Warhawx's X-mas X-Over X-pecial (Part 1/3)

Author’s corner: HELLO HELLO! MERRY CHRISMTAS YOU ALL!

ANYWAY, I know I still owe you guys chapter 101, but I’ll get to it later. For now, let’s talk about what’s happening. You see, me and the author from (Re)Install and Spiritsmith decided to get together and make a three part Christmas special crossover! Why? No idea! Don’t go expecting anything grand happening, though, as the idea is mostly what would happen if the characters found themselves in a room together, so instead of content, we are focusing more on the flow of the story. (If it wasn’t clear enough, I’m also the author of the two other fics, okay?) Anyway, each part will be posted in one of the stories and will be posted one the day before, during, and the day after (hopefully). I know not everyone read all stories, so I will make sure to at least post a link here after they are posted.

ALSO, The reason for the delay of 101 isn’t anything serious tbh. I got 1.5k words of the chapter done, which is almost half of the chapter done. But I simply can’t bring myself to write it, thus the delay.

ALSO(2), be warned that this special was hastily created, thus the fourth wall is very feeble, so expect some leaks during this story.

Enjoy your story!

“Oookay...” I said while looking around. “This is weird.”

“Shi-Shishou? Where are we?” Yuu asked, seemingly as confused as myself.

“I sincerely have no idea, my apprentice.” I said while trying to take in the information around me.

We were in some kind of room that wouldn’t look out of place in a desolate wooden log cabin, lost in the middle of nowhere. The room itself was fairly simple, with only a bed to sit in and a wooden door with a strange lock embedded in it and a locked window that led to a beautiful snowy forest outside.

Besides that, there really wasn’t much to the room at all, except the fact that it was large enough to hold not only the two of us, but also Lieutenant, Cyg and Aura who came in with us. Strangely enough, Aura was in her small pet form, but I didn’t really have enough time to worry about it, as another thing caught my attention.

“Thi-This is strange… I… I can’t remember what happened...” The floating crystal elemental said in a worried tone. “I… We… Just now… We were in the cave, you were hunting… Then… We are here… Wearing these...”

Looking at the distressed Crys who was almost literally losing her head on the matter, I sighed exhaustedly before resting my hand on her head and petting her so she could calm down. She blinked surprised before looking up to me, making a sign for her to stay quiet, I whispered only loud enough for the others in the room to hear.

“Look, don’t tell anyone, but there’s no need to worry. This is just a discontinuity in time space created for the sole reason of fulfilling the author’s desire to write a christmas special with all his main stories at the same time.” As I said that to her, I noticed as the others also widened their eyes in surprise.

“How do you know that?” She asked me confused.

“Magic fourth wall breaking powers!” I smiled widely while making a thumbs up, but feeling a chill down my spine. “Ughh… The author seems mad. Better stop here and go back to the story.” As I said that, I started taking off the foolish idea that I know what was happening and went back to the usual.

Clearing my throat, I went back to the script.

“Hmm… now that you mention it, I also don’t remember what happened.” I said with a frown before looking at the others. “But I don’t think I mind the clothes. They do give this christmas-ish feeling.”

While nodding to myself, I made sure to engrave in my mind the image of Yuu wearing a red white fur trimmed dress that went all the way to her knees. On her head laid one of those Santa hats that people wear in christmas.

The others, myself included, weren’t saved from this christmaslization of our outfits. Aura, who had already taken the chance to leap on my arms and snuggle against me, had a small red and green muffler around her neck and wore a green santa hat. Lieutenant and I went full Santa claus, wearing the full winter coat, pants and the usual hat, mine being red and his green. Lastly, Crys had her maid outfit changed to a red and white pattern, and although she didn’t have the santa hats, her headgear did get a few cute pom poms added as a ear mufflers.

“Nya-ha-ha-ha!” I heard Lieutenant calling us.

Blinking surprised, I turned to look at him and found him hanging on the door’s doorknob, showing us that it was open. Giving a brief look at the others, I made the most obvious decision.

“Let’s wait.”

““Huh?”” Crys and Yuu echoed.

“Nya-ha-ha!” Lieutenant nodded understanding my intention.

