So, I tried to leave my new mosquito friend behind, but it wouldn’t leave me alone! It was following me! I guess that’s what it means to lead a cult. Such responsibilities. Wait a second… perhaps… Mosquito friend? Can you lead me to a mate?

My little friend seemed to understand me, and it started moving! Off to the mates we flew! And flew! And flew… AND, a solid hour later! I got a nice little welcome surprise.

Hahaha! It’s been a while since that happened! But where are those mates I’ve been promised? At that, my mosquito friend finally stopped. Below us was what appeared to be a red, bamboo raft on its side. There were cylinders sticking up from the water, all attached to each other who knows how? And it was huge. It spread all around me, probably able to fit 100 of me easily. And I knew what they were. Eggs! WHICH MEANS MATES! Probably… bah, hopefully.

So, I found my camp for the day. It was starting to get late. I mean, not really, but I was tired. I really had no stamina. So, first, a prayer.

I woke up to the water churning around me. Another storm!?!?! I looked skyward, and whew, safe for now. Looking around, I saw that those eggs were thrashing about, violently. Very violently. And then they started bulging, Which I do not think is natural. Right? I’m no mosquito biologist, but that seems weird. And then, it stopped. And they exploded. EXPLODED! WHAT THE HELL!?!?! THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT!

Bright red mosquitoes flew out from them, and started rushing towards me.

I chased after my mosquito brethren. And we set off on a journey of carnage. Well… a journey, just maybe without any carnage. We flew for a solid 2 hours. I got another level in fly; I assume they all got a specialty, I did by then, and then they just stopped.

What happened next was a horror show, and I only have one thing to say about it. I no longer want to find a mate. With that completed, we continued on our journey. And, an hour of mind numbing flying later, something appeared off in the distance, something I had never seen before in my life (my mosquito life). DIRT! I mean, it was a pretty dark red, but DIRT! I was finally free from the lake of blood! Oh merciful Mosquito God, thank you.
