Liu Tián Qǔ left the bookstore, waving to the peddler as he passed him. She immediately set out looking for a medicine shop where she could order a ton of strengthening tonics and begin building up her body immediate so she could take the Black Blossom dual potion.
Walking by a skewered candied hawthorn stall, Liu Tián Qǔ stopped and bought one. She asked the stall owner for directions to the traditional medicine shop. After repeating the instructions the stall owner gave back to the stall owner to be sure she understood the directions correctly. Liu Tián Qǔ began making her way to the medicine shop.
As Liu Tián Qǔ ate her skewered candied hawthorns and leisurely strolled through the market. She felt a sense of happiness and well being come over her. Liu Tián Qǔ took in the sounds, sights, and scents of the market. Liu Tián Qǔ just felt happy to be alive and well.
Liu Tián Qǔ arrived at the traditional medicine shop as she finished off her skewered candied hawthorn. Disposing of the skewer, she entered the medicine shop. What greeted her was the deep, intense scent of mixed traditional medicines. And the sight of a big tall, muscular man kowtowing with all his might bashing his head against the floor as he pleaded for help.
There were four other customers in the shop. One outright watched the kowtowing man as he continuously thunked his head against the floor. The other three turned away and acted like they didn't see the kowtowing man. Two of the shop workers were trying their best to pull the man up from the floor to shove him out of the shop. However, the kowtowing man was a big man.
Liu Tián Qǔ tried to listen in to see why the strong young man was pleading. More shop workers came from the back of the shop. They began to work together to drag the big man from the shop. The strong man had blood dripping from his forehead and tears pouring from his eyes as he begged for someone to please help him save his wife.
It took six men working together to drag him. He was begging and pleading with strong tears and dripping blood, and it moved Liu Tián Qǔ's heart. As the shop workers were dragging the strong man out the door. Two voices rang out in the shop. A young voice saying "Wait just a minute," and the deep voice of a matured man commanded, "Halt."
The young voice belonged to Liu Tián Qǔ, and the other voice belonged to the man who had outright watched the strong man kowtow. They paused and looked at each other. The shop attendants froze giving the strong young man a chance to break free.
Liu Tián Qǔ disregarded the man that spoke out with her. Inwardly she sneered at him in disgust thinking 'You were in this shop all that time watching the poor man bust his head on the floor, now that he almost cracked open his head you want to help? What? You want to see the color of his brains before you decide if you want to help him. Ah?'

Walking toward the strong man Liu Tián Qǔ grabbed him to keep him from kowtowing to her. "What is it? What do you need help with?"
"Young Master my wife just gave birth and is very sick, the doctors checked and gave me this prescription." He said, holding out a crumpled piece of paper towards Liu Tián Qǔ.
She took the crumpled piece of paper. As Liu Tián Qǔ took a look at the prescription, her eyebrows rose in surprise. Even in her past life, these were expensive ingredients.
"The Phoenix Medicine shop gave me this prescription free for the first two days. They have been very kind to me. I know it is shameless of me to keep coming here every day to beg for them to give me the medicine for free. However, the doctor said that my wife must take this medicine for three weeks. I've exhausted every other option that I could. I have no other choice but to be shameless to save my wife."
"Good man!" Liu Tián Qǔ praised him as she heavily patted one of his arms to console him. She handed him back the crumpled piece of paper on which the doctor wrote the prescription. "When it comes to saving a loved one, every option should be exhausted."
Liu Tián Qǔ was aware that everyone in the shop was watching to see what she would do. She just didn't give a damn. Turning to one of the shop assistants that helped to drag the strong man from the shop, "Please provide this gentleman with three weeks worth of the prescribed medicine. I will cover the expense."
Looking at how richly she was dressed. Hesitantly the shop assistant said, "Young Master each prescription is one gold each."
Looking directly into the shop assistant eyes Liu Tián Qǔ allowed displeasure to show in her eyes, "I understand, I will cover the expense. You may go and prepare them now." Liu Tián Qǔ said in an authoritative voice allowing the displeasure she showed in her eyes to resonate in her voice while gesturing with a wave of her hand for him to go.
Ducking his head down the attendant quickly left disappearing into the back of the shop.
The young, strong man once again began to kowtow to show his gratitude. Liu Tián Qǔ grabbed him to stop him. Feeling the eyes of everyone in the shop. Liu Tián Qǔ told the strong young man, "I think that's enough of banging your head on the floor my good man. Any more of that and your brains may splatter out. Then where would your wife be? Ah?"
With a light teary chuckle, tears in his eyes and blood dripping from his head, he asked, "May I know Young Master's name, so I make thank Young Master properly."
"With a slight smile, she said, "My name is Liu Tián Qǔ, may I ask what is your name?"
The strong man cupped his hands to bowing in greetings. The shop attendants that were standing behind him that dragged him earlier began to disperse. After cupping his hands, he bowed in greetings before saying, "My name is Jiang Tài Píng." That name resonated in Liu Tián Qǔ's mind. She knew it was an important name, but she was too busy to go digging in her predecessors' memory at that moment.
