Daganzo nodded.
“Shall we go to it?”
Furano and Alton nodded; they rode their flying broomsticks and landed before the Phoenix, as did the Researcher and Scout leaders. They then walked towards the gigantic Phoenix leader automaton stood with both its wings and legs. The Phoenix looked at them confusedly.
“Do you all know the First Wizard?”
The five looked at each other with confused expressions. The Researcher leader turned to the Phoenix.
“Sorry, but we don’t know him.”
The Phoenix looked at them confusedly. Furano’s expression turned curious.
“How can you speak and understand human language?”
The Phoenix watched Furano curiously.
“Hard to believe isn’t it? I learned it from humans myself.”
Furano was surprised; her expression then turned curious. The Phoenix continued speaking.
“My memories finally returned to the magic core which was my artificial soul.”
The five were surprised. The Researcher leader’s expression turned curious.
“Is that possible? The First Wizards said that if he did not succeed in saving the Phoenix’s soul and the Phoenix automaton that was become its artificial body did have the Phoenix’s power, but was still nothing more than a dangerous machine.”
The Phoenix replied.
“I did feel different this time I was summoned. Did you all do anything different from what he did?”
The five nodded. The Phoenix continued speaking.
“Due to the failure of creating the Phoenix Resurrection magic spell, my memories became separated in different part of Dimensional Magic.”
The five’s expression turned confused. The Researcher leader’s expression turned curious.
“Dimensional magic has many things we don’t know yet. It’s hard to believe that only one person who created it.”
The Phoenix replied.
“It was the First Wizard who created the Dimensional Magic.”
Furano’s expression turned curious.
“You keep mentioning the First Wizard, may we know his name?”
The Phoenix nodded.
“His name is....”
For some reason, the Phoenix then looked confused.
“I can’t remember his name... it seems because not all of my memories have come back.”
Furano nodded. Behind his mask, Daganzo’s expression turned curious.
“Can you tell us what really happened?”
The Phoenix turned to Daganzo.
“Of course, I’ll tell you what I remember.”
The five were surprised, and they didn’t expect it. The Phoenix continued speaking.
“The First Wizard and I are friends. From what I remember, I have known him for a long time. As far as I know, he was the first person who could control magic, and was a very powerful wizard. One day, he asked me to help him fight a threat that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.”
The expressions of the five turned increasingly curious. The Researcher leader’s expression turned confused.
“A threat that suddenly appeared out of nowhere? Can you explain it in more detail?”
The Phoenix nodded but then fell silent and looked confused.
“Unfortunately, I can’t remember what that is. I only remember that this threat was very powerful and had the potential to cause fatal destruction.”
The Researcher leader looked increasingly curious.
“Is the origin of the threat unknown?”
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The Phoenix answered.
“The First Wizard tried to investigate it, until he finally reached the point where he had to fight this threat. I was dying while helping him fight that very powerful threat, so powerful that even the First Wizard couldn’t defeat it. That threat...I can’t remember...it seems like only a small part of my memory is coming back.”
The Scout leader’s expression turned curious.
“Has the threat been defeated?”
The Phoenix looked confused.
“That part, I don’t remember either. I only remember that after that battle that left me dying, the First Wizard tried to save my life using the Dimensional magic. But the results were not as expected.”
The Scout leader was slightly surprised; he then nodded as he thought.
“It turns out the First Wizard wasn’t trying to control the Phoenix’s power...”
The Phoenix appeared to realize something.
“I remember The First Wizard had a message he wanted to leave to the wizards after him.”
The five were surprised; their expressions then turned curious. The Phoenix continued speaking.
“The message from the First Wizard was: Beware of...”
The Phoenix stopped its words, and it looked confused again.
“Unfortunately, I don’t remember the next part of that message….”
The five looked disappointed. The Phoenix continued speaking.
“It seems that when the First Wizard failed to perform the Phoenix Resurrection Ritual Magic perfectly, my memory fragments failed to enter the magic core, and were stored in a different part of the Dimensional Magic. When you three try to recreate it, these memories come back to me. But even so, from the start, not all of my memories from when I was alive came back.”
