Chapter 452 The Fight Over The Devil-suppressing Jade

CHAPTER 452 THE FIGHT OVER THE DEVIL-SUPPRESSING JADE

Tina blushed when she heard Soar's words. She did not dare to say anything else.

Ricky, on the other hand, called out his bid without hesitation, "Twenty thousand!"

Right after he finished yelling out his bid, everyone turned their heads to look at his room. All the

people became curious about who it was that dared to bid. The owner of that voice must be bold and

rich! He directly increased the price by ten thousand gold coins!

"Are those the same three people who just had a fight with the young master of the Golden Leopard

Valley?" a warrior asked. He had seen the chaos that had happened earlier.

"Really?"

"Yes, I'm sure of that. They are rich enough to book a room on the third floor!

I'm starting to become curious as to whether the young master of the Golden Leopard Valley will

compete with them!"

"Is that the bastard I had trouble with?" the young master asked in a cold voice from another private

room. At first, he was busy molesting the maid, but when he heard the familiar voice, he immediately

recognized it.

"Yes, young master," the old man replied.

"I know it's him! Call out our price!" the young master ordered.

"My young master, we are here in order to win the two specific treasures. The more we spend on other

treasures, the less likely we are going to get what we want. Once we have one thousand gold coins

less, maybe we will be unable to finish our task,"

the old man explained patiently. He did not think it was a wise idea to bid for something they did not

want.

"I know what you mean, but I'm not that foolish," the young master replied. "The reason I want you to

call out the bid is because I want that bastard to pay more for it. I never wanted to waste my gold coins

on that broken Devil-suppressing Jade."

"I'm glad that you know what I mean and don't want to waste money," the old man said as a smile crept

onto his lips.

He was more than pleased to hear those words from his young master. That proved that the young

master was not completely blind at least. As a member of the Golden Leopard Valley, he was happy to

have a smart and reasonable young master.

"Thirty thousand!" the young master called out.

"Hey, did you hear that? I was right! I knew that the young master of the Golden Leopard Valley would

not let his enemies go that easily!" someone said. The throng began to whisper again upon hearing the

young master's bid increase.

"Well, who will win this treasure? I'm quite looking forward to the final result,"

some warriors said in an expectant tone as they stared toward the two privates rooms. They were

demi-immortals, so they were not fools. They believed that Ricky knew the young master was being

difficult with him on purpose.

Vito did not care what the issue between the two bidders was. He grew excited as soon as he heard

someone take part in the bidding.

His fat cheeks shivered a bit as a smile appeared on his face again.

"Ricky, did you hear that correctly? It seems that the other bidder is that man who messed with us

earlier," Soar said.

"Yes, I heard his voice too. He seems to be determined to find fault with us," Ricky said.

"Ricky, let's just give up! I know that the Devil-suppressing Jade is extremely precious. Now that the

Luxurious Chamber of Commerce has decided to sell it, I'm sure it must be severely damaged. It might

be useless anyway. I don't want you to waste money on it," Tina suggested.

"That man will never let us win the bidding so easily. He will surely raise the price if we bid again. We

are going to waste a large amount of money if we fall into his trap."

"Yes, I understand that. How about this? I will continue to bid a few more times. If he doesn't give up, I

will stop it and let him win the item," Ricky replied as he nodded.

"Forty thousand gold coins!" he then called out again before Soar and Tina could make an objection.

"Fifty thousand!" the young master said again without thinking twice upon hearing Ricky's voice.

"Sixty thousand!" Ricky called out again as he squinted his eyes in determination. Deep inside his

mind, he decided that, if the young master continued to compete with him, he would give up.

He would find a chance to take the Devil-suppressing Jade from him, either way!

Even if he did not attack the young master, the young master would come after him! Ricky was sure

about it. That was the moment when his chance would come.

"No, young master! You can't raise the price anymore! Making him pay sixty thousand gold coins to buy

the Devil-suppressing Jade is enough! You've already made him pay much more than the normal price.

What if he decides to give up if you raise the price this time? We will be damned if that happens," the

old man immediately said in a hurry and stopped the young master from behaving recklessly.

The young master stopped before he blurted out his next bid for everyone to hear.

He stopped himself from bidding not because he was afraid of the old man. He feared that if Ricky

really gave up the bidding, then he would have to buy the Devil-suppressing Jade at the price of more

than sixty thousand gold coins. If that happened, then he would have no more money to bid for the two

treasures his father wanted. He would consequently be punished by his father for his failure.

His father did not like him very much. If he could not bring the treasures his father wanted back

successfully, he would probably be deprived of being the young master of the Golden Leopard Valley.

That was something he could not afford to let happen.

"Humph! I'll just leave him alone for now!" he snorted coldly before he sat down again and continued to

play with the maid.

The old man felt very disappointed upon seeing the young master's behavior. Still, he sighed in relief to

himself at the same time. The young master was not too stubborn and knew what their priority was, at

least. If the young master insisted on bidding for the treasure and failed to complete their mission, his

master would definitely blame him even though he was not the main person who had made a mistake.

No one dared to call out a higher price again.

That was mainly because the Devil-suppressing Jade was broken and did not work well. Otherwise, the

warriors on the third floor would never let Ricky win it at the price of sixty thousand gold coins.

"It seems that he has given up," Soar commented.

"Their targets are actually the final treasures! He would never give up so easily otherwise," Ricky said.

"That is not so bad! At least we won the jade."

The auction went on.

Before long, a maid came to Ricky's room with a storage bag. The Devil-suppressing Jade was inside

the bag and it was as big as a fist.

"I'm sorry, miss. May I ask you a question? I'm wondering if I can pay the price with Treasures from

Heaven and Earth if I don't have enough gold coins on me," Ricky asked after he took the bag from the

maid with a smile.

Meanwhile, he also took out another storage bag and passed it to the maid. There were sixty thousand

gold coins in it.

"Of course. Almost any Treasures from Heaven and Earth can be used for payment. We will evaluate

their value fairly," the maid replied in a respectful manner.

"I got it. Thank you for letting me know." Ricky nodded.

"What are you going to do, Ricky?" Soar asked with curiosity after the maid exited the room.

"I want to bid for the last three treasures," Ricky replied with a smile.

"You sound so confident! You must have gained a lot of valuable things in the Fortune Land!" Soar

laughed in response.

Then, Ricky took out the jade from the storage bag.

The moment the Devil-suppressing Jade came out, all of them felt a mild and gentle aura emitting from

it. It was so soft that it could drive all the evil spiritual energy in the area away.

"So, this is the Devil-suppressing Jade, a treasure at the intermediate King Level," Ricky said as he

stared at the jade. He could see that there were many small cracks on the jade. Meanwhile, there was

also a different power that could be sensed in it. Clearly, the alien power was the one that had

damaged the jade.

"Tina, try it! Check if this works on you," Ricky suggested excitedly.

"Hopefully it will work on me! Otherwise, the sixty thousand gold coins you paid will be a waste," Tina

said with a smile.

Then, she reached out and took the jade. She put it against her chest to see if it would work.

In an instant, Ricky and Soar felt that some tiny evil spirit was released from Tina and absorbed by the

jade.

"Hey, check this out! It really does work! Although it only absorbs a little bit of evil spirit, I can take it

with me all the time. That way, it will dispel a lot of evil spirit from my body as time goes by," Tina Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

exclaimed in excitement upon feeling the evil spirit escaping from her.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Before her voice even faded, several crackling sounds were heard from the jade.
