Chapter 590 You Can't Hurt Me

CHAPTER 590 YOU CAN'T HURT ME

Clang!

The moment Henry's Five-element Quicksand Flower clashed with Ricky's Massacring Shield, the

whole Vitality Land was filled with an ear-splitting sound. From where they stood, strong air waves

could be seen reverberating simultaneously.

Due to the strong impact caused by the air ripples, Soar, Justin and all the other warriors who bore

witness to the ongoing fight between Henry and Ricky had to retreat quickly. The impact was not

powerful enough to harm them, but its force was definitely making them feel uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, the area where Ricky and Henry were fighting had completely been covered by the

seemingly endless ripples of air. Thus, none of the audience could see who had won. They had to wait

until the strong waves of air dispersed completely.

Despite that, all of the witnesses to the intense battle that took place found it difficult to tear their eyes

off the fighting area.

As the incessant ripples slowly subsided, the two warriors could finally be seen. It was only then that

they discovered Henry did not sustain any damage at all. It turned out that Ricky hadn't attacked him at

all. The former knew that Henry had the Sandy Mutant at his disposal, which could help him recover

from any form of injuries.

No matter how hard Ricky tried, he couldn't hurt Henry. Not even a scratch could be made. Thus, he

thought it would be better for him to concentrate on his defense.

Looking at how Ricky was left unscathed by Henry's immense attack, he proved that he had made the

right decision. His strong defense was what enabled him to stand in his position safely, firmly and still

brimming with energy. His Massacring Shield, which was in front of him, bore a few traces of light and

smoke. Other than that, it exhibited zero signs of any crack or scratch.

A golden light gleamed in Ricky's eyes and the Massacring Shield faded bit by bit.

"You didn't suffer the slightest injury!" Henry snarled. For what seemed like the first time for Henry, he

exhibited a bit of fury in his countenance.

However, Henry was experienced and smart enough not to allow his emotions to take control. He

naturally remained composed, even after the disappointing result of their earth-shaking collision.

"I've told you, haven't I? I can't beat you." Ricky's eyes shone with a little glint of victory. "But you can't

hurt me, either." Ricky made sure that his voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.

If only he could, Ricky really wanted to make Henry taste a humiliating defeat. But since they had very

little difference in strength, Ricky and his four zones would still be no match against Henry's Sandy

Mutant. It would be futile for him to exhaust all of his offensive strategies.

The only possible solution he could think of was to activate a zone dedicated to restraining quicksand

within his regained spiritual meridian. It seemed like an all-too perfect plan. Yet, to be able to achieve

that was akin to a child's daydream for Ricky.

"Do you really think that my Sandy Mutant can't hurt you?" Reluctantly, Henry grumbled in an effort to

suppress his annoyance. There was a sudden change in his mood after Henry was at the receiving end

of Ricky's arrogance.

Ricky was definitely his well-matched adversary. Henry already knew that they were destined to be

enemies. It was written all over the atmosphere of their ongoing battle. Knowing all this, Henry made up

his mind to end Ricky's life while he currently still had the upper hand.

If he were to let this opportunity slip, Henry could only imagine how even more formidable an ace

genius like Ricky could become when he became a full-fledged warrior.

"Henry, is your Sandy Mutant just a useless prop?" Justin's taunting voice abruptly interrupted the two

enemies. He was blatantly doing it on purpose to provoke Henry and push him to slay Ricky.

He had truly hoped that Henry would win. Ricky's defeat would mean the four Glazed Fruits would

finally be theirs for the taking. On the other hand, it was too late when Justin realized he had gone too

far with the words he said just now.

"I know what I should do," Henry spat back. "Justin, you are not qualified to judge me. Remember, the

promise I made earlier was a way for me to show my respect to you, a young master and to the entire

Bing Clan. How dare you talk to me in a commanding tone! You should never dare do that again;

because even the grandmaster of your Bing Clan is still in no position to order me around like that."

Justin's condescending tone was the trigger that set off Henry's self-control. He hissed coldly and

angrily at Justin's rude demeanor.

Justin choked. As a young master of his clan, he was always well-respected and followed by the

people around him. Never in his life had he ever been hissed at like this. He felt extremely humiliated

that his eyes were downcast and shook uncontrollably.

Engaging in a heated debate followed by a head-smashing fist fight seemed like the best way for Justin

to get rid of the anger that crippled his fair judgment. At the same time, he also feared the possibility of

Henry leaving them defenseless in the midst of their feud with Ricky and his companions. Heck, if he

were Henry, he would have never had the intention of keeping his promise right from the start.

