CHAPTER 709 TINA'S FEELINGS
Crack! Crack!
The sound of cracking interrupted the Evil Emperor's speech. With an erratic rhythm, the Luxurious
Emperor's bones cracked from the heavy impact. Grunting turned into yelling, the sounds punctuated
the hatred and resentment that engulfed the Luxurious Emperor. He was furious.
His eyes blazed ferociously. The killing intent behind them was obvious to everyone present.
Given the chance, the Luxurious Emperor would destroy the Oriental College. But, in his anger, even
that didn't seem enough. He burned with the desire to see the whole Oriental Realm crumble into dust
before his eyes. Blood would flow freely in the land, with a slaughter brought about by his own hands.
However, it would be nothing more than a pipe dream. He was a supreme emperor, but he was no
match against the Oriental Emperor and the Evil Emperor.
The weak could do nothing but eat humble pie.
"I'm warning you—you will pay for what you did to me. I swear to God that I will come back for you,
sooner or later," the Luxurious Emperor roared, his anger suppressed and tempered by the chill in his
tone.
"Thanks for the kind reminder. I think I can at least pay the price," was the Oriental Emperor's flat
response. He stared back, unimpressed by the threats made on his enemy.
"Sir, I'm afraid the Luxurious Emperor will be irritated by your words and will thus fight back with all his
might," Ricky said to caution the Oriental Emperor through their telepathic link.
"Don't worry too much, Ricky. Even without your interference, the Luxurious Emperor and our Oriental
College are doomed to have a ferocious fight. We have been enemies for a long time. The Luxurious
Chamber of Commerce has already teamed up with the Nether Manor from the Dark Fallen Realm and
the Endless Shadow," the Oriental Emperor said, soothing Ricky calmly.
"So, don't feel guilty. You did not bring us any trouble. We would have fought against him sooner or
later.
What's more, we are your seniors in the Oriental College. So when you are trapped and faced with
tricky problems, we are supposed to help you. If you were hunted by those extremely powerful
emperors who are stronger than us, it might be more difficult for us to deal with them. But if it were just
those spiritual emperors who are at the same level as us, we are confident and not afraid of them."
"Thank you so much, sir." He bowed as he spoke. Respect and gratitude seeped into Ricky's every
action.
"But, sir, I'd like to ask one more thing. How are you going to resist the attack from the Nether Manor,
the Endless Shadow, and the Luxurious Chamber of Commerce? They must be very strong when the
three organizations cooperate." His brows furrowed as he spoke, lingering doubt tinged his voice.
"I think they will act after the competition for the Sense of Realm is over," the Oriental Emperor said.
"They have teamed up, but we don't need to worry too much. Our Oriental College has many friends as
well."
Ricky released a relieved sigh. His worry over the dangerous situation the Oriental College faced was
considerably decreased. Truth be told, even if Ricky wanted to offer a hand, he would not be of much
help. The war that loomed over the Oriental College would be a ferocious one that only the spiritual
emperors could handle. His worries would not make any difference in the outcome.
Ricky understood this. So he decided to concentrate on his cultivation instead. This way, he could
prepare for the upcoming fight for the Sense of Realm.
"You'd better remember the things you've said here. The next time we meet, don't you dare act like a
coward. I will get back everything I lost, sooner or later. I suggest you watch your back because I will be
watching you carefully, no matter where I am," the Luxurious Emperor stated resentfully before he tore
a gap in the air and disappeared through it.
"What a stubborn old man! I'm looking forward to seeing his schemes play out. I hope he comes back
soon so I can beat the shit out of him." A huge, condescending smirk spread on the Evil Emperor's face
as he watched the Luxurious Emperor. Manic glee glinted in his eyes.
"You are being a bit arrogant by saying those words. The Luxurious Emperor is indeed no match for us.
But it is not an easy job if we want to trap him here," the Oriental Emperor commented. "That aside, I
have a gut feeling that he was holding back his strength when you fought against him."
"Oh? Did he? I trust your gut. Has that old man been concealing his true strength all this time? Maybe
he's waiting for the time when the fight for the Sense of Realm breaks out!" Slowly, the smug smile on
the Evil Emperor's face dropped. He held his chin in his hand as he reasoned out possibilities to his
companion.
