Author’s corner: HELLO HELLO! Back to Insania and some more shenanigans!
ANYWAY, Back to Insania, technically, the arc is still going on as it will be only a short moment of Insania before back to one final piece of Yuu in IRL, at least for this day!
ALSO, As I said, Wyverns choose their scales coloration as they are young, which means that Rio didn’t choose hers yet. So, for those of you who knows MH, Green is taken, so pink or gold? (And if someone says black, Unknown is biologically NOT a Rathian, even if she looks like one.)
Edit: ALSO(2), Almost forgot, but... INSANIA 2K FOLLOWERS! CYGNAS BE PRAISED, BROTHERS, FOR THE CHURCH ONLY GROWS!
Have a good read!

“I’ll take you to the hotel.” My father said in a friendly way while smiling to Hattori and Fuyuki.
“Wouldn’t that trouble you?” Hattori asked worried after quickly translating my father’s words for Fuyuki, but my father shook his head while waving his hand away.
“It’s close to where we live anyway, so it doesn’t make much difference.” My father said with a shrug before turning to us. “So, what will you do meanwhile?”
“Well, for now I think that we should go back home.” I said with a shrug. “The girls probably still have some final things to do at their house and I’m exhausted.” I said briefly while patting my full belly. My father nodded while Yuu and Mary also looked like they approved the idea, with Maya being completely indifferent to the discussion.
My father nodded in agreement while fishing the keys from his pocket as we left the restaurant. Yuu quickly said her goodbyes to her father since she would take a ride with us on Paul’s car. I did notice that Hattori glared at me for a brief moment, since I was going with his daughter.
Sadly for him, his daughters also caught sight of his glare and stared holes at him, making him shiver in worry, which in turn, got the sight of Fuyuky, who immediately grabbed his ear and started to drag him away to the car. I smiled a bit mischievously at the scene, before turning towards the other car and opening the trunk.
“No!” Yuu said while grabbing my hand before I could enter the trunk. “Why does Shihshou have to ride there? It’s unbecoming for you!” She said with a hurt tone. I smiled a bit wryly not knowing how to answer her.
“Well, we can’t really have too many people riding around inside the car or else we could get in trouble.” I said briefly. “If I go in the trunk, there’s less chance of we being caught. Besides, it won’t get too cramped in there for you girls.” I said while petting her, but she clearly became sullen at that.
“Then let me go! That way Shishou doesn’t…” Before she could finish her words I gave her a light chop to the head, making her flinch slightly.
“Look, you two and extra are guests here, so I can’t have you riding around on the trunk of our car! That’s not respectable enough!” I said in a fake angry tone. Yuu pouted before looking back at Barbara and Paul.
“Then we can have Paul-san ride on the trunk!” She said quickly. I felt emotional at that fact, the first person she says to take the fall and it’s Paul! She makes me so proud! Holding back an emotional tear, I once again started petting her, which made her close her eyes in pleasure.
“We can’t do that. As much of a luggage he is, the car is still his, so we have to let him drive.” I said with some weight in my heart, making Yuu as she nodded lightly.
“I… Really want to go and hit him… But I can’t seem to enter that little world of theirs.” I heard Paul talking with a wry tone while scratching his head.
I blinked confused for some time before noticing that Yuu still held me with her soft hand while standing closely to me. Smiling a bit wryly, I became a bit embarrassed by the atmosphere around us while Yuu seemed confused by my reaction. Only when she heard Mary giggling lightly that it finally sunk in the situation we were in.
Blushing violently, Yuu immediately turned away embarrassed while I smiled awkwardly. Taking the chance, I quickly entered the trunk and brought the door down, laying on the floor as I waited for the others to come in.
I heard the sound of doors opening a couple of times and the car slightly sinking in as the extra weight entered it. Paul turned on the motor and soon he started driving backwards as to get out from the parking lot.
…
“Home sweet home!” I said cheerfully while entering the corridor from our floor. Yuu still felt a bit sullen about me riding in the trunk, so she kept pouting while following me closely.
“So, what are you going to do now?” Barbara asked me while I walked to the door of my apartment.
“What I do every day, Barbara!” I said in a cheerful tone as I opened up the door of my apartment. “Hole up in my room and not leave so soon!” I said, but before I could even take a step into my apartment, I felt as someone grabbed me by my neck and pulled me back.
“Are you planning on holing up and going to play Insania like a madman?” Barbara said in an annoyed tone.
“Huhhh… Yes?” I said a bit confused.
“What about the girls?” She asked me while pointing at Yuu and Mary.