The five nodded. The Phoenix looked around and appeared to realize something.
“Soon, you all will see the true form of Dimensional Magic.”
The five’s expression turned curious.
Not long after, the Magic Circle floating above the Phoenix turned into a portal. They could see a view of outer space filled with stars and golden streams of light from behind the portal. The five were surprised to see the portal; the Researcher leader’s expression turned curious.
“The portal contains a view of the outer space?”
The Phoenix shook its head.
“Not view of the outer space. It is a new universe created from Dimensional Magic. But that universe is not perfect and is much smaller.”
The five were surprised. The Researcher leader’s expression turned astonished.
“How powerful is Dimensional Magic exactly? How is that possible?”
The Phoenix shook his head.
“Unfortunately, that’s all I know.”
The five’s expressions turned curious. The Phoenix momentarily observed the portal above, then looked back at the five.
“For now, my time will soon end....”
The five watched the Phoenix with curious and amazed expressions. The grains of light that came out from within the Phoenix and its magic core ended. The glowing patterns all over the Phoenix’s body then gradually dimmed until finally, it went out, and the magic core in its chest gradually dimmed and then turned black. The Phoenix sat with its body supported by its wings, its head bowed and no longer moving.
All the grains of light that floated from within the Phoenix’s body entered the portal near the hangar ceiling. This portal then closed and turned back into a glowing magic circle. The magic circle dimmed and gradually disappeared until it finally disappeared completely. They froze in their places with amazed expressions. Daganzo, Researcher leader, and Scout leader walked closer to the Phoenix automaton leader and examined it curiously. The Researcher leader’s expression turned astonished.
“This Phoenix leader automaton doesn’t have a Magic Core controlling it anymore.”
Not long after, an expansive black panel appeared above the Phoenix’s body, and its lower surface faced it. Furano looked at the wizards around her and immediately realized she was the only one who could see that black panel. Furano looked at the black panel with an astonished expression as she thought.
“Why does an expansive system panel appear....”
Furano’s expression turned curious.
Not long after, the gigantic Phoenix leader automaton body gradually shattered into grains of light. These grains of light float up and into the black panel above. Alton’s expression turned curious.
“It seems that the Phoenix leader automaton will also disappear?”
The Researcher leader’s expression turned astonished.
“Even though this Phoenix leader automaton’s body is not part of dimensional magic, why its still affected by it….”
Apart from Furano, other wizards thought that what happened to the Phoenix leader automaton was because of dimensional magic. Daganzo, Researcher leader, and Scout leader observed the Phoenix leader automaton body and examined it curiously. Furano turned to Alton beside her and watched him curiously.
“Can I ask you something, Alton?”
Alton turned to Furano; his expression turned curious.
“Of course, Furano.”
Furano watched Alton curiously.
“May I know why you love someone?”
Alton smiled.
“Having someone I love makes me feel like I have somewhere as destination, keeps me cheered up and doesn’t give up. I also feel like there will be someone to look after me. And also other things.”
Furano smiled.
“Do you love me?”
Alton was surprised; he then smiled.
“Don’t you already know the answer?”
Furano smiled.
“I want you to say it again.”
Alton watched Furano curiously; he then smiled gently.
“I fall in love with you, Furano.”
Furano was surprised; she then smiled. They then observed the Phoenix together.
Not long after, a light resembling a flare larger in size than other grains of light floated from the Phoenix’s body, then flew towards Furano and stopped before her. “Ding!” a sound similar to a smartphone notification was sounded, followed by the appearance of a black panel with white writing next to this light:
[Phoenix leader automaton tamered (in cooperation with Alton and Daganzo)]
[XP Gained: 2000]
[Close]
Furano read this black panel curiously.
“Tamering that Phoenix gave me a lot of XP.”
Not long after, another black panel appeared with white writing:
[System Message]
[Congratulations, you just leveled up from level 10 to level 12]
[Close]
Furano watched these two panels with a curious expression as she thought.
“That much XP made me immediately go up two levels….”
Furano touched the [Close] writing on the two black panels before her; these panels then vanished. Not long after, several other black panels appeared near Furano:
