CHAPTER 467 PRACTICING HARDER TO GROW STRONG
Ricky was happy that Soar complained for him. He decided to share what he had done to the Pounding
Skills he gave to Pearl. Judging by the grin on his face, it was easy to tell that he had done something
really tricky.
"What exactly do you mean, Ricky? We don't get it," Soar asked in surprise as he exchanged looks
with Tina. It was obvious that she was also quite confused.
"They are my skills and of course I know them very well. When I wrote them down on the pieces of
paper, I changed some of the contents deliberately," Ricky explained.
"The changes I did could be hardly detected. Even a casting master at the advanced stage of the Spirit
Level would have trouble recognizing them."
"Wow! That is very surprising!" Soar and Tina both exclaimed in shock as they learned about what he
did. Surprise seized them for a long time before they were able to calm down.
"Ricky, let me just ask you this one thing. Did you anticipate that the Luxurious Chamber of Commerce
was not trustworthy to begin with?" Soar asked in curiosity.
"No, my dear friend, of course not. It just that my gut feeling told me to make some random changes to
prevent terrible things from happening," Ricky replied. "If they decide to keep their word and behave
virtuously, I would tell them about what I did later when I get the chance.
But you've seen what they did. They sent killers to hunt and reacquire the treasures they auctioned off,
which indicates that I should never really tell them anything. All they have are two incorrect Pounding
Skills."
A glint of cruelty appeared in his eyes as he stated. He was no longer the same innocent young man
after all the terrible things that had happened to him. Betrayal had taught him to stay on guard at all
times.
In this jungle of a world, you had to be crueler than your enemies to overcome them. Showing mercy to
them meant committing suicide. Ricky had learned this lesson after everything he went through.
"You know what? I'm starting to admire you more and more," Soar sighed.
Ricky was courageous and smart. He was also a genius in his cultivation. Apart from that, he was
strong-willed and was always determined to achieve his goals. Soar liked his character and was
beginning to admire him a lot more.
"How much are the revised Pounding Skills worth then?" Curiosity drove Soar to ask once again.
"Since they could only be used by a casting master at the intermediate stage of the Spirit Level, their
value should be very little compared to their original versions," Ricky replied as he laughed.
"According to my past experiences, they could be worth about four million gold coins at the most. I'm
very curious about how the Luxurious Chamber of Commerce would react once they realize it." Soar
couldn't help but laugh as well.
Tina stared at Ricky with her eyes unmoved. There was an apparent sign of affection in her beautiful
eyes. This young man standing in front of her really was a thoughtful man. He would always think about
every possibility and make preparations accordingly. Apart from that, he was also far-sighted and
ambitious! He was a true genius and a very strong man.
The more time she spent with him, the more she felt that Ricky was in fact her Mr. Right.
The Scar King, on the other hand, could not catch up with what they were talking about. All that he was
able to figure out was that they had set a trap for the Luxurious Chamber of Commerce and that they
were completely clueless about it.
'They are just a lower spiritual king and two demi-immortals! They just set a trap for the Luxurious
Chamber of Commerce! Are they really that capable?' the Scar King thought to himself. 'Not to mention
that there is a very strong warrior helping them and that strong warrior knows about the bonding
contract! Where on earth did they come from?
She even made it by manipulating her spirited hologram with ease! She is definitely way more powerful
than I could imagine.' owns this text.
Right at that time, Ricky took out the spear from his zone and handed it to Soar.
"Soar, you can refine it until you fully develop your connection with it! When you can communicate with
it through telepathy, it will belong to you completely," Ricky said.
"Thank you!" Soar exclaimed in excitement.
He then accepted the spear and drove his mind into it. He released the Heaven Melting Fire to resist
the ferocious power being emitted by the spear. Normally, a treasure like the spear would have the
ability to think though it was just an object. This meant that it could resist anyone who tried to refine it.
After a while, Soar opened his eyes and said happily, "Ricky, I like its name! It's called the Heaven-
splitting Spear!"