“You see, I sincerely have absolutely no idea of what is going on here...” I held back a laugh at that. Me? The mighty fourth wall breaker not knowing? Preposterous! “But I have the feeling that we aren’t alone. I don’t know how they would react if we went in, but the later we get in, the more impact our arrival will have, right?”

With my words, the two stared at me in wonder as the idea behind my words. And as they digested the idea behind them, after some time, Crys finally said.

“That’s foolish.” And turned to the door, opening it.

“HEY! BUT… OUR TRIUMPHAL ENTRANCE!” I said while jumping forward and trying to stop her, but it was a bit too late and the elemental christmas maid opened the door. Having too much momentum made me go right through the door and fall face first into the floor, just barely having time to take Aura from under me..

MY TRIUMPHAL ENTRANCE! RUINED! CYGNASDAMMIT!

As I mourned on the ground, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching me. Feeling as Yuu helped me up, I looked around in a dejected manner, seeing as six other people… People? Stared at me with a various mix of expressions.

As I stood up, I scanned the other people, all of whom came from doors similar to ours and were separated in two groups of same size. One group wore strange robe-like attires that reminded me of martial artist, but with the theme of christmas. That said, they had a really unbalanced age variety, with two of them being girls that I would judge to be at most four or five years old, the younger one having long black hair and made my petting hand itch, while the older one had short purple hair and held a fan over her mouth with a haughty look. Finally, there a bald old man with a massive beard who fit perfectly into the easternized version of Santa Claus robe he wore.

The black haired girl looked at me in curiosity, while the other two stared at me in a mix of wariness and hostility.

On the other hand, the second group had a bigger variety. With an emotionless looking white haired catgirl wearing a red jacket and pants, she gave me the impression of being extremely strong. Besides her was a young girl whom I sincerely had no idea of what she was. Her skin looked ridiculously smooth and soft at the same time, to the point that it was clearly not human. It was milky white coloration with some red markings around it, her ‘hair’ looking like a single mass that fell on her back. She wore a short red santa dress and hat and hid shyly behind the cat girl while eyeing Crys in curiosity, her appearance also making my petting hand itch. Lastly on the group, was what caught my attention.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

IT WAS A FREAKING ROBOTIC WOLF! Like, a real robot in the shape of a wolf! He was a bit bulkier than what I expected, but he did look really cool as he eyed me with its cameras he had for eyes. The armor moving smoothly as he walked around to the point I couldn’t barely hear it clicking.

Noticing how all the eyes were gathered on me, I quickly straightened my back and cleared my throat.

“Greetings people. I have sincerely no idea who *snicker* you are, so I guess it’s only fair that I start introducing myself.” I said while putting on a pompous pose. “My name is Gondorrer Gravelhear… No wait...” Cygnas dammi… “Wait, I got it right this time?”

“Master. You are embarrassing me.” Crys said while face-palming herself. Her voice making the others jump in surprise.

“Shi-Shishou...” Yuu agreed with a wry smile.

“What? It’s such a staple joke that it already became a normal reaction to fix myself!” I complained. It’s not like it’s my fault I keep making this mistake! Angrily turning back to the group, I went on. “Excuse me. As I was saying, my name is Gondorrer Gravelheart, I am but a simply crafter golem who goes around killing ridiculously strong monsters so I can take their skin and make armor and weapons out of them.”

“...Golem?” The catgirl asked in an emotionless tone.

“I… Never heard of something like that...” The small red girl agreed besides her

“You… Does that means you aren’t a spirit beast?” The old man asked while glaring at me.

“I sincerely have no idea what the hell a spirit beast is, but I can assure you I’m mostly harmless.” I replied while giving a brief nod and putting on my best business smile. “Unless there’s a monster involved that gets my interest.”

“Ohoo. Then would this strange golem mind telling me what exactly that gets your interest?” The girl holding the fan asked with a haughty tone. I frowned slightly at her words but nodded.

“Well, for example, I guess the robot there is the closest here to get my attention.” I said while pointing to the wolf that flinched surprised before staring at me. Could he be intelligent? While the purple haired girl and the old man looked at the wolf in confusion, the black haired girl stared at me with her eyes wide in excitement.

