CHAPTER 981 THE TALK

Swish! When they saw Ricky step on Curran's chest, the attendants of the Chu Clan immediately

encircled him. But they didn't dare to attack him rashly, because they knew that Ricky only needed to

press harder with his foot, and he could kill Curran.

"Is Amelia's friend seriously going to make Curran crawl out of here?" one of the demi-spiritual

emperors of the Hong Clan asked worriedly. He didn't think it was proper for Ricky to do that. After all,

the Chu Clan was a spiritual-emperor force, and if they retaliated against the Hong Clan, they wouldn't

be able to fight back.

"It is fine. We have already decided to choose the Spirit Sect, so we don't need to be afraid anymore," Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

said another demi-spiritual emperor.

All the other demi-spiritual emperors quieted down after this answer, and from that point forward, none

of them spoke again.

"What...What are you doing?!" Curran roared, but the sheer fear written on his face belied his tone.

Ricky's real killing intent terrified him so much that he almost wet his pants. "If you kill me, all the

members of the Hong Clan will be buried together with me in no time."

Ricky felt the irresistible urge to trample and crush him beneath his feet when he heard his pathetic

threat.

"That's true. I can't kill you because of the Chu Clan, but there are worst things than death, you know. I

can let you have a taste of what true pain is. Can you imagine how it will feel if I crush all your bones to

pieces, from the smallest bones of your toes to your skull? I bet you will be the one begging for death

by then," Ricky said, grinning evilly.

The disciples of the Hong Clan shuddered when they heard Ricky's threats, and it wasn't even about

them. They realized that Ricky was much crueler than they had imagined.

But they also understood that this cruelty was necessary to deal with people like Curran. They were

afraid of the Chu Clan so they couldn't do it themselves, and now that Ricky had done it for them, they

had to admit that they wouldn't have done as well as Ricky.

Still, they were worried about the consequences if Ricky hurt Curran too much.

"Should we stop him?" some disciples wondered around. "If Curran crawls out of here, the Chu Clan

will surely take revenge on our Hong Clan, and we will be the ones who will suffer!"

"We should ask Amelia to stop him."

"Enough! Just let Kenney do as he wants." All their arguments were silenced by Abraham, the chief of

the Hong Clan, who chose this time to speak up.

At first, they could only stare in silence, but when they recovered, some of them protested. "But

Chief..."

Before they could finish their words, they were interrupted by Abraham. "This is fine. Anyway, the Chu

Clan will never let us go, and I will never send my daughter to live in hell either. So, I have decided to

go and seek refuge with the Spirit Sect, and we will be a small branch of their sect."

Meanwhile, Curran was roaring at Ricky like a cornered animal, which was quite fitting for his situation.

"How dare you?!" he snarled at Ricky.

Ricky didn't deign to answer Curran, but he made his intentions known by his actions. In the next

moment, a terrible howl that sounded like a pig being slaughtered rang out. It was Curran's wailing

voice.

"Do you want to die? How dare you treat Mister Curran in this way? He is the cousin of our young

master Carney, and our Chu Clan is a spiritual-emperor force. We will pulverize you," one of his

attendants shouted angrily, but despite their threats and glares, none of them moved to rescue Curran

from Ricky.

They did want to rescue him, but they were too afraid of Ricky, and they were well aware that their

speed couldn't match up to his.

On the other hand, Ricky didn't care about them at all.

Finally, when Curran could no longer stand the pain from his broken bones, he rolled away and crawled

away from the Hong Clan. But before he left, he threatened everyone that he would take revenge.

And that was how the Chu Clan's attempt to humiliate the Hong Clan came to an end.

From that day on, Kenney's name was remembered by all the disciples of the Hong Clan.

Soon, Amanda, Soar, and their other companions showed up too, and from Amanda's explanation, the

disciples of the Hong Clan found out that Ricky was Amelia's old friend.

But apart from that, Amanda didn't say anything more to the curious disciples.

After the incident, the chief and the demi-spiritual emperor elders of the Hong Clan all expressed their

gratitude to Ricky.

Amanda also informed the senior members of the Hong Clan about the idea that they came up with,

while the others listened raptly to her explanations.

The senior members of the Hong Clan were silent at first and hesitant to agree, but in the end, they all

agreed without further discussion or protests. After all, they didn't think that surrendering to the Spiritual

Sect was a better solution.

If this idea didn't work, then that would be the time to submit to the Spiritual Sect.

The age of Ricky's outward appearance wasn't an issue either, as the strength of a warrior was more

important in the martial world. They figured that as long as Amelia didn't refuse to marry Ricky, then it

would be alright.

Besides, they couldn't object when the bride herself was willing, could they?

"So, are you serious about this? Are you going to be the son-in-law of the Hong Clan?" Pearl and Tina

asked Ricky telepathically, jealousy apparent in their voices. Strangely, they asked at the same time, as

if they talked beforehand and agreed on a plan without Ricky's knowledge.

And that was indeed what happened. They talked to each other before they asked Ricky and came to

an agreement.

"What do you mean? Anyway, you've gotten the wrong idea. I will clarify this to Amelia on the first

opportunity," Ricky replied immediately.

All men liked pretty women, and Ricky was no exception, but he didn't believe that he needed more

women to be happy. He already had Pearl, Tina, and Grace with him, and they were enough for him.

As for Amelia, he thought that he had to talk to her about this as soon as possible. Otherwise, it could

get out of control, and the consequences would be too serious.

After the decision was made, Amelia and Amanda made arrangements for Ricky and his companions

in person. None of the other members of the Hong Clan let their guard down, for they knew Curran very

well, and they were sure that he wouldn't rest until he could have his revenge on Ricky and their clan.

Curran would come back, and that would be the time for the Hong Clan and the Chu Clan to lay all their

cards on the table.

And none of the members of the Hong Clan could do anything about that.

After Ricky was settled, he told Amelia that he wanted to talk to her in private, so that they could make

things clear between them.

Although, it wasn't possible for the two to talk alone, because Tina was still inside the Massacring

Zone.

"Ricky, it's been nearly three years since I last saw you. I can't believe that you've grown to a level that

I can't reach," Amelia said, breaking the silence. "What surprised me more is that you are an ace

genius who has cultivated the chaotic power."

"It seems that Amanda has told you everything about me," Ricky answered as he smiled at her warmly.

"Yes, she did!" Amelia nodded. "Can I see how you look like now?"

"Okay," Ricky answered, nodding his head. Then he withdrew the middle realm of the Transforming

Omnipotent Skill, so she could see his real face.

Once his real face was exposed, Amelia was suddenly struck dumb.

"What? Are you addicted to my handsome face?" Ricky said jokingly when he saw that Amelia was in a

daze.

"Ha-ha!" Amelia couldn't help but burst into laughter when she heard Ricky's joking words. "Ricky,

although I didn't know you well, you are still as interesting as before."

"Ha-ha, you think so?" Ricky replied, laughing as well.

At that moment, they were both remembering the time when they were in the Snow Land, but they

soon calmed down, and their laughs grew quiet.

Amelia noticed that Ricky wanted to say something serious, so she waited for him to talk.

When he didn't talk though, she broke the embarrassing silence. "Ricky, is there something you want to

tell me? We have nothing to hide from each other."

"Okay..." Ricky nodded but he still found it difficult to put his thoughts into words.

Finally, he opened his mouth and started to say, "Amelia, I want to talk about our so-called

engagement. I don't want to hurt you, but..."