"That was quick! I'm glad you like it!" Ricky said as he nodded his head.
He then transferred Soar to another place in the Chaotic Fire Zone so that he would have a quieter
environment to refine the spear more easily.
"Scar, you can go back to the organization you belong to next. If the Luxurious Chamber of Commerce
asks you about our whereabouts, you can tell them everything that had happened except the part
about the bonding contract that we have between us," Ricky then turned to Scar and said.
"If you have other concerns, you can always contact me via the bonding contract."
"Yes, I completely understand," Scar replied.
Ricky then let Scar get out of the zone the moment they arrived at a safe place. He was not afraid that
Scar would betray him thanks to the bonding contract. Without a doubt, Scar would also pay attention
to his own safety at all times.
"Tina, I will concentrate on refining the egg for the next month. I would have to leave you alone in the
Chaotic Fire Zone," he then said to Tina with a worried look.
"Yes. You don't need to worry about me. It doesn't matter if I'm alone or not. I am an adaptive person
and I can protect myself," Tina said with a smile.
Ricky then took Tina to the place in the Massacring Zone where he put the egg. However, Tina had no
idea that they had just arrived at the Massacring Zone.
She knew that the Chaotic Fire Zone was a large space and was controlled by Ricky. He could virtually
take her anywhere.
"What is this, Ricky?" she asked curiously as she saw the Source of Golden Body.
"This is a body refining method that I am currently practicing. It is my current source of power for
refinement," Ricky explained.
"It looks so sophisticated! You must be practicing some really powerful method," Tina whispered.
"I will lock myself here to practice for the entire month. If I don't wake up after that, you can come here
and knock at it. I can assure you that I will feel it," Ricky said.
He did not want to miss the selection competition of the Oriental College because of the refinement. So
he asked Tina to do him this small favor of making sure he got to attend.
"Yes, I understand. I will keep that in mind," Tina responded as she nodded her head.
She then released the airship from her body and got inside to get some rest. There was strong evil
spirit and powerful arrays on her body which stopped her from making greater achievements. That was
why she was still only a demi-immortal after everything that had happened.
Unless the evil spirit was expelled, she wouldn't be able to proceed with her improvement. She would
suffer terrible consequences if she skipped this step and forced herself to break through.
Ricky, on the other hand, also entered the space in the Source of Golden Body. His own body and the
golden body merged into one as he started with his cultivation.
Ricky had two objectives. The first one was that he wanted to improve himself to the highest level of
the demi-immortal. The other one was that he was determined to refine the egg and successfully
extend his golden body to the first level of Ultimate Golden Body.
He did all of this in order to prepare himself in becoming an innate spirit.
He had hesitated to improve his combat power to the Innate Spirit Level in the past. But recently, he
finally made up his mind to do this once and for all! Considering the fact that he had already reached
the peak of the Nine-degree Body Refining Formula, he was confident that he could make it this time.
What was more, he owned three types of runic power! If he could not do this with so many advantages,
it would only be a waste for him to own a regained spiritual meridian.
'I will soon gain the combat power at the Innate Spirit Level!' He hunkered down and grew excited at
the thought of getting stronger before he started his cultivation.
He had turned into a very weak warrior when his spiritual meridian was destroyed. But now, he was a
demi-immortal. Countless surprising and lucky accidents happened to him. He had suffered from so
much that he also underwent multiple changes to get to where he was now.
When the excitement faded, Ricky was able to calm down. He then took a deep breath and was ready
to start the cultivation.
Before he proceeded with his next step, there was one more thing that he had to do.
He must deal with the after-effects he gained while he was in the Fortune Land.
Without any hesitation, he took out the last Regenerating Grass he had.
He was going to use the grass to cure himself completely. It was a little bit wasteful to consume a
Regenerating Grass to help him recover. But it was necessary in order to prepare himself well and to
make sure that he would improve his combat power to the Innate Spirit Level.
