Neila went to school alone as usual, yet everything felt so empty.
Like a piece of him turned to dust, he sat at his desk, tap tap tapping away at his time.
The clock ticked.
Yuki sat directly in front of him, she had been happily talking to her friend, all Neila could do was just stare.
“Hey Yuki! He’s staring at you again”.
Her friend had whispered to Yuki, barely a whisp of breath.
Yuki immediately turned around, meeting face to face with Neila, his crimson eyes piercing into hers like a pit of fire, burning away at her.
“Ew, why’re you staring at us”?
“Your aunt told me to protect you, I’m not going to get you in danger”.
“I don’t need you defending me, I can defend myself, you think I’m weak”?
With a pang, shards of glass came flying towards her, a baseball came flying through the window, she barely had any time to react.
“Stop”.
The ball stopped in midair as if no forces of gravity were acting on it, the shards of glass floating.

“You really should back away from that, it doesn’t completely stop its momentum only pauses it”.
Yuki immediately backed away as the ball began to regain its momentum, flying towards the door and slamming into it.
A loud voice came yelling from the school courtyard, he had a white outfit with a large glove.
“Hey! Can you throw it back!? We’re sorry about that”!
“Yea yea”.
He threw the ball back into the baseball court, the ball landed with a clear thud.
Neila looked back at Yuki.
“Told you so”.
“Yea yea thanks mr savior”.
She had sarcastically remarked, she looked up at Neila, she was quite a bit shorter than him barely reaching his shoulder.
“Weren’t you always with Jaclyn? What happened with her”?
Neila looked back at Yuki, his eyes dropped and his voice cracked like an old radio.
“We had a little arguement”.
Yuki stood up from her chair, the sound of screeching filled the class as she walked pass Neila’s chair.
“Neila, come with me”.
She left her friend alone in the class.
Neila and Yuki both walked towards a vending machine as she inserted two coins inside.
“Here”.
She threw him a bottle of cold tea.
“Y’know I don’t really like tea”.
“Shut up and drink”.
Neila’s tastebuds were like that of a child’s, he only like things that were sweet or spicy, he never really drank tea before.
He closed his eyes and drank it, it was really cold to the touch and sweet with a slight sourness to it.
“Neila, you’d better be joking if you don’t like Lemon Tea, it’s so good”.
“I mean, it’s fine I guess”.
Neila leaned on the wall as he watched the sun outside the window.
“I’m sorry for calling you a mass murderer, its just that it was my first time seeing actual blood and you kind of went crazy back there”.
“Nah it was fine”.
Neila saw something out of the window, a familiar face.
“Yuki, I’m skipping class, I have something important to do”.
“Hey Neila”!
He jumped out of the window and landed on his feet completely fine even from a two story building.
The man leaned against the school gate.
“Anastasia asked me to come get you”.
