Chapter 143- Requiem’s End

Chapter 143- Requiem’s End

The attack connected, but instead of shattering, Musashi’s body dissolved into a pool of blood.

“What the?!” Aaron staggered back as the blood shot up, encasing him in a crimson cocoon.

Musashi reformed a few feet away, his tired eyes locking onto Aaron. “Guess you didn’t manage to tire me out did you”?

The cocoon tightened around Aaron, spikes of blood piercing his arms and legs, locking him in place. Despite his struggles, Aaron couldn’t break free.

“You fucking meatbag”. Musashi said, walking toward him slowly. “But you don’t understand what you’re dealing with. This isn’t just a fight for me—it’s survival. And in survival, I don’t lose.”

Aaron bared his teeth, his body trembling as his aura began to flare again. “Don’t think you’ve won! I’ll—”

Musashi snapped his fingers, and the blood cocoon compressed further, cutting off Aaron’s words as blood began to pour from his wounds.

“Be quiet,” Musashi said coldly.

Aaron’s heartbeat faltered, then stopped. The dark knights disintegrated, their forms collapsing into shadows as the crimson realm began to fade.

The requiem ended, leaving only silence and a graveyard littered with blood and shattered weapons.

Musashi stood over Aaron’s collapsed form, blood pooling around them both. “If you want Shinji dead,” he said softly, “you’ll have to be alive to help me. So don’t die just yet, Aaron.”

Aaron’s crimson eyes flickered weakly as he let out a hoarse laugh. “Fine, I’ll join you but I’m killing you once I’ve killed him.”

Musashi smirked. “Why’d you even want to kill him, isn’t he one of you”?

“Don’t you know what he’s planning? He wants to unseal every single God Of Olympus to take Lord Erebus down to take over his position”.

“You know where he is”?

“No”.

The ultimate ability completely faded away, Yuki stood there disheveled and tired, she was completely astonished that the Demon wasn’t even fighting anymore.

“He’s with us now, he said he wants to take Shinji down too”.

“Are you serious? Him? Fine, Anastasia even invited Apollo or whatever his name was, I’m not even phased anymore”.

Yuki sighed.

“We’re only having this truce until I kill him with my bare hands”.

“I’m making sure you remember that”.

Asami was on the other side of the Demon King’s territory, together with her sister, Sayori Ito who had the power to Search a specific area and sees schematics of the object or place within her head.

Her second ability was to lock onto any object or foe and always hit the enemy no matter what.

Her third ability was to see how much durability her foe or object had before being completely put down.

Together they were with an angel of light, a summon floating right behind him, Aoi Hakai, the number 7 ranked adventurer and the most consistent damage dealer out of their party.

Asami’s hawks caught something, humanoid creatures engaging in a fight either each other.

“I hope they know something about his location”.

The three of them sprinted to the scene, their breaths uneven from the urgency. As they arrived, the stench of blood overwhelmed their senses, the bodies of fallen villagers sprawled across the ground like discarded puppets. In the center of the carnage stood a hulking figure. He was unnaturally large, dressed in black armor that seemed to absorb the surrounding light.

Blood dripped from his mouth, pooling on the ground. His glowing red eyes locked onto the trio, and the air grew heavy under his gaze. His skin was an unnatural mix of crimson and indigo, with jagged horns curving from his temples.

“You’re with him too, aren’t you?” His voice was low, guttural, and filled with disdain.

Before any of them could respond, he disappeared from sight, reappearing directly in front of Sayori. She froze as his fist rocketed toward her face.
