CHAPTER 938 BRAD'S ATTACK
"It seems that you're not willing to accept that, my old friends?" Norris said darkly. He was not surprised
to see Todd, Wilbur, and the Old Oriental Emperor, with angry expressions.
As a matter of fact, he was actually deliberately provoking them, for he had no other reasons to impose
that condition besides to prick their inflated egos. As a spiritual emperor himself, he knew the pride of
one too well.
Norris believed that these three might temporarily work with him, but they would never surrender to him
and be fully loyal to him. They would constantly look for any chance they could to kill him, and he would
need to sleep with his one eye open. In the future, it would be highly possible for them to break through
and become middle spiritual emperors too. If that happened, they would be on par with him, and they
could defeat him if they banded together.
And so, it would be stupid to let them go. It would be like taking in a feral dog that would bite the hand Content provided by .
that fed it without any second thought. This was why, from the very beginning, Norris had planned to kill
the Old Oriental Emperor, Wilbur, and Todd.
"Don't overestimate yourself!"
Boom! As Norris spoke, he let go of the limits on his strength and instantly gave off his momentum as a
middle spiritual emperor.
With the effect of the nether ruling power, the entire void had evolved into his domain, and all the
spiritual emperors and disciples around would have only one thought—'Surrender to him.".
Fortunately for others, Norris' ruling power only targeted three people—Todd, Wilbur, and the Old
Oriental Emperor. Otherwise, all the disciples on the airships would have turned into dust.
"Go!" the Old Oriental Emperor and the other two bellowed with one voice. Their Ruling Worlds merged
into one in an instant, and they all burst out their most powerful skills, which rushed to Norris at the
same time.
"Now, let me show you how a real middle spiritual emperor fights!" Norris' voice echoed in a sinister
tone, and he didn't even flinch when the merged strongest attacks came for him.
Instead, he clapped his hands, and the dense evil spirit ruling power around him formed into the shape
of a python.
He integrated with the python-shaped evil spirit ruling power. When he and the evil spirit were united,
the shadow of a ferocious devil showed up.
"I wonder if they can work together to manage to resist the attack," Jasper said in a low voice. "In my
opinion, Norris seems to be a real devil."
"I agree with you. I wonder how members of the Nether Manor could cultivate evil spirit to such a high
extent," Ricky said seriously, echoing Jasper's thoughts.
Boom! In the next moment, the attacks of the two sides collided against each other.
The collision between spiritual emperors would involve an explosion that could tear everything to
shreds. But with the huge gap between their strengths, this collision ended very quickly. The Oriental
Emperor, Todd, and Wilbur held up only for a short while before they were completely defeated by
Norris.
The three of them were struck by the python-shaped evil spirit ruling power, and it pierced through their
flesh like it was paper. They all landed heavily on the dirt, and mouthfuls of blood spilled into the dust.
Their vital energy and strength got weaker and weaker with each second that passed.
As they steadied themselves, they sat in the void with legs crossed and began to regulate their breaths.
At that moment, even though they were spiritual emperors, they were at the mercy of their opponent.
The injuries they suffered were life-threatening, and their breaths could stop at the drop of a hat.
'The blood essence of three powerful warriors who are about to become middle spiritual emperors is
enough to help me move a step forward, ' Norris thought excitedly.
He could have easily killed his three opponents with that last attack, but he decided to spare them. And
it was not because he pitied them, but because he had a more useful end for them in mind.
There was an air of grief and despair outside the void, where other spiritual emperors and disciples
from forces including the Oriental College and the Casting Center were gathered. Their hearts were
breaking, as they watched their leaders be toyed with like common warriors.
They all knew that from this moment on, the Eastern Land would be overcome by a new era—an era
filled with darkness and violence.
"Guys, we are old friends. I won't kill you even when you are stubbornly opposing me. Please pay a
visit to my palace now," Norris said to the Old Oriental Emperor, Todd, and Wilbur.
Despite his words, he wasn't planning on letting them go. In fact, he was about to show them into his
spiritual space tool.
"Tina, how much power does Doris' mutant still have?" Ricky asked anxiously in a low voice.
"Ricky, the mutant is not as powerful as a middle spiritual emperor, and its power can't last long," Tina
warned him. They had known each other for a long time, and by now, Tina could tell what Ricky was
thinking of. "It's because when Doris left, she didn't expect a middle spiritual emperor to appear in the
Eastern Land."
"Well, it seems that we can only rely on the Evil Mandragora now," Ricky said with gritted teeth. Once
again, he had a solution in mind, one that was risky and could very much lead to their deaths just as it
could save them.
Tina didn't say anything more because she knew Ricky too well. In his mind, he had no other options.
Even though he would face severe consequences, he had to save the Old Oriental Emperor and the
others.
"Have you decided yet?" the Evil Mandragora asked him telepathically. "I can send you away from
here, while nobody could find out I use the real evil spirit. But once I act against Norris, my real evil
spirit will be found out, and everything that has happened here would be known by all creatures, even
those that aren't here. I'm afraid that all the powerful spiritual emperors in the whole Misty South would
then realize that you're working with evil beings."
"If that's what they want to think, that's their problem. I don't care. I only know that I can't leave them
behind," Ricky said seriously.
"I am beginning to admire your courage. You are a righteous man, but I don't agree with your sense of
justice all the time. After all, this is a martial world where the law of the jungle prevails," the Evil
Mandragora commented when she heard Ricky's answer.
"It has nothing to do with justice. I just can't abandon my friends on my path of martial arts," Ricky
answered again. This time, the Evil Mandragora stayed silent and surrendered to Ricky's stubborn will.
She turned away from him and got ready to fight Norris.
Whoosh!
Scarlet sword shadows suddenly materialized all over the void. A black figure stood behind each of
these scarlet sword shadows.
In a flash, these countless scarlet sword shadows merged into a bloody giant sword, and the figures
behind them merged as well. It was Brad, the top leader of Endless Shadow.
Bang! Wrapped by strong blood killing power, Brad's sword dashed towards Norris.
Despite all his power, the attack took Norris by surprise. And while he was in a daze, his counterattack
was greatly weakened.
As a result, Norris was stabbed by the sudden attack of the sword. A deep bloodstain that reeked of
blood killing power was left on his chest, and it was so soaked in power that it would take some time
before it was fully cleansed.
The spectators in the void were surprised at this development, and a ray of hope peaked in their little
heads. They were initially confused since they thought that Brad and Norris were allies, but they
rejoiced too, now that their enemies were fighting among themselves.
A deep silence reigned in the void, but it was soon broken by Brad. He shook his head and said, "No
wonder you're a middle spiritual emperor. Even with my sudden attack, you weren't fatally injured."
There was a grimace of frustration on his face. He had only tolerated Norris because he was waiting for
an opportunity to attack him by surprise.
But unfortunately, he still failed, which once again proved the great power of a middle spiritual emperor.
And now that he had lost the element of surprise, he was at a great disadvantage.
