CHAPTER 420 FIRE BURNING IN THE ICE
The silence that followed was as though the whole world had been completely destroyed in an instant.
Everyone couldn't help turning their heads to look at Ricky and see how he would react.
Tyson and Kristen grew silent, their sorrow for Grace remaining in their eyes. Hoffman also felt sorry for
her, as she had a link with Kristen whom he had been pursuing for years.
Ricky was silent.
But everyone could feel an infinite frostiness in him, which extremely terrified them. Ricky's eyes grew
bloodshot, quivering so intensely that nobody knew exactly where he was looking at, which terrified
them even more.
If they looked closely at Ricky, they would see blood running from Ricky's clenched fists as he dug his
fingernails deep into his palms.
Even though Ricky remained silent, there seemed to be an extremely crazy beast clawing its way out of
him.
"Plop!" Tears fell from Ricky's eyes onto the competition platform. He fell to his knees, still silent.
Out of everyone here, he had been the closest to her.
Grace, his dearest master, had died in front of him in this way. There was nothing he could do but
watch this happen, which made him racked with guilt.
He hated himself for his inability to activate the mysterious axe in the Soul Sea within his body, for his
inaction on deterring Grace from fighting and for his countless other shortcomings.
"Master..." he uttered hoarsely. All the grief and guilt he felt turned into this single word.
Right now, all that occupied his mind was that what he could do to make Grace come back to life. He
had forgotten about everything except this in his current mind, or he would be distracted by the fact of
Kinsey killing Grace. He would take revenge on him, but not just yet. It wouldn't bring Grace back, and
she was all that mattered at that moment.
Ricky's willpower grew weak. He felt lost; directionless.
In tackling difficulties in martial arts, he had always had strong willpower and great perseverance. But
when it came to the select few that he loved, he had a sensitive heart and could become very
emotionally affected.
But this could be said about most warriors. They were still human, after all.
Looking at the Grace's frozen, stiff body which was about to fragment completely, Ricky felt numb with
grief, with the trembling of his eyes being the only motion of his body.
It was a testament to how deeply Ricky felt about her.
"Grace, see how worthwhile your death is. How sorrowful your disciple is! He seems to forget who and
where he is," Kinsey said indifferently after turning his head to look at Ricky and then at Grace's frozen
body.
"But Grace, it's such a pity that you won't know all this since you are now dead. You will never be able
to know or achieve anything ever again. Ha-ha!"
Kinsey's laughter broke the shocked silence.
"Ricky, don't worry. You will soon reunite with your master in hell. As you know, I usually refuse to be a
bad guy and do evil deeds, especially when it comes to separating people who belong together. Ha-
ha!"
"Kinsey, you have already killed Grace; now stop being so arrogant! It won't give you any benefit at all!"
Hoffman couldn't tolerate Kinsey's arrogance and shouted at him after seeing Ricky turn a deaf ear to
Kinsey's words. "If you keep being this way, all your friends and allies will desert you one day!"
"Ha-ha! Deserted? Hoffman, do you really think that I have a soft heart? Well, let me tell you this. Your
prediction won't even happen, because the only person that I trust is myself. Everyone else is for
survival, for advantage, for need!"
"You shameless bastard!" Hoffman shouted, his face growing dark and murderous.
The next moment, the light curtain covering Hoffman's competition platform of the Fortune Pond moved
directly to Kinsey. He intended to challenge Kinsey!
But Kinsey refused him.
"Hoffman, listen! As I said, I am not the kind of guy who likes to separate others, so my next priority is
to reunite Ricky with his master in hell," Kinsey called out, looking at Ricky murderously.
"Kinsey, if you aren't a coward, then accept my challenge. Otherwise, you don't deserve to be called a
real man," Hoffman snorted in rage after hearing what Kinsey said.
"Ha-ha! I don't think it is necessary to accept your challenge to prove myself to be a real man!" Kinsey
laughingly sneered.
"Hoffman, what's the hurry? After I finish reuniting Ricky and his master, I will challenge you as well as
everybody else in this area so that I can obtain the ultimate dragon meridian which obviously only I
deserve."
"Your arrogance is so bothersome!" "How could you be so conceited?" quite a few warriors shouted
angrily after hearing Kinsey's words.
Even Sham looked at Kinsey with a murderous look. Despite the fact that Sham and Ricky as well as
the others were opponents in life-or-death fights, he had no close relationship with Kinsey as they
previously cooperated solely for their own needs.
Sham knew that he would be one of the competitors in Kinsey's challenge.
"Ha-ha!" Kinsey burst into laughter as he stared indifferently at all the hateful looks directed at him. He
then fixed his eyes on the dragon meridian on Grace's body. He had already got ready to take it away
from her and activate his dragon meridian in order to absorb it.
But he couldn't take it, no matter how hard he tried!
The dragon meridians of the warriors and ferocious beasts in the Fortune Land would become
detached from their bodies when they died, but surprisingly, Grace's was still attached to her body. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
"How can this be possible?" warriors said, puzzled at this.
The reason why Grace's dragon meridian remained attached could only be that she was still alive!
They quickly noticed that the frosty power around Grace's body still existed.
"This can't be possible! She is still alive? The Metallic Mutant Storm had clearly pierced through her
body!" gasped Kinsey, shaking his head hard in shocked disbelief.
The moment his voice trailed away, changes took place in Grace's frozen body.
First, the temperature around Grace's frozen body began to rise suddenly as though there was a big
stove; but her strong frosty power still remained at the same time.
"Crackle!" came the sound of fiercely blazing fire.
Red flames began to burn within the icy layer around Grace's frozen body.
"Crack!" "Crack!"
With the red fire burning, the icy layer wrapping around Grace's body began to break into pieces. Soon,
her original body emerged, surrounded by flickering flames.
All the other warriors became numb with shock after witnessing this extraordinary change!
If they took a closer look, they would notice that all the flames around Grace's body came from the red
birthmark on her face.
Then another transformation took place! The widespread frosty power around her gathered to Grace's
body again.
It was a magnificent sight to see. Grace's body was surrounded by flames and ice at the same time!