“Well, they are going to make the last adjustments on their house, right?” I asked confused.
“And after that?” Barbara asked me with a raised eyebrow.
“Huhh…” I said while looking at them. “Play Insania?” Barely the words left my mouth and I received a hit to my head.
“So, you are saying that these two girls came here from the other side of the world, only so that you can log on an online game and play?” Barbara asked me while her eyes burned with anger. Paling at the sight, I gulped loudly before smiling and nodding, only to receive another hit to the head. “You have three hours. After that we are taking the girls outside.” She told me in a cold tone.
“Where to?” I asked confused.
“Think you fool!” She shouted angrily at me.
“I’m an antisocial shut-in!” I said back at her. “The only place I know on the whole city that could get remotely close to a hang-out place is the mall!”
“There. Mall it is then.” She said with a nod before turning to the girls. “You heard him. We are going to the mall in three hours.”
“You seem really close to Rick-kun…” Mary commented with a slightly suspicious tone. Yuu blinked surprised at her words while staring at her.
“Oh?” Barbara blinked surprise before nodding heavily. “We tried dating once. Didn’t really work up very well, so we ended breaking up.” She said briefly.
As I said a long time ago, but you guys probably forgot, me and Barbara dated a long time ago, but even after we broke up we keep being friends.
Well, Yuu didn’t know that, so she stared at us in shock for a moment before looking helpless while lowering her head. I smiled a bit awkwardly at her and saw as Barbara held back on a face-palm for having said that without a thought.
“Well, that was a long time ago, so it barely makes a difference right now.” I said with a shrug.
“A long time?” Yuu asked doubtful, and we nodded. “Yeah. A few years by now, right?” I said while looking at Barbara and she nodded hastily.
“I see…” Yuu said lightly before nodding.
“We’ll be ready in three hours then!” Mary said while quickly dragging Yuu away from the place. “Call us when you are coming, okay?” She said cheerfully.
Maya stared at the two going ahead before turning to me with a conflicted look. I raised an eyebrow at her until she finally sighed out loudly. Then she prostrated before me, shocking me and Barbara.
“Please, master. Teach this poor maid how to get my own pinky world with milady just like you do with Yukihime-dono!” She said with her best serious face.
I stared at her shocked for some time before holding back my laughter. Maya kept quiet there, unmoving for a long time. Only when I calmed myself and decided to roll with the joke.
Putting my hand on her shoulder, I raised her so that she could stand up. We locked our gazes and I nodded with a ferocious expression.
“Listen here, my sister in mischief-making.” I said in a serious tone. “To hold upon the power of pinky-world-creating you must understand, that such status can only be achieved once you become open with your true feelings enough that the other party knows about it, while at the same time not exhibiting it too much to the point that it disturbs them.”
She looked at me with a shocked expression before nodding, having a determined expression on her face. I smiled at her and extended my hand towards her, which she grabbed and shook happily.
“Good luck, sister.” I told her.
“Thanks for the tip, Aniki.” She told me before darting off to the girl’s apartment. Once there, I heard as she closed the door, before saying something loud enough that we could hear from the corridor. “Milady! I find you adorable and really want to hug you!”
Barbara and I were shocked at the sudden exclamation she made, and for some time we stared at each other in confusion before finally laughing loudly. Well, at least I did, she simply shook her head while face-palming.
“Geez, War. Can’t you do something serious for once?”
I blinked surprised for a moment before turning to the owner of the voice.
“Paul? You were here?” I asked surprised.
His face distorted in shock and anger as he tried to kick me.
After a quick extreme martial arts exchange with him, I quickly gave my goodbyes to the two, deciding to spend my three free hours on the best and most efficient way possible. Multiplying them by three and playing Insania!
I mean, yeah, I could go and try to help the girls, but when I say that I would have absolutely no idea on what I would have to do, as well almost certain that I would end up messing up if I tried to help. Being lazy was one of the reasons, but not the only one.
Anyway, I asked Cyg to keep an eye out for the girls and call me should they need any help. She agreed quickly while I laid on my bed, putting the D-lute on my head, I laid back and logged in.
The world quickly turned back and I felt as the tiredness I felt was slowly shoved back into my real body, leaving me refreshed on the virtual body as I moved around for some time. Smiling satisfied, I nodded and looked for the window that opens with the log-in button. Pressing it, I immediately took the window as the world changed around me and crumpled it into a ball.
Taking it, I quickly got into a baseball thrower position while aiming to the spot Cygnas usually popped up into.
