Chapter 71- River Nyx

Chapter 71- River Nyx

“I really didn’t want to use this on a student”.

A golden lance appeared in his hands

“Deborah, go ahead”.

He threw the lance up into the air as it flew towards us at the speeds of a jet

It straight up entered my brain, I couldn’t make up a single thought as it bursted my brain apart.

“Shit, I accidentally killed him”.

This familiar feeling of death, emptiness and void.

There was a river in front of me with a person sailing a wooden boat, they had a cloak on them.

“Hello lost soul, I see you have achieved many things within your short life, come with me and sail across the river Nyx”.

He gave out his hand waiting for me to accept

“The river Nyx? Am I really dead”?

During the school holiday after the fight with Hestia, I went to the library researching more about Greek Mythology, I guess its futile now since I was dead

I have my hand to him, as he pulled me into the boat, there was a fog surrounding us as he sailed towards something in the distance

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

There was an eerie silence between us

“My life wasn’t really worth anything was it”?

The sailor spoke

“You do not know how many humans you have saved, your sacrifice was a noble one yet your death wasn’t”.

There are so many people better than me yet why did I get this, I don’t deserve anything I get, no matter how many lives I save, it won’t make me more valuable, no matter how much I kill, it won’t do anything

“But I really don’t want to die, I want to stay alive”.

“That’s what I wanted to hear”.

It was a shadowy figure, kicking the ferryman off the boat

“Womp womp, don’t you want to stay alive? Then let me have more control over your body”.

He grabbed my face, it fet like he sucked the soul out of me, my entire body shriveled up.

“Neila, you okay”?

Jaclyn snapped her fingers as she woke me back up

“I didn’t know you could revive from the dead, that was a surprise”.

The instructors were completely gone, no where on sight

“Did you already eliminate them”?

She looked straight at me

“What does it look like”.

“I guess we’ll have to wait until time runs out”.

I sat on the hot sandy floor, after a while I got thirsty due to the hot weather, we didn’t have any semblance of water near us

So we waited and waited for the next announcement, we didn’t need to run anymore after all the instructors were gone anyways

3 more hours had passed as the announcement finally came

“75 people remain, teleporting to the next challenge”.

My lips were crusty and dry as I kept sweating, a light engulfed me as it pulled me into the ground

I sat down on the floor of a colosseum, the rough sand turned into a smooth stony surface

There was a person right in front of me

There was a blonde person with a white coat on him, I saw him for a moment and he was just gone

I had stored my scythe under my tongue to completely hide it, the scythe quickly enlarged
