CHAPTER 609 WATER ENLIGHTENMENT
"What a joke! Let me tell you. You've already lost to me and you'll never beat me no matter how much
progress you've made!" Martin taunted Samson with a contemptuous smile.
"I was planning to send Ricky's soul to the Primitive Corridor first, but since you seem to be in a hurry,
maybe I should just start with you."
A beam of golden light flashed, and a golden sword appeared in Martin's hand. It buzzed with fighting
spirit.
"My vengeance," Samson stated solemnly, "will start with me crushing your sword and then your body!"
The moment Samson said those words, his eyes glowed. His aura surged all around him and turned
into a tsunami that was going to engulf anything that crossed its path.
Then, a silver sword appeared in front of him, floating in the air.
When Samson's hand grasped the sword, his aura soared even higher, condensed into a single wave,
and then rushed toward Martin like an angry tide of death.
"Amateur," Martin spat. He stood his ground and kept himself from flinching at the terrifying display of
Samson's power. He might be threatened by Samson's tidal wave, but Samson did not need to know
that.
Even from a significant distance, Martin could clearly feel the destructive power embedded within
Samson's attack. He braced himself.
'Damn it! Fuck!' Martin cursed inwardly. Why is he so powerful now? He should've been poisoned! Why
aren't the toxins working?'
Wielding his silver sword, Samson charged at Martin.
"Ricky, perhaps Samson is more powerful than we think. He seems to be just as powerful as I am if not
more," Terrence told Ricky through their telepathic link.
"I didn't expect this kind of power from him, which is great. He may be able to defeat Martin," Ricky
replied.
"Now we just need to protect Samson from Duncan's attack. I believe he still wants us to help him."
"Sure, but it seems that Duncan has no intention of joining the fight. Maybe the union between him and
Martin isn't as strong as we think," replied Terrence.
"Well, it's good that they're having disagreements," Ricky said, smiling.
Boom!
Bang! In the blink of an eye, Samson and Martin collided. Their swords crashed against each other and
made a soul-crushing, thunderous sound that rattled the heavens. Martin came at Samson with all his
strength, always attacking head on, while Samson dodged and diverted Martin's every single blow like
water flowing over a sturdy rock.
Martin's element was metal—hard, firm, and straightforward. His every attack was directed at
Samson's weakest points.
Samson's element was water—soft and amorphous. It was less firm and piercing compared to Martin's, This belongs to : ©.
but it was just as lethal in a calm, quiet sort of way.
The soft power of water was the hard power of metal's direct opposite.
It was like a spring. It would contract under pressure and protect itself, but once the pressure was off, it
would bounce back to counter-attack.
Samson's power was patient while Martin's was aggressive, and Martin's power of metal could not
pierce through Samson's power of water. Over time, Martin's power would be exhausted. Then,
Samson's power would bounce back and overpower Martin's.
"Samson is going to win the battle," Ricky commented. "His Water Enlightenment has reached an
unbeatable level."
"You're right. It seems that we don't have to worry about him," Terrence agreed.
"It's not over yet. Let's see if Martin still has some tricks up his sleeve," Ricky replied.
Bang!
Once again, Martin's golden sword collided with Samson's silver sword. The impact was so strong that
it erupted in a mist of golden light and silver drizzle and sent the two flying toward opposite sides of the
space.
For the first time in the fight, Martin and Samson were standing far apart.
Martin's face turned grim as he realized that Samson's power was stronger than his. His Water
Enlightenment, to a certain extent, was able to absorb his attacks. Unless his power could penetrate
through the power of water, he was not going to defeat Samson.
"How do you like that, Martin?" Samson sneered.
He had been waiting for this moment for a long time.
In his mind, he thanked Ricky because if Ricky had not helped him clear the toxins from his system, he
would not have been able to summon such power.
"Now," Ricky said, smiling, "I can understand why he was willing to go through such inhumane pain in
order to get rid of the toxins in his heart."
"Please.
Don't kid yourself, Samson. Do you really believe you can defeat me?" Martin scoffed.
"I'll show you what real power is!"
Boom!
Martin decided it was time to unleash all his power. His Golden Enlightenment transformed into arrays
of light and radiated from his body, each containing immense destructive power.
"Go to hell!" Martin bellowed.
In a heartbeat, Martin's aura surged and his current power reached the level of a first-class middle
spiritual king.
Martin's Golden Enlightenment filled the entire space. Countless golden blades formed and surrounded
Martin's body. Then, a colossal golden shadow surfaced behind him.
Martin had just summoned the power of his blood.
Martin's ancestors, the founders of the Golden Leopard Valley, were a formidable group of people who
harnessed the Golden Enlightenment like no other.
Clearly, Martin inherited that ability.
Ricky started to worry. 'At the power level of a first-class middle spiritual king, Martin's enlightening
power will be greatly enhanced. I hope Samson is prepared for this, ' he pondered.
"Don't worry. Samson isn't going to lose to him," Carley said firmly. "We're from the Nanchao Clan.
We also have our own blood power."
"Prepare to meet your end, Samson," Martin jeered, feeling the surge of his power.
His confidence had been restored.
"Martin, you're forgetting something. I'm from the Nanchao Clan. We were and are stronger than the
people of the Golden Leopard Valley," Samson answered.
Boom!
Samson's Water Enlightenment rose once again, but this time, it formed an enormous, liquid figure
behind him. Samson's taunting smile could only mean that he had also just summoned his clan's blood
power.
In no time, Samson's Water Enlightenment also attained the power level of a first-class middle spiritual
king.
