Beans, beans.

Hello again! Today I made a new friend!

Upon waking up in the swamp, still bug bitten but much less so, I decided to get as far from that place as possible.

So I clad my feet in a Hum and used the steam pressure from the swamp water to skate and glide my way out of the odious swamps. I only crashed five times!

Along the way I was ambushed periodically by fang logs and massive slithers. Nothing some Tingles couldnt handle. Oh yeah, slithers slither, that's why they're called slithers. The most difficult thing was actually spotting them underwater. The muddy liquid hid them scarily well, but some tingles to the eyes let me see their inner fire even through the water. Then it is just a simple matter to blow them away.

Time flies when you're having fun, and it seemed like I was out of the swamps before I even knew it. At the edge of the swamps was a river delta, A slow wide river swept between small scrubby hills like silver words from a godly pen. Sandy beaches were interspersed along the great rivers bends.

It was on one of these beaches that I decided to rest and wash the accumulated sludge off of me and my new clothes. Funny how messy an exploding slither can get.

As I soaked and scrubbed I saw a massive head slowly breach the rivers waters. I scrambled to the shore and gazed in awe at the sheer size of this creature. I doubted I would be anything other than a small snack to something like that, but better safe than snack, right?

Stolen story; please report.

The head was scaled in thick muddy brown shades, shortly behind this massive cranium was what I had originally thought to be a barren rock island. Now I see it was this creatures back. Huge, this thing was gigantic!

As I gaped, stunned and astonished, at this new wonder movement caught my eye. A small, in comparison, shoddily crafted raft was drifting towards the behemoth. Onboard were a mass of screaming scrambling little green men.

You know what? I'm getting tired of writing little green men, I'll just write LGM instead. Yup, that's easier. Hm, LGM. that kicks a weird part of my brain. Now all I can think of is the word legume. You see the similarities? That settles it from now on the LGM shall be referred to as Legumes! They're small, green, and smelly too.

So, anyway, the legume raft drifted steadily, with much shrieking, into the giants mouth where it was promptly destroyed with disturbing ease. A loud snap and crack was followed by a deathly quiet.

So thats my new friend! She hates the legumes as much as I do. I named her Wrecker. When I tingled my eyes to see her more fully I was surprised to find she had four huge legs and a long scaled tail. I bet she could move on land perfectly well with those strong legs. So I decided to give my new friend some space to digest her meal.

Like I said better safe than snack.

Leaving the river and heading into the hills I found a new joyful activity. Rolling down the hills! You get super dizzy and its hard to walk after for a little while, but you get down the hill super fast!

I did that until the sun went down and as I was lying on my back after one particularily tall hill I saw something new.

Shinies is the sky. With a mild ache came the knowledge that these were stars. I'd never stayed up long after the sun left, and I was always focused on the ground around me not the heavens overhead.

So as I lie here writing todays events I gaze upon the beauty of the unknown known. I wonder what other wonders I've forgotten.

Goodnight.