He knew that Henry was the type people would count on to always keep his promises. He decided to

hold back and bit his tongue to keep himself from uttering anything more provocative.

'Henry, I will take and swallow wholly the humiliation you have given me this time. But, the moment we

all get out of the Virulent Sand Flow, I swear I will end your pathetic life!' Justin thought furiously.

Henry then ignored Justin after he saw that the latter had kept his mouth shut.

Right off the bat, Henry actually never thought highly of Justin. Once he was convinced and relieved

that he would not hear from Justin for a good number of minutes, he turned his attention to Ricky once

again.

"If you are not willing to accept such a distasteful truth, then you can try your luck again next time!"

Ricky uttered casually the moment he sensed Henry's resistance.

"Of course, I am not willing to!" Henry quickly retorted. In an instant, his inner power blew up once

again.

"Is that so? Allow me then to mimic your attack style and make you taste your own medicine!" Ricky

stubbornly refused to show Henry any sign of mercy or hesitation.

The Sandy Mutant that successfully blocked all his attacks really annoyed him to the core.

"Oh?" Henry raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure about that?" He was a little surprised to hear Ricky's

decisive declaration.

"Well, you'll never know after we fight again!" Ricky laughed. He was aware that Henry just tried to

make him doubt his decisions. It didn't work, though.

"Unfortunately, I won't try the same skill again. This time, I'll make sure this attack will crush your

golden body right here, right now." Henry looked at Ricky sharply.

The former could no longer contain his outrage. Even after he had activated his Sandy Mutant, he was

still unable to hurt his opponent. They shared the same strength, for crying out loud! This was the first

time that his invincible Sandy Mutant became the subject of a very disconcerting turn of events.

"Sandy Mutant—Thousand Waves of Quicksand!"

Henry roared and his voice echoed with belittling fury. Before everyone could register what happened

next, his Sandy Mutant exploded and transformed into quicksand. The quicksand swept through the

area like a tidal wave.

An even stronger burying force settled above the quicksand. It was not as strong as the one in the

Virulent Sand Flow. Its strength had just the right power to threaten Ricky's safety and victory.

If he were to allow himself to be overwhelmed by the massive waves of quicksand and the strong,

burying power that Henry had created, then Ricky would end up making himself vulnerable to the

dangerous attacks of his opponent.

"Is this the Sandy Mutant's deadliest skill?" Ricky calmly commented as he watched the sand particles

surround their makeshift battlefield.

It was a good thing that Ricky had earlier figured out the secret behind the Sandy Mutant's deadly

skills. Its burying force could not compare to those in the Virulent Sand Flow.

"Well, next, let me show you what is 'fight fire with fire.' I'll use the same trick you have used on me to

defeat you!" Ricky's tone was starting to feel indifferent.

As a counterattack, the devouring runes took over Ricky's entire body and meanwhile, he also

communicated with his Devourer Zone using his mind.

Before the massive waves of quicksand swept over him, Ricky transformed himself into the Devouring

Storm quickly.

Unlike before, the Devouring Storm was not used for attacks. Instead, he activated it to avoid being

touched or harmed by the quicksand. This was the reason why Ricky had mysteriously communicated

with his Devourer Zone.

With a loud, crushing sound, Henry's endless quicksand that bore a wicked burying force, poured down

and drowned the Devouring Storm.

Everybody in the audience thought it was already the end for Ricky.

They were wrong. Ricky's Devouring Storm appeared, floating above them.

Everyone was baffled. What really happened was that before the quicksand touched and drowned the

Devouring Storm, Ricky went directly into the Devourer Zone and came out from another rip in space.

The move was so advanced, and it was another incredible manifestation of Ricky's four zones.

Ricky had earned the Omnipotent Skill—one that had been obtained from the four zones. The

Omnipotent Skill let the user enter his zones directly and be released in another space.

Of course, Ricky could choose to hide in his zones and not come out until the end of the fight.

But, today was not the perfect time for that. In order for him to deceive the public and convince

everyone that he had uncovered another new stunning skill, he left his zone immediately. This is the property of Nô-velDrama.Org.

"How is that possible?" That was the unified and bewildered thought that Justin, Terrence, Madeline

and the rest of the Bing Clan had. It was a challenge to keep their jaws from dangling wide open after

what they had just witnessed.

Only Soar, who regarded Ricky as his elder brother, understood a little bit of Ricky's skill. He was the

only one who was not surprised.

The shock left the rest of the audience more eager to guess what was about to transpire next.

Henry did not launch another wave of attack after Ricky exhibited his so-called newfound skill. The

audience began to notice that the massive waves of quicksand were gradually receding.