"Probably. We have no idea for now. So we must be careful and keep alert all the time," the Oriental
Emperor suggested.
Rumors of this event found their way into the ears of everyone in the Eastern Land before long. All the
forces affected by it in some way were shocked by the result.
They had never expected that the Luxurious Emperor would yield to the Oriental College and claim to
be willing to exchange treasures for Pearl. The price for this trade—thousands of gold coins and
cultivation resources that could fill two spiritual space tools—was another surprise to the whisperers.
Few people knew why the Luxurious Emperor would agree to this deal.
The final shocking news in this ordeal was the fact that Ricky ultimately refused it.
His reason for rejecting this offer was that he wanted to keep Pearl because she was his woman! That
was just unbelievable.
"It seems that Ricky is not just an ace genius. He also cares about things apart from cultivation, such
as women. But I don't think this is a good plan. The Luxurious Emperor will never forgive him and will
haunt him, no matter where he goes," said one of the many gossipers about Ricky.
"Ricky's probably not just interested in Pearl for her beauty alone. She owns the Feminine Mutant.
Maybe that's what Ricky values the most," commented some warriors who knew about the Feminine
Mutant.
The warriors who loved Pearl gritted their teeth. They hated Ricky more than anything. Ronson was
one of them. They all thought that they could fight for Pearl and her source of feminine. They thought
they could win.
But now, Ricky imprisoned her. That left only one guess for what he might do to her.
Unknown to all of them was that Ricky had already done what they anticipated. He had slept with Pearl
and practiced that specific method.
For those discussions and gossips about him and Pearl, Ricky just put a deaf ear to them. He went
back to his place before he bade goodbye to the Oriental Emperor and the Evil Emperor. Then, he sat
down and began to adjust his breath, preparing for the next cultivation.
At the same time, he asked the Evil Emperor to help Henry get admitted by the Oriental College.
Of course, the Evil Emperor didn't reject his request.
Now, Ricky was almost as famous as Jasper in the Oriental College. The only difference between them
was that Ricky had not reached the level of Jasper's strength yet. When Ricky finally improved his
power, one could say that the Oriental College had produced two legends.
"Well, it's time to face her," Ricky murmured in a helpless voice after he calmed down.
Then, he unlocked the Chaotic Fire Zone. Tina materialized in front of him, escaping the confines of the
Chaotic Fire Zone.
"Ricky, you finally let me leave the Chaotic Fire Zone," Tina huffed, clearly unhappy. She crossed her
arms and glanced at her surroundings. She was not at all surprised to find herself in Ricky's place. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.
There was a bit of resentment in her, born out of the fact that she had been locked inside the Chaotic
Fire Zone for such a long time.
When Ricky had locked her inside, she had known that when he released her they would be back at
the Oriental College.
"I'm sorry, Tina. I had to do it in that situation," Ricky said. He rubbed the back of his neck as he
awkwardly glanced at Tina.
"You already got out of that place. You practiced that cultivation method with Pearl. Am I right?" Tina
asked.
There was a hint of jealousy in her voice and the clipped way she spoke emphasized the emotion.
Pearl knew Ricky intimately—she knew him in a way that Tina envied.
"Tina, if you think I'm a playboy or something like that, then I don't know how to explain it. You can
leave if you want and I won't stop you." Ricky's eyes flitted between her and the door. His face was
serious.
"Am I such a narrow-minded woman in your eyes?" Tina caught his gaze in a soft stare.
"You know what I'm thinking. You know I have feelings for you, don't you? I might be jealous when you
have other girlfriends, but it won't affect my feelings for you. I love you, Ricky. I only hope that there is
still a place for me in your heart even if you fall in love with other girls."
Tina grasped her arms tightly, insecure and threatened by Pearl and Ricky's relationship. She was
afraid that Ricky would leave her. While she was in the Chaotic Fire Zone, she decided to tell him about
her feelings again and she did it immediately after she saw him. It was a desperate move by a
desperate woman.
Her words surprised Ricky, though. He was dumbfounded, struck silent and fumbling for a proper
response.
This was something he had not anticipated at all.