“Then, does that mean that you would hunt mister robot?” She asked me.

“Well...” Not really, seeing how it was accompanying the two strange girls. I didn’t get the chance to finish these words, because a moment later the white haired cat-girl appeared in front of me, holding me by the hem of my clothes and staring me with an intensity that made my body go numb.

“Do NOT touch Beepy.” She said.

I was about to nod, but before I had the chance, I saw as the floor beneath the girl froze and Yuu swung her ice spear right across her head. However, she jumped back fast enough to barely dodge it.

“Don’t touch Shishou.” Yuu said while stepping in front of me and staring at the white haired girl. The two of them locked gazes for a moment, but I quickly made Yuu stand down by relieving my petting itch on her.

“Don’t mind Yuu.” I replied briefly while trying to make my legs not fall down. “She’s a bit overprotective of me sometimes.”

“That’s… Not a little.” The red girl said worriedly.

“Well, your feline friend wasn’t exactly peaceful either.” The old man added, lowering his guard slightly before eyeing the two girls. “Though I must say that the two of you are surprisingly skilled. Are you Spiritualists by any chance?”

“They aren’t, master Roshi.” The black haired girl said with a shake of her head. But seriously, master Roshi? Well, he does look a lot like that… I’ll keep him away from Yuu just to be safe.

“Are you sure, cute plebeian?” The purple haired girl asked surprised. “Although I never heard of something like that, I don’t think that spear is something normal people could ever create.”

“Then… She’s an esper?” The red girl asked with her eyes wide. “But… She’s not… Elf?” She tilted her head confused. “...What is she? Lynnian?”

“She’s a kitsune, and she’s a magical being!” I explained while pointing to her wagging tails. “And she’s magically fluffy too!”

As I said that, the eyes of everyone else in the room suddenly went dead-fish eyed, except for the black haired girl and the robot, who looked at her in surprise. Aah, the power of main characters of actually understanding what’s going on.

“...Magic?” They said in synchrony while having clear disbelief in their eyes.

“Yeah! Magic!” I said angrily. “Don’t look at me with those dead fish eyes. Look at this!” I said pointing to crys. “How else would you explain a bunch of floating crystals that can talk and act as a maid?”

“Maid?” The purple haired girl asked confused. “Is that the same as an Aide?”

“...Close enough, I guess?” I said confused.

“Fu fu. Then are you some kind of noble, Mister Gondorrer?”

“You can call me Gon for short.” I replied with a shake of my head. “And no, if I were a noble...”

“...I fear for what would happen.” Crys completed for me with a sigh, receiving a confused glance from the others. “Oh, pardon my manners. My name is Crys, and I’m acting as Gon’s maid.” She said while making a curtsy.

“...Cute.” I heard the cat girl say for a moment.

“Well, taking this chance, might as well as present you guys to my other friends here.” I said while picking up the fox from the ground and holding her up so the others could see. “This here is Aura, and she’s a freezing tail.” I said while presenting her to the others. “She’s a magical fox who can control ice and is oddly similar to Yuu, but I don’t mind since she’s fluffy.” Then I turned around and looked for Lieutenant. “And that thing over there at the dinner table trying to sneak a fish out from the plate is Lieutenant General Whiskers McBallofur Maximilliamus Von Scratchy the Third.” As I said that, Lieutenant quickly jumped up and turned to us, making a salutation and hiding the fish behind him. “He’s a trick cat and likes to play pranks.”

“Do they also talk?” The black haired girl asked anxious, but I shook my head. She clearly became disheartened by that, but the purple haired girl quickly went on to hug and pet her.

Hmm… I feel the envy coursing through me. I discharged my petting hand on Aura, who, surprisingly enough, didn’t seem to mind the situation.

“Well, that’s it for our introduction. So, who’s next?” I said while looking at the groups.

Seeing how the two kids were lost in their own world and the Old man was still analyzing the cat girl’s stance earlier in his mind, the red girl took a step forward and gathered her courage.

“I’m… Hmm… My name is Ruby.” She said shyly, gathering the attention of others, which only served to make her shy away a bit. “I’m… A morphian.”
