Into the light.

Hello again. Today I am reflecting once more on the idiocy of eating unknown fruits.

Be a dear, and imagine waking up to a terrible itchy feeling all over your body. You scratch and scramble looking for the culprit behind this early morning discomfort but all you find is scraps of fruit. Then you notice how sticky you are. You idiot, you gorged yourself on a strange glowing plant and slept snuggling with the remains of one.

You're covered head to toe in juice, how'd you even manage that?! And it freaking itches!

Its around this point you notice that your skin is bright red. Deciding to go with the never fail action of sending tingles at the problem you try to marshall some tingles together. And fail.

Its not like you can't find them, they're there. It's just that when before you had to herd and push them to do anything. Now the slightest touch sets them off like sugar high children at a birthday party. They run screaming throughout your body. When the tingles encounter the juice of the fruit on your skin your whole body combusts.

So yeah, that was my morning.

At least once the towering inferno dies down you aren't itchy anymore. Just oddly tan.

My body now has a golden tint compared too my former pale skin. I think a few of my scars are gone now too. The biggest problem is that I am having a heck of a time controlling my tingles, hums, and buzzes. Naturally that means that my flames are out of control too.

Oh well. I suppose I'll get used to it as time passes, thankfully I don't have to channel anything to write, the pen does that for me.

Now! The place I woke up in, I shall call it the amphitheatre, is huge and beautiful. I mentioned the murals in yesterdays journal entry. Well now that I am looking closer they are huge, complex, and just plain wonderful!

On one a massive slither encircles and enshrouds the central sun, all the murals have a sun placed dead center, in the upper corners of that same mural are two competing forces. One is dark, hidden, and mysterious. The other bright, open, and radiant.

They seem to be fighting but on closer inspection they are working together to fight the slither around the sun. The dark forces have lots of legs, and the light forces have wings.

Arrayed across the bottom of the mural is a vast variety of different creatures, some are fighting each other. Others kneel and weep at the hidden sun, but in the middle of the mural there is a group, diverse and strange to each other, that is lifting each other up, making a tower to the sun.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

Atop this tower of bodies stand five individuals. A tall man, a short beardy man, a winged lady, a black lion, and in the center stands a beautiful lady with long pointy ears.

These five are poised to attack the slither.

To the left of that mural is another. This one shows the slither, cast down to the ground. Of the five the winged lady and the black lion are gone. The other three stand around the sun, looking down upon the slither and those who lifted them up. The weeping and fighting peoples are gone, smashed beneath the slithers corpse.

The light and dark forces are diminished, and have retreated to the right and left corners respectively. Two great beasts stand out among their number.

From the light steps a tall golden creature with four legs and a long spiralling horn. From the dark comes a oddity, eight black furred legs, four black feathered wings, the body of a cat and the head of a great bird. All in black.

The next mural shows the growth of the three survivors peoples. The tall man has a tower on a plain and is surrounded by kneeling men and ladys. The short beardy man has a throne under a mountain and around him work other short beardys in fire and smoke. The pointy ear lady rests on a tree branch and a few other pointy eared people offer her fruit and amber.

The slithers body is gone and intsead a great river is formed from its innards and a great mountain range from its bones. Twisted bodies similar but different from those its fall crushed rise from the river and mountain and march on the three  lands.

The golden and black beast are fighting each other above the sun. The missing winged woman and black lion are back, but they are different. The winged women has another pair of wings and the black lion is larger and pure white. The two are entwined together just beneath the sun.

The next mural shows great conflict. The three lands are fighting the twisted peoples. The great beasts continue their fight. The winged lady and the lion are the only peaceful place on this one. They have gathered their peoples and settled down in a great jungle. Beasts and winged people frolic beneath the great trees in peace while the other lands fight for survival. The tall men fight with sword and staves that throw lightning. The short beardys fight with axe and shield. The pointy ears fight with bow and spear.

And the last mural shows a great victory. All five peoples are together again. The winged and beast peoples flank a great force of tall men, short beardys, and pointy eared people.

Together they push the twisted people back to the lands they came from and set up a great wall to keep them there. The fight above the sun is over. Both great beasts are wounded and back off to their corner. None of the original five are still around.

I can't adequately describe the sheer beauty and detail these huge colorful murals hold. But I did my best.

After gaping at the pretty pictures I took a wander around the room I am in. There is the tree, the glowing fruits, the murals, and the tomb.

Did I not mention the tomb before?

Well its a massive stone block with the image of the five carved into the sides. Its made of yet more of that shiny white stone from outside. On top is the statue of a four winged beauty lying in restful repose. I may have stumbled into the crypt of a legend.

I look for a way out but the only exits I can see are back the way I came or a hole in the ceiling. Way, way, way up there.

I only noticed it when the sun started to shine through and the tree began to glow.

Resigned to eating more glow fruit for today I snack on a few before lying next to the tree and preparing to sleep.

Maybe I'll think of a way out of here in my dreams.

Goodnight.
