CHAPTER 979 YOU ARE JUST A WASTE OF BLOOD
Just then, a figure walked out from the gate of the Hong Clan to the arena. Every head turned to the
figure, and the ongoing battle was momentarily forgotten.
What they could see at that moment was an ordinary-looking, middle-aged man. None of them knew
that it was Ricky, who was using the middle realm of the Transforming Realm.
All people were naturally confused because the disciples of the Hong Clan had never seen Ricky
before. In this situation, they weren't sure whether Ricky was a disciple of their clan or not.
None of them could identify who he was, and their minds were working slowly due to the pressure and
humiliation that Curran had brought them.
In contrast, the powerful demi-spiritual emperors of the Hong Clan were sensible, and they asked each
other through the telepathic link, "How can this person enter? Why didn't the guards stop him?"
"Let's see what he's going to do first!" another demi-spiritual emperor answered.
All eyes were fixed on Ricky, as he jumped up and landed beside Amelia on the platform.
On the other hand, Amelia was just as confused as the rest of them, but something about Ricky's eyes
and the scent he gave off seemed familiar to her. And the way the middle-aged man looked at her was Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
somewhat comforting as well.
She didn't think that he was repulsive at all, so, like the others, she waited for him to say his piece.
"Amelia, you've grown into a beautiful woman in just a few years. I'm so happy to see you!" Ricky
teased through the telepathic link.
And when Amelia heard this, she immediately knew who the man was.
"Ricky, it's you! Why are you here?" she cried out, although her appearance belied her words. Her
facial expression stayed the same, and there wasn't a single trace of surprise on her face.
Of course, Amelia would never forget Ricky. After all, they had made a promise before.
At that time, her intuition had been so sure that Ricky wasn't a simple man, and he was totally different
from what he appeared to be. So, Amelia let Ricky make the promise.
She didn't expect too much from that promise, but she couldn't forget it because it was the first time
she let a man make a promise to her. She remembered it clearly for she had a huge crush on Ricky at
that time.
After all, a girl would always remember clearly the first man whom she had a crush on.
"I came to do as I promised," Ricky said as he smiled warmly at Amelia.
"But what happened to your face?" Amelia said incredulously. She stared at Ricky's face, which had
changed so much that she couldn't even recognize him anymore. If it wasn't for his eyes and scent that
felt so familiar, she wouldn't entertain him at all.
"Well, I had to change my appearance for a personal reason. We'll talk about that later. Let me beat the
lackey first," Ricky said confidently.
"Ricky, Curran is not easy to deal with..."
Amelia spoke in a wavering voice, worry evident on her face, but Ricky interrupted her and said, "Don't
worry. I don't engage in fights that I know I'm doomed to lose."
"Amelia, are all your disciples so impolite?" At this time, Curran interrupted their private conversation
abruptly. He seemed uninterested with Ricky and didn't even glance his way because, in his mind, the
dragon shouldn't care about the snake that loitered around.
"You henchman! How dare you speak to Amelia that way! I'll rip your mouth for that later," said Ricky
coolly.
"Who the hell is that guy? He seems to know Amelia, but he is so arrogant!" The disciples from the
Hong Clan seemed to have forgotten the humiliation that Curran had brought to them, as they were
starting to buzz with curiosity once again.
In their eyes, Ricky was too arrogant.
Boom! This time, Curran couldn't just ignore what Ricky had said. The tiny spark of anger in his heart
roared into a big flame that burned hotter every time Ricky opened his mouth.
"I dare you to say that again?" Curran said to Ricky coldly.
"Ha-ha, I will not only say it, but I will also explain what a lackey is. Maybe you don't get it!" Ricky
replied with a sneer, and he proceeded to explain what a lackey was in detail with a teasing smirk on
his face.
"A lackey is a thug hired by someone else, and they do their bidding like a loyal dog. They act like they
are their hands or legs, as they go wherever they're asked to go, or do whatever they're asked to do.
You're probably Carney's leg and his dog. Now, do you understand?"
"Ha ha!" The arena erupted into raucous noise, filled with the boisterous laughter of all the disciples of
the Hong Clan. Even though for just a moment, they felt that it was payback because someone else
was humiliating Curran.
But their cheer lasted only a short while, as they worried about how furious he was going to be, and
how he would react to this stranger who humiliated him.
And their worries seemed to be well-founded. Without saying a word, Curran suddenly condensed his
strongest power and punched Ricky's face. He moved so fast that the Hong Clan disciples didn't even
see him move.
They were so worried about Ricky that their hearts almost jumped out of their throats.
Although some of them were annoyed with Ricky's arrogance, he still stood up for their clan, so they
somewhat felt that he was on their side. Also, Ricky's words really helped them vent their anger.
All of them were surprised when instead of hitting Ricky, Curran's punch hit air instead. Ricky had
suddenly disappeared into thin air, but he reappeared just as quickly behind Curran.
"How did that happen? Am I seeing things?" some of the disciples murmured lowly, as Ricky
disappeared and reappeared. They watched in a daze, shocked and confused.
"We are seeing things. That was real. That guy must have used profound steps to move that fast," one
of the more knowledgeable disciples guessed.
'That man's delicate steps could teleport him instantly. Where did Amelia meet such a person?' the
demi-spiritual emperor of the Hong Clan on the balcony not far away wondered in astonishment.
Ricky's arrival had caused a stir, and most of them were excited to know more about this stranger.
Amelia's eyes widened when she saw this, and she noticed that the young man seemed to have grown
to a level she could not believe. He didn't just show up without any preparation, but he had brought
extraordinary power with him.
At that moment, Amelia was terribly glad that she followed her instincts that day.
Meanwhile, Curran was utterly humiliated, and he felt as if he had been tricked by a monkey.
But he didn't know that the most humiliating thing was still underway, and he wouldn't know what hit
him once it was done.
On the other hand, Ricky finally decided that insults were not enough, so he kicked Curran right at his
buttocks. He didn't use too much power, as that would have thrown him too far, but he used enough
force to make sure he fell on his face like an idiot.
He taunted him, as he looked down at him. He said, "You are just a lackey and a big waste of blood.
How dare you challenge me here? You useless monkey!"
"Go to hell!" Finally, Curran launched another quick strike at Ricky. This attack was filled with as much
strong killing intent as the last one, if not more.
"It seems that it's not as difficult as I thought. He just needed a little humiliation, and now, he's all
messed up!" Ricky frowned distastefully at Curran, as he talked to Tina.
"He was sent here by the Chu Clan, which means that he's not doing well," she answered. "But he is
not bad. After all, he cultivated almost to the level of the demi-spiritual emperor at this age."
"You are right, of course."