Except that she wasn’t there. Looking around confused with my window ball still in hands, I looked for my target confused for some time. Suddenly, I felt as something hit me on my back, making me stumble forward and almost fall with my face on the ground. Feeling something on my back, I quickly turned my head only to see Cygnas in her crystal golem form smiling cheerfully while clinging to me.
I frowned slightly confused at her unusual behavior, and she replied me with an innocent face of confusion that would have got me, if I didn’t know how she usually was.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“Okay… What happened?” I asked dubious, and she tilted her head innocently.
“What do you mean?”
“You know what I mean.” I said briefly, and she tilted her head. Sighing loudly I turned towards her and gently pushed her away. “So, why are you so clingy?” I asked her.
“Because I missed my dear master?” She said in a playful smile. I sighed loudly, thinking that I shouldn’t get used to humouring her, but then…
I ended up sighing before starting to pet her. Even if we used our cellphones to make sure she kept up with our talks and so on, she probably felt a bit lonely being the only one not to be able to sit around the table and talking with the others.
She widened her eyes in surprise for some moment before starting to hum in pleasure.
“We’ll hang out in game later to make up for it, okay?” I told her, and she nodded happily. After some time I turned to the window-ball in my hand and sighed. Noticing it, she blinked and turned to me in worry, but once she saw me de-crumpling it she calmed down. Then I rolled it around and whacked her head with it. “That’s for giving away my nervousness at the airport.” I said with a vein popping in my head.
She looked up to me with her hand still holding her throbbing head, making a hurt expression. She smiled and started giggling while nodding.
Finally, she nodded as the world was consumed in a flash of light. When the flash died down, I found myself where I last left.
Taking a quick look around, I was in the city, right in front of Olaf’s mansion. A quick look around and I see Aura waking up with a yawn before turning up to me and wagging her tail twice. I petted her lightly as I felt as something light landed on my shoulder. I turned my head and saw as Cyg landed right on my shoulder, sitting there while letting her legs dangle happily.
“Well, now all we have to do is find Lieutenant and Rio…” As I started to say it, a window popped in my vision.
While using your teachings, a beast defeated its enemies, thus granting you the title:
Monster Trainer
You can only have one title equipped at a time.
Since you have a title equipped, you will need to go to a cathedral to change your titleMonster Trainer: Increases your chance of teaching a brand new skill to any animal/monster, and allows you to teach wild untamed monsters/animals. NPCs specialized in hunting beasts you taught will naturally have aversion against you.
I blinked surprised while staring at the words before finally bursting into a wild laughter as the info finally sunk in its meaning. I’m so changing my title to this one as soon as I get into Eldor!
The other pedestrians stared at me as if they were looking at madman. Looking at me confused, I ignored them as I headed towards the point in the map that marked both Lieutenant and Rio, who, by the looks of it, spent their time together.
As we made our way towards the two of them, I turned to Crys who was sitting on my shoulder cheerfully.
“So, when did it happen?” I asked her while holding back my laughter. She smiled and said.
“Yesterday, while you were walking to the airport.” She said with a happy tone. “A player tried to attack her after finding out her real form… Actually, go find Rio and you should see something interesting.” She said while pointing us in a certain direction.
I blinked surprised before nodding and quickly dashing my way towards the two dots on my mini-map. Luckily, they were fairly close, so I quickly reached them. Or at least what I guessed that was them.
There was a large commotion occurring by the exit of the village, with many NPCs and players gathered around a place as if staring a fight. From outside I noticed a player mounting a large war-horse as he made his way towards another side, from there I could see a small white wyvern flying happily from one side to the other.
I blinked surprised and squeezed my way to the front, where I saw what was happening.
“Show your true-self, you filthy dragon!” The player shouted furiously while branding his sword, said dragon looked like a woman with beautiful dull green hair and claw-like hands that linked to her alluring body through a leathery webbing.
“Another one?” Rathian asked, now her name-plate having her true name instead of just a generic monster name. Level and life was still a mystery, though. “Why can’t you chosen be like that other one? He was so much more interesting.” She complained.
“Shut your mouth, you wench-wannabe!” The knight said while jumping out from his horse and landing on the ground. “I have no idea how you are hiding your level from me, but the fact that you are here proves that you aren’t as strong as you claim! And I, Sir Swordsalot, the fourth strongest player in the whole of Insania, owner of two Wargon-quality excellent items shall vanquish you!”
“Wargon?” Rathian said while frowning. “You taint the stone-born’s name wearing his craft.” Rathian said with a sigh. “Very well, I shall answer your request then.” Rathian said before turning to the crowd around her. “If you would, can you please give me some space?” She asked the spectators, who all blinked before opening some space for the dragon.
