Author’s corner: HELLO HELLO! X-over, Gon version!

ANYWAY, so, it took some time, but here is the Wargon’s side of the cross over. I did it since I didn’t have enough time to write a normal one, and even then it’s getting on this late! It’s more than enough time for me to go to sleep already…

ALSO, I took some liberty to change a few of the words to fit better the story (or because I’m too lazy to copy it perfectly…)

ALSO(2), I SHOULD have something else to say, but I just can’t focus enough to remember… normal chapter tomorrow, probably...

ALSO(3), as some of you may notice, i will have to divide it in two parts since i couldn't compact it anymore without feeling bothered by it...

“So, how about getting some lunch?” I asked the group right as we left city. The girls looked like they liked the idea, and nodded cheerfully, while Yagver’s group simply shrugged.

I left them to raise camp behind us while Aura and me went around to gather some wood to light up the camp-fire. As we had just gathered enough to make a decent cooking fire, Aura suddenly stopped and looked back on the direction we came for.

Rather, Cygnas did that as she had taken control of Aura’s body suddenly.

I looked at the diminutive goddess besides me and raised an eyebrow. It took her a moment, but after some time she finally noticed me and frowned slightly.

“Sorry… It’s just that… I felt something strange right now…” She said looking confused. “Some sort of… Unprocessed data?” She tilted her head clearly confused.

“So, you feel a disturbance in the force…” I said in my best serious tone, which earned-me a face-paw together with an awkward smile. “So… Should I be worried?” I asked a bit more seriously and she shook her head.

“No, I don’t think so. It doesn’t seem to be all that serious, and my main body is already investigating it.” She told me calmly.

Well, if it’s nothing to worry about, then let us not worry about it! Well, even if it was something to worry about and still have nothing that I could do, then I would probably not worry too… But that is off the point, right?

Leaving all that aside, Cyg changed back to Aura and we walked back to the camp, where we quickly set up the cooking pit and sat around as we left the Freezing-tail do her work. Meanwhile I sat back and patiently waited for the food to get ready.

AAAAH! THREE MINUTES WITHOUT ANYTHING HAPPENING!  I’M GOING TO DIE OF BOREDOM HERE!

I started to flail around on the ground as boredom consumed me. Hanbei simply ignored me while Yuu raised an eyebrow, both probably used to being close to me, but Yagver’s group looked a bit more worried.

Laying my back against the fluffy grassy plain, I stared at the sky in defeat and let my mind start to wander. Why don’t anything happen right now for reasons? Like a meteor falling among us and revealing an alien race…

Wait, this is a fantasy game, let’s try that again…

Why don’t… I don’t know, a mysterious guy just appear here, becomes shocked at Aura cooking and reveals himself accidentally? But there is no way that would happen. Simply impossible.

And if my anime knowledge don’t fail me, exactly because I thought it wouldn’t happen, it will happen now!

“A FOX IS COOKING?”

BOW BEFORE ANIME KNOWLEDGE!

“Who’s there?” I asked while lifting myself from the ground feeling a bit excited.

Wait, I said that he was mysterious, but is he the good mysterious, or the bad mysterious? Better be wary just for safety.

When I looked towards the place where the voice came, I saw a guy with wearing a dark black armor and with a black sword in his waist. He had white hair and red eyes, kind of reminding me of the vampires, but somehow he just didn’t give me that noble feeling that vampires had, so maybe he’s something else made to look like a vampire?

Tricky little bastard…

“Sorry, it’s just that I was surprised.” He said while approaching us.

“Not the first time I heard that…” I said while shrugging before looking around in search for an ambush or something like that. “So… Are you alone?” I asked just to be sure as I saw some movement on the bushes behind him.

“If you mean as the only human here? Then yes.”

As he said that, he stepped aside, showing a whole horde of critters walking behind him, led by a rabbit with a horn on its head.

What is this? Does he also have nature attuned? I thought while looking at the critters. It seems that I wasn’t the only one surprised by the sight, as Han-chan jumped from behind me looking at the animals with curiosity.

“Waaah! So many animals! Did you tame all of them?” She asked surprised.

“He… Kind of reminds me of those night parades from animes!” I said while looking at all the mobs appearing from the bushes.

The guy made a shocked face while looking at me.

“You can read my mind right!? You can right!?” He said shocked, leaving me confused for a moment. OH! So he also thought the same thing? He sighed slightly before going on. “No, no. I didn’t tame them all. Only the little girl here.”

As he said that, he picked up the horned rabbit and started petting its fur, but still… I don’t think I’ve seen something like that before. I mean, I did murde*cough*see a few rabbits, but I don’t think any of them had a horn like that.

“Hey, have any of you guys seen this monster before?” I asked the others and they all shook their heads.

Still, for that guy to have such a cute pet, it’s pretty much a given that he can’t be evil, so I relaxed a bit.

“Anyway, I never would have thought that a cosplaying fox could cook…” He said while looking at Aura who was still at the pot cutting the ingredients. Then he turned towards the rabbit and asked. “How about you, Vil?” But the rabbit shook its head while squeaking cutely. The guy made a slight frown as he started to think something before finally saying. “Umm… Is it possible to join you guys? I don’t have money with me, but…”

“Sure, I don’t think one more would be problematic…” I took a quick glance at Aura who nodded. “BUUUT!” I said turning to him making a dramatic pose. “You have to let me pet the rabbit!”

“Us.” Han-chan said besides me.

“You have to let us pet the rabbit!” I think I might be getting a bit too addicted to petting fluffy things…

What? Why I accepted his invitation? BECAUSE I SMELL INTERESTING THINGS! And I’m bored, of course. That is probably the main reason to be fair.

