Chapter 180- Hourglass

Chapter 180- Hourglass

Hundreds of adventurers gathered right in front of the adventurer’s association building, the large building reached for the skies. Every single adventurer had powers of A class or above, including S classes from throughout Asia.

Shinji sat down at the training grounds of the association, Asami was right behind him, staring down.

His long black hair covered his face as he placed his glasses on the table.

“Maybe it’s time to get a haircut, Asami do you know how to cut hair”?

“Shinji don’t ask anything of me, why did you call so many adventurers? You know they’ll barely do anything”.

Shinji smiled.

“Trust me will you”?

His entire head exploded, bursting like a blood balloon, his body dropped to the floor as a person stood behind him, his hand extended outwards in a pointing motion.

“Speak a proper language will ya? You’re fucking pissing me off”.

His hair was pure white as his eyes glowed a deep green, his body was quite well built as he wore a baggy hoodie that couldn’t even manage to hide his body.

The number one hero in China, Zhao Haotian. A power with an unknown rank, telekinesis, telepathy and hypnosis.

Asami stared at his decapitated body calmly as Shinji regenerated himself, his head began to reconstruct.

Shinji smiled as he stared at the man standing in front of him.

Perfect translation was one of Shinji’s powers which allowed him to communicate with anyone no matter what they were saying.

“Are you asking for a fight? If you are then prepare to get beat up”.

Asami came in between them, creating distance with her arms as she stared at the both of them.

“Stop fighting, the two of you, we’re here to fight an enemy not fight among each other”.

“Come on Asami, he’s just asking for it, I can’t turn him down can I”?

Asami gritted her teeth.

“Come on, just stay still for a second, there are other people here”.

Shinji looked around.

“They’re all S ranks, what’s the problem”?

“Come on, what’s so wrong with a little duel”?

Kronos came in the training grounds, with a young man with long golden hair and bright blue hair behind him.

Kronos’s large build and intimidating new body made everyone else within the area more nervous and uncomfortable.

“You’re so dull and boring, you’re ruining all the excitement”.

Asami calmly stared at the God of Time right in his godly blue eyes, seeming unfazed as she sighed, her hand was slightly shaking but she stood there.

“Stop encouraging them”.

“What are you going to do about it little girl”?

He stared down with a glint in his eyes and confidence filling his face.

“Who even are you, I’ve never even seen you before”?

Her voice was rough and coarse like she hadn’t drank water in days. Her skin was dry and tan like she had been in the sun for years, her hazel eyes were like the stars, detail in every inch.

The second highest ranked adventurer in China, Ying Xin, a distant cousin of Ning Xin. She was pretty, beautiful enough to even rival the gods in their purest forms.

Kronos stared down at the woman.

“Well fine damsel, I am the God of Time”.

Her eyes lit up like a star.

“Really? I heard so much about you”! She got even closer to his face. “Can I have a selfie”?

“Sure of course you can”.

Kronos smiled.

She immediately got close and snapped a picture.

“Oh my god”!

Kronos stared at Asami

“Oh and by the way, I can feel the Gods presences getting closer”.

The ground began to shake rapidly as the glass around them began to crack and shatter suddenly, the skies began to rain down with thunderstorms and lightning crackling in the clouds.

Kronos calmly stared at the sky as he smiled.

“Apollo stay here, I have some business to attend to”.

“Yes~ sir”. His voice was shaky as each strand of his long golden hair shook with every word.

A man stood in the middle of the thunderstorm, each bolt of lightning piercing into the nearby building as the inhabitants began to scream.

“Help me! Please! They’re all so annoying”.

His tone was deep, the peak of masculinity, his body was toned to perfection and his face was beautiful.

His eyes glowed a baby blue, his short golden hair was completely dry in the pouring rain.

He began to float above the ground, levitating up into the thundering skies.

“Well hello there”.

Kronos smiled as he looked up at Zeus.

“How ironic? Fighting your enemy who’s using your previous host”.

“Kronos, stop talking before I rip your spine out of your body”. His voice was full of malice and his eyes were filled to the brim with anger.

“Ooh, how scary”? Kronos started giggle. “Let’s have a rematch shall we”?

“I’m here for Erebus not you, so why can’t we just work together”?

Kronos smiled. “Come on, you really think I need you”?

Zeus’ eyes lit up with fury as the thunderstorms began to get worse, the rain got harder and the winds blew faster.

His eyes lit up with glowing blue as his hands crackled with electricity, the sky began to get darker as it seemed this was the signal of the apocalypse.

He gripped onto his lightning bolt as he fired it off towards Kronos, time began to rapidly slow as the bolt of lightning stopped right before it hit him.

His hand slipped into his pocket as he smiled, his other hand pointed towards Zeus.

The air around the God of Lightning froze, the particles in the gas began to stop, freezing into a solid block of nitrogen, a clear and ice like structure completely incased Zeus.

“Stop playing with me Kronos”!

The nitrogen shattered as electricity crackled from Zeus’s hands with a yellow glow.

The clouds began to group up into a larger cloud, an enormous bolt of lightning came down directly onto Kronos yet it stopped once again.

Kronos smiled.

“I’m a primordial God now, you really think you can beat me”?!

“Come to your senses Kronos”!

“Nah, I like the thrill of battle”. He said so enthusiastically. “So come on, try a little harder will you”?

Zeus bursted towards Kronos at unfathomable speeds, launching a punch towards him. His hands were encased with a red gauntlet, adorned with jewels as it pierced right through Kronos’s time barrier.

The God of Time’s eyes lit up in shock, the only God to ever pierce through it was Erebus after all, the fist had connected with his face, he was flung through multiple buildings, just that single punch caused a large percentage of the entire city to go to ruin, large craters scattered the field, as Kronos sat bloodied on a mountain of rock, his jaw was hanging down by a single thread, his hands had bones sticking out of it as blood ran down his leg.

Zeus stood right in front of him, with his gauntlets incasing his hands.

“Hephaestus made these for me, what’d you think? It overwrites any ability it comes in contact with to whatever I want it to be”.

Kronos’s laugh began to echo throughout the broken down building, the large echoing ringing in Zeus’s ears. His body began to revert back to when it was complete, it seemed as if nothing had ever happened to him.

“Nice toy but you can’t do anything to me, Zeus you’re weak, no matter how many toys you bring you can’t do a single thing”.

Time stopped completely, the world around Kronos was frozen.

As he walked up to Zeus, an hourglass manifested within his hand.

“How I’ve missed you my dear friend”. He stared at his hourglass as the sand inside began to fall. “But your greatest asset will not be needed here, what I wish of you is to summon something weaker”.

The hourglass glowed with a bright light, forming a forward curving blade with a large hand guard, an old Greek weapon known as the Kopis.

The specific weapon Kronos was holding was the strongest incarnation of that weapon, Diavolo, a weapon that can bring down the gods.

“Let the show commence”!

He pointed the weapon towards the heavens as the air around the weapon rippled, the winds got harsher as a tornado began to swirl around the weapon. The dark sky now cleared above Kronos as the sunlight rained down onto Zeus like lasers piercing straight into him.

The winds started to harsher, slicing into Zeus’s skin like sharp knives as he stood there frozen.

The ground began to shake as cracks formed, shards of rock extruded from the ground piercing into Zeus.

Whatever the user touches, they can amplify to harm the opponent, even the air itself or the deep sea can be manipulated by the single weapon alone.

Kronos grabbed Zeus by the head as the God of Lightning began to regress and eventually fade from existence.
