No, I won't stop writing Insania, before any of you enter in despair (or mad glee if you hate me, i guess...) In fact, this is just the opposite. This is something I have to do if I want to keep writing
As you may have noticed, my fight scenes are a bit... Draggy. And I agree, that they are a bit under the average when it comes to the remainder of the story. One of the things I was recommended to do was to add status effects and damage multipliers when hitting certain parts of the body, like giving slow when hitting the legs, but dealing less damage than if I hit the body or landing brutals on certain parts give a bleeding debuff. This could help me giving a bit more variation to the fights and make Wargon do a few wargon-like ideas things during the fights.
I myself kind of like this idea, and plan to add it. HOWEVER, the fight with the blazing tail didn’t exactly take that in consideration… So I am currently left with two options. One is where I go back and rewrite all the fighting scene (The preparations and aftermath are going to be kept the same) maybe even adding some crazy ideas or two. The other one is where I blame the intimidation debuff for always giving the smallest multiplier independent of where the hit lands and he is unable to apply the status, but now that he isn’t affected, he starts to apply it to his fights. This mechanic would be left only for boss-tier or higher enemies, so I wouldn’t need to rewrite all the previous fights.
Stolen story; please report.
FOR NOW, I’m going with the second option as I write the next chapter, but I’m leaving a poll here to see what you guys would rather have me doing. If you have other suggestions, please leave a comment and I’ll see what I can do.
I'll delete this post once the voting is done.