“Deal!” He said. The Rabbit squeaked surprised and looked at him almost panicky. “Sorry, I promise I’ll treat you later…” He said to the rabbit to soothe it. “And it can’t be as bad as Eu, so there is no need to worry.” The rabbit squeaked inquisitively, and he nodded. “Yes, yes, I promise.”

I have no idea who this Eu guy is, but he sure missed an excellent chance to pet this rabbit.

I picked up the rabbit who looked at me worriedly. I couldn’t help but smile a bit mischievously, making it shiver slightly. Now you are all mine, you poor, poor critter! As I walked back to the camp fire, I started to smile as I petted the rabbits head. WAAH, SO FLUFFY!

As I happily petted it, I suddenly felt two sharp, stabby and cold thing piercing each of my feet. I turned teary eyed to both Yuu and Aura who were making sullen faces. What? It’s not like there will be less petting for you guys!

When I turned back to the guy he was smiling mischievously at me.

Aura barked warning us that the food was done and started serving us. Meanwhile I started to introduce our group to mysterious person number 1.

“Okay, so I am Gondorrer Rabbitpett…” Whoops. “Gondorrer Gravelheart, Aka Wargon.” I turned to Aura. “The Ronin cook over there is called Aura, and the Antenna trick-cat over there is called Lieutenant Colonel Whiskers McBallofur Maximilliamus the Third! Both are my pets.” I introduced the two to him, and Lieutenant made a salute.

The newcomer looked a bit shocked towards me and Lieutenant, and became surprised at his salute.

“The Kitsune over there is Tatenaka Yuuki, and the cat girl is Tatenaka Hanbei, Or Yuu and Han-chan, respectively!”

“It is a pleasure to meet you.” Yuu said while bowing slightly, leaving him smiling awkwardly. Han-chan, on the other hand, was a bit more… Direct.

“Hi! I’m the next to pet the bunny!” Straight to the point, as always…

The guy blinked surprised and stared at her for a moment, before pointing at her and saying.

“No wonder you look familiar! And she is supposed to be sickly! You don’t look like that at all!” He said angrily. So I’m not the only one who got it, huh?

Instead of getting angry, Hanbei smiled widely and jumped excited.

“Are you following the novel? What was the last part you read?” She asked excitedly, making him blink surprised and answer almost automatically.

“Well… To the point where Hanbei is sickly, if I remember correctly… I’m not sure what happens afterwards.” Ha-hah! I’m ahead of him! Only a slightly, though.

“Oh, You know, the truth is…” Hanbei started to rant about the story, but the guy shouted surprised and jumped at her, covering her mouth with his hands.

“Waaah! No Spoilers!” He said in a panicky voice. I saw Han-chan’s eyes shine with a mischievous grinf for a moment, but decided to keep quiet. He calmed himself when he noticed that Hanbei wasn’t going to spoil the story anymore. “So… Who’s next?” He said looking at me.

I pointed towards Yagver’s group and introduced them.

“The Jöntunn tank is Sir Yagver, The tiger is Xredder, the Harpy is L3nny and the Treant over there is Forgotten.”

He looked a bit surprised at the group, mainly at Yagver and Lenny, but didn’t comment anything.

“Well, I guess it’s my time now?” He said while scratching his head slightly. “The name is Lucas, and as you can see, I’m a human, and the girl you are petting is Vil, she’s a Dorville.”

“Yeah… You are perfectly normal…” Except that you look awfully like a vampire, but let’s not comment on that, I don’t want to break his delusions. “But I don’t think I’ve heard of a monster called Dorville before…” I said while looking back at the bunny who had kind of given up on his chances of leaving the petting session.

“So, is Lucas-dono traveling alone?” Yuu asked a bit intrigued by him, he winced slightly at this, but answered anyway

“What’s with that –dono thing. No need to be so formal about it. Just Lucas is fine. And yes, I am with Vil but besides her, no one else.” He answered a bit awkwardly.

“I see… So, what are you doing here? We are going to a new dungeon ourselves.” I told him in a friendly tone to try to get something interesting out of him.

I mean, he is the mysterious guy who appeared when I said that there wouldn’t be a mysterious guy, which makes him extra mysterious, so he must be up to something mysterious. Which makes him extra interesting! Infallible logic at work here!

He stopped to think for a moment, but shrugged and said it anyway.

“I’m off to find a lvl 90 golem boss, do you have any idea where he is?”

The guy suddenly blinked surprised and sighed slightly, as if he had just said something that he shouldn’t, but simple shrugged it out as he

Hanbei barely managed to recover herself from the shock a moment before me, as she shouted at him.

“WAIT, LEVEL 90? ARE YOU CRAZY?” She shouted surprised. “Not even the mad golem over there would take something on that level!” She stopped for a moment and made a slight grimace. “Yet, at least…”

“Who’s a mad golem?” I shouted angrily at her. But yeah, I wouldn’t take a level 90 enemy yet…

I think…

Maybe…?

I mean… It sounds kind of tempting…

“Ah, it’s fine. I doubt they would even give me a real challenge.” He said in a smug tone. Ooh, though guy, are we? I reaaaaly want to see him fighting right now. He suddenly widened his eyes as he had an idea and smiled mischievously. “I know, as a payment, why don’t you follow me on my quest? I promise that you will be in for a treat!”

Just what I needed!

“DEAL!” I said happily before someone else tried to refuse the offer.

Hanbei blinked surprised and looked at me.

“Are you sure Gon? I mean, we could get killed if even one attack came at our direction!”

“It’s only half a level!” I said while shrugging. For us is only a couple of hours of grind. “And even then, how long will it take to see another level 90 boss?” I said trying to sound serious, but inside I was squealing like a little girl.

She simply sighed and nodded.

So, this is how we followed mister mysterious guy Lucas into seeing my first level 90 monster!
