Hello again. Ivers Dream ver. 2 is done.
I wonder if I should rename it? Ivers Dream ver. 2 is kind of lacking as far as names go...
Well, I'll think on it.
Anyway, I finished tingling all the white wood around lunchtime. I figured out that if I touch one and tingle it I can use it to spread tingles to the wood it is touching. So I managed to save a lot of time since I didn't need to personally handle every single piece of wood.
Once it was all red and flame patterned I fused it into a solid chunk. I stretched and twisted the result. Looking for limits and finding none. I can make anything I can imagine out of this. I played with it for a few hours. Making fire red fish and blazing wooden mountains. No limits. Just how I like it!
For now I have molded it into a rather boring galley. Dozens of tinglewood oars protrude directly from the sides of the ship. I decide to call this wood tinglewood by the way. I think its a good name. Lena says it is a dumb name, but she wanted to call it regal maple. What does that even mean? Nonsense words.
Using these oars I attempted to row free of the current. The going was slow and getting all the oars going to the same rythmn was trickier than I thought it would be. We kept spinning in circles until I managed to pound out a tempo on the deck, and synchronize the rise and fall of the oars.
Even then it would have taken hours if I hadn't noticed a neat little trick. I can move my flames through the tinglewood. I noticed this when I sent a pulse of tingles through the tinglewood out of agitation. The whole bottom of the Ivers Dream ver.2 ignited. Sending a blast of steam up around the ship and blinding us.
I was dazed for a second or two, and then I got really excited.
I sent flames rocketing out of the rear of the sleek red galley and the force of their propulsion combined with the burst of steam sent us zooming through the waves. The oars became redundant, only slowing us down so I pulled them in and focused more attention on the ship.
I could feel it. Places where the wood hadn't smoothed properly, where the air was catching on the surface of the Ivers Dream ver. 2 and holding us back from our true top speed.

I tweaked and smoothed, folded and fixed the ship until it was as sleek and fast as I could make it. Then I focused all my efforts on pressing more and more fire into the tinglewood.
We were flying over the surface of the sea. The whole ship was coated in flames and we were leaving screeching steam in our wake. I was ecstatic. Never before had I moved so fast.
We were a firey red splinter stabbing through the deep blue sea.
My heart beat against my ribs as my whole existence demanded ever more speed.
I saw the occasional ship, looking like they were standing still as we blazed past them.
Julius was balanced on the very tip of the ship, ears flapping in the wind, and flames gouting from his fluffy back like a crimson cape. He was screaming with joy.
Lena was at the rear, shaping the steam behind us into fantastical creatures. Here a herd of galloping beasts, there a fleet in full sail, long sea slithers swooping amongst the clouds of our passage.
Sadly. I was eventually exhausted. I lay flat on my back on the deck. Smiling hard enough to hurt my face and laughing like a maniac. That was so much fun. I reformed the oars and we continued our journey at a more stately pace.
I added some flourish to the ship. The wood was already patterned with flame-like images from the wood grain. I accented these lines with texture and depth. Making the red ship look like it was crafted entirely of flames.
The sunlight sent shimmers throughout the red tinglewood. Making the Ivers Dream ver.2 seem to glow and shine.
I could not be happier with this ship. I can change it whenever and however I want. I could taked this on land as a wheeled vehicle. Or form wings from its sides and try to fly. The only limit is my imagination. I could even form it into a giant man and have him carry us around. That would be cool.
It was a few hours after we had slowed down that pirates attacked. How many pirates are there around here anyways?
We were passing leisurely between two small islands when pirate ships hidden behind them came flocking out. They closed the channel between the islands down and were waiting on either side for us.
Naturally, we charged the unlucky ones in front of us.
I was confident that even if the Ivers Dream ver.2 took some damage I could fix it up easily. I needn't have worried. We smashed right through the middle of the largest ship head-on. Fire and burning wood filled the air as we cut right through them. Not so much as a scratch on our vessel.
SO AWESOME!!!
*Sigh* yes, we proceeded to chase and sink each and every pirate ship. Leaving the pirates to swim back to the islands they had ambushed us from.
That was fun. Julius and Lena used the swimmers as target practice. Seeing who could hit the most pirates in a single shot. Lena won, she sent a wave out and dunked a whole batch of them under.
Today passed in a blur. I think we ate?
I am really looking forward to tomorrow.
Goodnight.
