Curious things tend to happen in areas where massacres occur, and they can be very interesting. The most common occurrence, as most people would think, is the creation of a field of undead. If the bodies are not taken care of quickly, they will quickly attune the ambient mana to death and start to rise again. This phenomenon is also the easiest to deal with. The second most common occurrence would be what happens around the sites of Godly Interference, the lingering holy mana stops the undead from rising, but is also too strong to let any but the most pious live there for long without seriously suffering. The final occurrence which I am going to mention is a much more curious one. It tends to happen when people are killed for great rituals or too much of their blood seeps into the ground. It will help attune the ambient mana to the blood property, making entire ecosystems that thrive on blood instead of water.

Up and up I went, getting way higher than I could before. Only to come nowhere near the height I needed to reach. At all. I mean, let me make a comparison. If my goal was to fly to the top of a tree, I probably just made it past the roots that aren’t quite in the ground for whatever reason. Alright, but I have an idea, and based on the the description I got from pray, it might just work. OH MAGNIFICENT AND GREAT MOSQUITO GOD! Alright, but that doesn’t really he-

A huge gust of wind shot up at me from below and sent me tumbling through the air. Up I went, tossed around like a mosquito in the wind, literally. It was horrible. It was hard, moist, and oddly red. And completely stopped my momentum, mostly. I went through it first. Feeling gravity about to take its hold over me again, I did the most obvious thing. I flapped my wings, hard and fast, and in thirty seconds I was upright again! And right there below me was an inconspicuous looking cloud… and my cult member? WHAT THE HELL WAS HE DOING HERE!?!?! HUH!?!?! Oh, wait… I guess it was a strong gust of air, and he was right next to me… Alright! Journey with a friend! Perhaps we can eat clouds together!

So, I flew down to the cloud’s level, and went right into it. And there was a small problem. How do you eat damp air? I basically have a straw attached to me and that’s it. This is not very conducive to drinking… How does one eat a cloud? Hmmm…. What a conundrum… This was totally a waste of time, wasn’t it? I prayed to get sent flying up here, only to be unable to do a thing! IF I HAD A MOUTH AT LEAST I COULD TRY TO BITE IT!!!!! BUT I’M STUCK WITH THIS STUPID SPEAR? WHAT CAN I DO WITH IT?!?! STAB!?!?! HERE I’LL STAB!!! And, of course, I stabbed, a few times, then got a cool new skill.
