Chapter 79- Dripping Wet

Chapter 79- Dripping Wet

He lead me outside the forest, into a small village, the houses were built with thatched wood that made it seem like we were still in medieval times. The children played around the village, wacking each other with wooden sticks and their powers. The villagers looked happy unlike the monotonous cities.

Most of them used their powers in harmony with their lives, like using fire abilities to be used for cooking. Or water manipulation for pulling water from the ground.

They spoke in a language I didn’t understand but some of them spoke a little bit of English.

“Welcum bak mihster Heracles”.

Heracles carried three large buckets on him, two on his shoulders and one on his head, he put the buckets down onto the floor.

Water slightly leaking from them, Heracles bent down and patted one of the children’s heads, his massive hands making the children seem like a tennis ball.

“Welcuhm strhanger, my name is Shin”.

One of the villagers gave out his hand to me.

“Thank you”.

He smiled at me, his smile like sunshine and flowers.

Was everyone in this village like this?

“Yuor welcum, my naem ies Shin”.

Well his English wasn’t very good, but his words were still full of so much life, everyone in the city was so sad and bored about everything that the mood was souring on me.

The children surrounded me, curiosity filled their large eyes. They ran around me and ask me questions even if I had no clue what they were talking about.

The village was filled with people living in harmony, the young helped the old and the old raised the young.

Instead of a system, this was more like a way of life.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The less people had, the more happy they were appreciating the little they have.

If only I had things I could appreciate.

Who am I kidding, I have people all around me, but who knows what would happen if I lost my value.

Even Lucy, I bet she was just using me, geez who knows what would’ve happened if I actually fell for her.

My vision started to blur as my cheeks became wet, there was a strong feeling in my chest, my heart sank as tears began to stream from my eyes.

“Am I sad”?

I touched the tears that laid on my cheeks

“Arr yu okay”??

The man looked at me with worry.

“Don’t worry I’m fine, thanks again”.

I was lead to one of the huts, there wasn’t really a bed or a table, we were meant to sit on the floor and eat on the floor and sleep on the floor.

Heracles had given me his phone, the first person I called was Athena, after all she needed me.

Only one sentence was needed for her to come pick me up.

“I found Heracles”.

Athena didn’t want any sort of war to occur, her personality seemed to contradict her title. She planned to get all the gods together to trap them in Tartarus, but Heracles is the type of person to listen to you, the rest of the gods aren’t.

“Hey Neila, want to come with us for dinner”?

“Sure, I have some time”.

Since I had the most free time in the world, I sat down on the ground repeatedly stopping and resuming time until i ran out of breath. The maximum I managed to do was 5 times in a row with a 3 second delay for each.

I sat together with the entire village in one large table as we began to eat together, it was just rice and some sort of meat and vegetables, what interested me was that they ate with their hands.

They more or less sat there, ate and laughed with each other like close friends, it seemed like the entire village was close with one another.

We immediately all slept after that, the moment I woke up, tears fell from my eyes. Everyone was dead, only Heracles stood, holding back his tears.

Blood scattered the thatched houses, the once playful children, now a pool of blood.

The red liquid touched my feet, it was warm, some of the bodies had horns from their heads, it was an invasion.

“………..”

I couldn’t say a single word

“It was the demons, they raided us last night, there were so many even I couldn’t stop them all”.

Heracles looked to the floor, ashamed of himself.

My breathing and heart rate became erratic.

“Why couldn’t I stop it”?

“I could’ve definitely stopped it”.

“I stopped it within my head, so it means they’ll come back right”?

“Right”?
