace. However, contradictorily they were now wondering how their family's child was going to survive the extremely harsh training of Elder Jiang? Their sons were precious and carefully raised. How could they survive it?

'Wait! Training for officers?! The Governing of Military Warriors?!'

Most of the members of the Imperial court were experienced politicians. The members of the Imperial court immediately began giving the training camp serious thought. "A training camp for officers and war preparation! Isn't this training for the next generation's Generals? This training camp, if done right, could bring significant change in the Tolling Lands and bring great honor to their families! Wasn't this supposed to be a punishment? This was no punishment!

At this thought, yet another low ripple undulated throughout the Meeting Hall. The gathered nobles, elders, ministers, and officials began looking over at each other, checking to see if they were the only ones analyzing the idea of the training camp in this manner or if others were drawing the same conclusion.

"It will be as Your Majesty commanded," The Minister of War bowed.

"Minister of War, do not disappoint me. I will be keeping a very close watch. All of the scions that were arrested are to remain in jail until the completion of the camp. After the completion of the camp, they are to be immediately transported to the camp and began training. You may all rise," the Emperor commanded.

As all the Nobles, Ministers, Officials, and Retired Elders that were summon began to rise. The Emperor paused to read the expressions on the faces of the men gathered before him. Liking what he saw, particularly from the officials of military backgrounds, the Emperor mentally nodded to himself.

"Although the idea of this training camp didn't originate in a typical way. I can see that everyone understands the magnitude of change this training camp will bring. Of the Ministers, Officials, and prominent noble families whose children were not involved in this incident, I want will not command it. Nevertheless, I want you to consider having children of your families to join the training camp. I will discuss this matter with Jiang Tài Píng of the Jiang family and the Grand Commander. If we have to search the whole of the Tolling Lands to find what we are looking for, then we will. I am determined to bring in the best teachers to assist in training our next generation of Commanders, Generals, and Officers."

Everyone in the Imperial Meeting Hall gathered before the Emperor stirred and forcefully controlled their excitement when the Emperor confirmed their suspicions. The origin of the camp was to train the next generation of generals and commanders! Then why only send one of my family's children. I must send more children! Survive? My family's children better survive. If they come home in disgrace, then I will really beat them to death!

Unbeknownst to the Imperial court, this idea that the Emperor implemented had been an idea he had been thinking over for a long time. However, the Emperor didn't want to fight with the members of the Imperial court to get it implemented. That would take to long. So why not kill two birds with one stone?

Imperial City; Liu Residence

First thing after her breakfast with Wang Fèn Yǒng, Liu Tián Qǔ had all the servants of Liu Residence gather. Liu Tián Qǔ informed them that the Emperor commanded an immediate search of Liu Residence. Each servant was given gold, and one full week off to do whatever it is they wanted to do. Liu Tián Qǔ made sure to remind all of the servants to be mindful of their deportment on the outside.

With Wang Fèn Yǒng's help Liu Tián Qǔ gave all of the servants a very special task that was to carry out immediately before they could go off to enjoyed their week off. A short while later after receiving their orders dazed, almost incoherent servants left Liu Residence after being dismissed.

Since the Imperial Family came over and created such a disturbance. Liu Tián Qǔ decided to take full advantage of it. She decided to give the running of the Residence to the special team of warriors Elder Wang ordered to be sent over for three days. Those three days, they would be able to search the Residence and remove as many Knell Stones as they wanted. That eliminated the worry of Manager Kuo or Elder Kuo seeing something that they shouldn't see.

The remaining four days of the week, Elder Kuo and Manager Kuo would have the run of the Residence where they can take their time and transport the big grove and tea garden.

Liu Tián Qǔ's horses were taken over to Wang Royal Manor and stabled there. Wēi Yǒng Měng, Wēi Wò Yàn, Jūn Zhōng Xīn, and Měng Tiān Cái had also missed the blinding bright golden light that had lit up the skies over Liu Garden Residence. Jiang Tài Píng discussed the matter with them filling them in on what they had missed.

After that discussion, Wēi Yǒng Měng, Wēi Wò Yàn, Jūn Zhōng Xīn, and Měng Tiān Cái had agreed to accept the offer the First lady of Wang Manor had extended to stay at Wang Royal Manor during the search.