Once there was enough space, Rathian thanked them briefly, before quickly closing her eyes and focusing.
Her body started to shine strongly as she undid her transformation. Making my way out of the crowd, I quickly reached Sir Swordsalot, and put my hand in his shoulder. He leaped surprised while taking out his sword from the scabbard, ready to attack me, but once he saw me, he became surprised.
“Here, you are going to need it.” I said giving him a potion before making my way towards Rathian while humming a happy tune.
The crowd looked at me in shock as I stood besides Rathian just as she undid her transformation, taking on the wyvern form that made all the spectators gulp their mouths in surprise and the foolish knight almost drop his shield in fear.
Seeing me, Lieutenant, who had been going around with a hat collecting tips for the show saw me and quickly ran towards me, while Rio landed on my head.
“Hi Mister!” She greeted me cheerfully.
“Hey Rio! How are you?” I asked the young wyvern.
“I’m fine! Soldier cat has been teaching me a lot of things!” She said happily. “And mommy has been getting even stronger! And she started planting too!”
“Heh… I see.” I said before turning to the larger wyvern, who took notice of me. “Yo Rathian! It’s good to see you again!” I said while raising my hand. “No need to take it easy on him. He’ll revive anyway!”
“That was my intention, Stone-born.” She told me before turning to the man. “Shall we start?” She asked him.
Sir Swordsalot nodded a bit weakly before finally taking a deep breath and readying himself, probably going by the logic that Rathian was weak he somehow managed to calm himself.
Rathian snorted at his determination, but kept quiet to let man have the first move. He took the first step forward and raised his sword. A pillar of light fell on it, covering it in a holy looking aura that shone brightly.
“HOLY CLEAVER!” He shouted his skill out as he jumped towards Rathian, bringing his sword down on her head with furious strength.
The sword shone brightly as slices of light followed its path, landing on Rathian’s one after the other with furious strength.
Rathian was unfazed by it.
“My turn.”
She simply took a step back making the man look at her confused, and before he could even react, she quickly took a step forward, leaning her body backwards and flapping her wings strongly, the wind pressure pushing the armored horse away and making the spectators fall backwards.
Following the inertia of her body, her tail dragged on the poorly paved ground, opening a gash on the ground and ripping the road apart before landing on the guy’s body. Far too surprised to reach, the tail hit him in the body in an upward motion, launching him high up in the air. Completing her backflip, the wyvern quickly adjusted her flight by beating her wings as soon as her body was once again horizontal to the ground.
As the man’s body started to fall down, his health pretty much empty by now, Rathian turned her head to his body and recoiled her neck as fire gathered upon her mouth. As soon as he came down to her eye level, she let out a massive fireball, that exploded instantly, flinging his feeble body through the horizon.
“Damn, he will take some time to reach his body!” I said as I saw his body fly in a straight line through the air.
“Am I worthy of the name Rathian now?” She asked me as she landed back on the ground.
“That was beautiful!” I said while clapping my hands, which led to the other spectators to soon follow me. “You are more than worthy after that!”
“I try to please.” Rathian said with a smirk before suddenly looking lonely. “I take it you are going to take my daughter now?” She asked me, and I smiled a bit apologetic.
“I’ll take care of her. No need to worry.” I told her while gently petting Rio in my head.
“… I’ll be counting on you.” She said after some time. Turning to towards Rio, she grunted a few words in their dragon speech, probably some kind of goodbye. “We’ll be going to Eldor for now, from there we should meet some friends before starting our travel.” I explained her, and she nodded.
“I’ll be counting on you, Stone-born.” Rathian told me one last time before I nodded.
After finishing our talk, Rathian turned back into her humanoid form and quickly apologized for the damage she caused. The NPCs, as if used to this quickly nodded and said it wasn’t a problem while the players looked shocked.
When they opened passage as I approached, I felt like a badass walking through the crowd, feeling as they stared at me in wonder. As soon as I got out from the city, I turned to my companions and said.
“We’ll have to rush a bit towards Eldor, as I don’t have much time, okay?” I told them. Aura nodded briefly before turning to Lieutenant, who quickly climbed on her back, as if mounting her. Crys quickly disassembled her body and reformed it into the shape of what looked like to be a bird, using the legs and arms to form the wings and the hair-shards into the wing’s feathers. “You should be able to keep up with us fine, right Rio?” I asked her and she nodded, although looking a bit confused.
Seeing that all of us were ready, Aura and I quickly activated nature walking and made our way towards the mountain city, Crys and Rio easily keeping up with us as they flew.
