CHAPTER 1033 SAVE HIS LIFE
Carney had disappeared. He had been transferred to Arthur's Small World for the purpose of healing.
Meanwhile, a figure showed up right at the spot where he disappeared.
That was a burly old man with white hair.
Although he was old, he exuded an aura of confidence with unparalleled energy. As he stood there, his
strong aura stood out so intensely that no one could move their eyes away from him. Langston, Calvin,
and all spiritual emperors in the void became background in contrast to him.
Arthur, the Sky-breaking Emperor, for whom all creatures in the Western Land had a sense of respect,
admiration, and even fear, could probably be qualified to be the strongest warrior in the Western Land.
As the previous chief of the Sky-breaking Dome, he was claimed himself as the Sky-breaking Emperor.
It only meant that he was the most powerful warrior in the Western Land.
"I didn't expect the Sky-breaking Emperor to save Carney. He left a Space Sign on Carney's body so
that he could take him away from Langston's Small World. After all, Langston is just a lower grade
spiritual emperor," the warriors whispered.
"I don't think the Spirit Sect will let this go. It would be too shameful for them. Besides, the warriors from
the Spirit Sect hate Carney so much because every time he made a breakthrough, he would always go
to challenge the Spirit Sect!"
With Arthur's appearance, the two Dominant Top Elders of the Spirit Sect also arrived consecutively to
each other.
The two old men who were dressed in burlap cloth emitted powerful energy comparable to that of
Arthur.
One was the Mason, who was called the Spiritual Mountain Emperor, and the other was Easton, who
was called the Spiritual Water Emperor.
"Mason," Arthur called out, "creating Space Signs such as this is one of my defense methods and is
therefore not illegal in this competition." He looked at the two Dominant Top Elders with cold
indifference.
"Arthur, you have your methods, but our Spirit Sect also have our rules. Since Carney and Kenney
have signed a deathmatch contract, they should fight to the death," Mason stated.
"Now that your method has broken our rules, we must settle this."
"Is that so? How exactly should we settle this?" Arthur said frigidly.
"Of course we're going to have to take Carney away from you, and then let him continue the ultimate
battle with Kenney." Mason responded.
"Well, Mason, I'm already here. So I'm sorry, but the battle has to be postponed." Arthur grew colder
and more frigid as he sensed the hostility in Mason's tone. Arthur chuckled mirthlessly. "Did you think
that you two would be able to take Carney away from me?
I'm not afraid of going against the so-called morality. You, the Spirit Sect have your rules, while I have
my own methods. The law of this world is just as cruel as the law of the jungle. Today you will fail to
stop me from saving Carney because you are not strong enough!"
The energy from his body suddenly surged out as soon as he finished his words. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
All the warriors immediately retreated—they didn't want to be caught up in the oncoming fight and die
in vain.
However, they didn't really think that the three strongest warriors would actually start fighting. Although
the Sky-breaking Dome was the strongest force, the Spirit Sect was also powerful.
If a fight did break out, both sides would suffer great losses.
The three strongest warriors were hoping to avoid that result.
"Arthur, I have to admit that you are powerful and you are indeed qualified to be the first place in the
Western Land. However, in my opinion, that doesn't mean you'll surely become the strongest one
whom all of us would recognize to be. And today, to welcome your arrival, we have prepared an array
at the level of the middle spiritual emperor, to be deployed especially for you," Mason said in a mocking
tone.
The two Dominant Top Elders then knitted their hands together and gathered their strength.
Boom! Their energies surged out. The ground shook, threatening to collapse. A huge array appeared
and enveloped the two Dominant Top Elders and Arthur.
In the midst of the roaring strength, mountains and rivers appeared behind the two Dominant Top
Elders.
As Arthur noticed and felt the power of the array, his face darkened.
He had already sensed that the array was a real threat to him. If he fought the two Dominant Top
Elders, he would not die, but he would definitely be seriously injured. Of course one of the elders would
also probably be badly hurt, but that was not the result he would want.
Both sides were silent, carefully pondering what to do next. The crowd was also left stunned by the
scene—no one dared guess what was about to happen.
After a long moment, Arthur interrupted the silence. "Mason, you could use this array to stop me, but I
believe that your Spirit Sect will be in a mess. Even you or Easton will be seriously injured.
So, we better make a concession before we regret our actions!"
"What do you mean?" Mason asked, clearly intrigued.
"Let your disciple tell me his condition. I will fulfill it on the condition that he temporarily stop the battle,"
Arthur offered.
"You want to do us a special favor to save Carney's life?" Mason said with a hint of astonishment laced
in his voice.
"That's right. I will grant your request if you would let Carney live," Arthur replied calmly.
"Sir, I accept!" Ricky's voice resounded as soon as Arthur finished his words.
Ricky knew that he had missed the best opportunity to kill Carney just now. It was impossible to
continue the battle with Carney under the current situation.
A fight between the Dominant Top Elders and the Sky-breaking emperor was just too risky. Moreover,
the region they were in was under the rule of the Spirit Sect. If the fight among the three middle spiritual
emperors took place, the Spirit Sect would be destroyed. That was not what Ricky wanted to see.
So, now that Arthur had made a concession, Ricky did not want to drag the battle on any longer.
He didn't have a better choice.
As for Carney, Ricky would never take someone so pathetic as a real opponent.
He must kill Carney, but not now. Ricky knew that Carney was wild for revenge and was guaranteed to
always come back to haunt him down. After all, he was responsible for Carney's inner demons that
hinder the latter from future cultivation. If Carney did not kill Ricky, the former would never make any
further progress.
"Sirs, the battle is over. I'll deal with everything here," Ricky said to the two Dominant Top Elders.
"Very well. You're a great blessing." The two Dominant Top Elders were both relieved and impressed
that Ricky dared to stand up and speak out his opinion by himself.
Both of they understood that even if the two of them used their full strength, it was still impossible for
them to take Carney away from Arthur that easily. Ricky agreeing to Arthur's proposition only proved
that he was the kind of genius who was reasonable and able to size up the situation quickly and
accurately.
"You are quite delightful, sirs," Ricky replied respectfully.
It was a great achievement for Ricky to have obtained appreciation from the two Dominant Top Elders.
"However, if I may ask, what request I will make do you think is suitable?" Ricky furrowed his eyebrows
in concentration.
"Well, if you would trust me, I will make the request on your behalf," Mason said with a slight smile.