Liu Tián Qǔ was having an extraordinarily busy morning. However, Liu Tián Qǔ made it her business to make time for Manager Kuo, his grandfather Elder Kuo, and his Uncle Kuo Shān Yì. The three men had presented themselves at Liu Garden Residence bright an early that morning. Elder Kuo was so emotional that tears steadily dripped down from his eyes from the moment he entered Liu Residence to the moment Liu Tián Qǔ sent the men on their way.

At the break of dawn, Manager Kuo had first brought his grandfather to see Doctor Ru. After a thorough check-up. Elder Kuo was diagnosed as poisoned.

The doctor informed the men of the Kuo family that years ago, Elder Kuo must have been poisoned with a mild poison. Fortunately, his body had fought off the poison.

The doctor who attended to Elder Kuo misdiagnosed the poisoning as an illness that had similar symptoms to the poison. The good thing was that the medicine that was prescribed to Elder Kuo years ago could also be considered a diluted remedy for the poison that was in Elder Kuo's body.

The problem was that the medication was only able to do so much, and Elder Kuo didn't take it long because the Kuo family could no longer afford it. So remnants of the poison had remained in his body.

Doctor Ru made a special detox for Elder Kuo. This detox was to remove the remaining poison. Doctor Ru as gave Elder Ru a special prescription to help reverse the damage the poison caused to his body over the period of years.

Elder Kuo had turned down Liu Tián Qǔ's offer of employment, but he promised to come over and help his grandson Manager Kuo to transport the grove and tea garden to the big hill when it was time.

Manager Kuo's uncle Kuo Shān Yì was a tall, silent sharp-eyed man who didn't speak much. He agreed to accept Liu Tián Qǔ's offer of employment.

The men all profusely thanked Liu Tián Qǔ for her generosity. However, Liu Tián Qǔ didn't do what she did only out of the goodness of her heart. She needed the help of the Kuo family. So she generously gave them more than they asked for, knowing that after they accepted her generosity, it would be hard to turn her down.

The Kuo family bought a beautiful manor that was not too far from Liu Residence. The Kuo family also invited Doctor Ru, Hòu Dao, and her former assistant Lì Qiáng to stay with them during the week off. The Doctor, Hòu Dao, and Lì Qiáng took the Kuo Family up on that offer.

Liu Tián Qǔ rented the best suite in the best hotel in the Imperial City for the Wu family to stay for the week and made sure to cover their food and expenses for the week. Several house guards were also assigned to them to keep them safe.

Liu Tián Qǔ also gave Lady Wu Yǐn Rán a financial advancement so the family would have spending money to purchase anything they needed while outside. Liu Tián Qǔ had Butler Zhou inform the scholars hired to educate her servants to teach the two young daughters for the week instead.

All of Liu Residence house guards were sent to the Jiang Family garrison outside of the city. The Garrison was approximately 60% restored however Jiang Tài Píng informed Liu Tián Qǔ that he checked out the Garrison himself and it was okay for her house guards to stay there. Jiang Tài Píng also informed Liu Tián Qǔ that he would spend the week training the house guards, looking for land for the Garrison, and begin building her army.

By noon the Liu Residence was empty of all guards and servants. Only Liu Tián Qǔ was allowed to remain in Residence.

A team of Imperial Dragoon Shadow Warriors specially assigned by the Emperor and a special team of warriors handpicked by Elder Wang took over the Residence.

This did not go unnoticed by the Minister, Officials, and Nobles of High-Society. By midafternoon Liu Residence had become a household name among the prominent noble families and high society. Many nobles took it upon themselves to personally walk or drive by Liu Residence to see if the Dragoon Shadow Warriors had really taken command of Liu Residence.

While these Ministers, Officials, and Nobles of High-Society were busy watching Liu Residence, a sudden phenomenon shook the very foundation of the Imperial City.

By late afternoon it became apparent in the Imperial City that something was wrong with the noblewomen and the women of wealthy prominent families of High- Society. Not only that, but something was also wrong with their servants and their slaves. All the Ministers, Officials, and Nobles of High-Society no longer had time to worry about the Master of Liu Residence. They had to rush home and put out the fire in their own homes first.

In her previous life, on a normal day, Liu Tián Qǔ couldn't care less about the people gunning for her. However, she knew that if she stayed quiet and allowed the Ministers, Officials, and Nobles of High-Society to come after her with no response. That would make her a sheep on the hunting grounds of wolves. The only time Liu Tián Qǔ would allow herself to be labeled as a sheep is if she was playing a wolf dressed in sheep clothing.
