Alton’s attention, which focused on the book, then turned to Furano.
“Furano? I’m fine, thank you. How about you?”
Furano smiled.
“I am fine, too.”
Alton smiled, then nodded. Furano watched Alton curiously.
“What book are you reading?”
Alton was slightly surprised; he then read the book’s cover.
“This book? This is a City Guide book.”
Furano’s expression turned curious. Alton smiled awkwardly.
“I’m curious about what’s in this city, maybe I’ll take a tour around the city.”
Furano smiled.
“Good idea Alton, just enjoy your time here.”
Furano appeared to realize something.
“You haven’t ordered food yet?”
Alton smiled; he closed the book and then put it back on the table.
“I wanted to, but I thought it would be better to wait for you.”
Not long after, Alton’s stomach could be heard rumbling, but he still maintained his position and looked at Furano while smiling, making Furano look at him with a slightly surprised expression. Alton said.
“To be honest, I’m very hungry. Let’s order food now.”
Furano smiled and nodded. They took the menu book on the table and read it. Furano called the cafe waiter, who then greeted them friendly and took their orders.
Sometime later, their order was ready and delivered to their table. Furano ordered a glass of tea and a piece of cake, while Alton ordered a wider variety of food. While eating their food, they chatted. Furano expression turned curious.
“I’m curious, how did you get here? Are you from Scout Division?”
Alton was surprised; he then smiled awkwardly.
“Yes of course. Even though I don’t look like it, I’m actually a member of the Scout Division of Second Earth.”
Furano nodded, her expression turning curious.
“Regarding the Second Earth, may I know what it is like?”
Alton was surprised; his expression turned slightly disturbed, but he quickly hid it with a smile. Furano looked at Alton with a curious expression.
“Are you okay?”
Alton nodded and smiled.
“Of course, Second Earth is no less beautiful than First Earth. It’s just that, the event in history of Second Earth is not the same as that on First Earth.”
Furano was slightly surprised; her expression then turned curious.
“Maybe because since the beginning humans and wizards that living on every Earths were different people?”
Alton’s expression turned curious.
“Yes, I just realized that now.”
Alton was surprised; he appeared to remember something.
“By the way, how the Third Earth like?”
Furano was slightly surprised, then smiled.
“Instead of telling, I’ll take you there to see it for yourself,”
Alton was surprised; he then smiled and nodded. Furano appeared to realize something.
“What is the obstacle for you returning to Second Earth?”
Stolen story; please report.
Alton’s expression turned doubtful.
“At first, I came to First Earth after passing through a dimensional gate and arrived in England. There was nothing strange when I passed through the gate several times and arrived in there as usual, until finally the dimensional gate I usually go through make me arrived to this city. I was surprised when I arrived at different place after going through the gate. When I tried to re-enter the gate to return to Second Earth, the gate behind me had disappeared, and here I am now. While I was looking for a solution, I was chased by the wizards from First Earth.”
Furano was slightly surprised.
“I just found out that something like that could happen?”
Alton appeared to realize something.
“Have you ever experienced that?”
Furano shook her head.
“Never; the dimensional gate that I usually go through always makes me arrive at the same place until now. But something like that might happen to me.”
Alton nodded. Furano continued speaking.
“That means all we can do is try going back to Dimensional Gate you ussualy go thtrough, and check to see if it’s still working.”
Alton was surprised.
“We? You want to help me again?”
Furano was slightly surprised, then smiled.
“Of course, because I am also investigating about the multiverse, so this unusual occurrence might provide a clue.”
Alton smiled, then nodded. Furano’s expression turned curious.
“Regarding the results of our investigation about the Multiverse, are you willing for us to share what we knew?”
Alton’s expression turned curious as he continued breakfast.
“Of course, let’s discuss it.”
Furano smiled, then nodded.
“Okay, let’s start with me. When I came here, one of the things that first made me wonder was the cause of the connection between our Earths in the multivese, which turned out to be due to an artifact discovered by the Wizards Government of Spain, the Book of Dimensional Magic. We have tried to investigate, and there are no such book on Third Earth. How about you?”
Alton shook his head.
“I haven’t heard of anything about that kind of book on Second Earth either, although the search continues.”
Furano’s expression turned curious.
“The next thing I knew was that the humans and wizards on First Earth were different from those on Third Earth. Although we think that the Multiverse is a place where other versions of ourselves exist.”
Alton was surprised.
“I also just knew it. Even though at first I was curious to find another version of myself here, hahaha.”
Alton laughed casually. Furano smiled.
“That’s all I know. How about you?”
Alton stopped eating momentarily.
“From what I know, for some reason the Wizards of First Earth doesn’t seem to really be able to control the magic from the Book of Dimensional Magic. I mean, if they’re that worried about the threat from Second Earth, why not just cancel the magic spell?”
Furano nodded.
“You’re right, there are still many things we don’t understand about Dimensional Magic. If only they had cooperated, this investigation would have been easier to carry out.”
Alton smiled, then nodded. Furano appeared to remember something; she took out a copy of the Book of Dimensional Magic and then showed it to Alton.
“Actually, I managed to get my hands on a copy of that book.”
Alton was surprised; he then took the book from Furano, surprising her slightly. Alton paid close attention to this book.
“So this is the book?”
Alton appeared to realize something.
“What do you mean that book copy?”
Furano nodded.
“Exactly as you heard. For more details, you can read the guide in that book.”
Alton’s expression turned curious; he then skimmed the book copy in his hand.
“You’re right…. Somehow, the magic in this book has conditions that must be met for the magic to be worked.”
Furano nodded.
“I was planning to do experiments with the magic in that book, but we’d better look elsewhere.”
Alton nodded, his expression turned curious.
“Good idea. But may I know how you can get a copy of that book? A book like this obviously can’t be found just anywhere.”
Furano nodded.
“I got it after infiltrating the wizards Government of Spain central building.”
Alton was surprised.
“Infiltrating where?”
Furano smiled.
“I was just going to tell you.”
Alton nodded and then returned the book copy to Furano. Alton replied in a slightly whispered tone.
“The First Earth wizards will definitely try to find you.”
Furano’s expression turned deadpan.
“Right, but in any case, we need to get this book and help understand the causes of the emergence of dimensional gates, and help each other overcome them, right?”
Alton was surprised; he then smiled.
“You’re right; I just realized that possibility.”
Furano nodded and continued her breakfast. Alton smiled gently; he put his right elbow on the table and propped his right cheek with his right hand while watching Furano. Furano turned towards Alton with a slightly astonished expression.
“You want to say something?”
Alton smiled.
“You can let me be and continue your breakfast.”
Furano smiled and resumed her breakfast.
The time is 9:00 am. Furano and Alton walked along the sidewalk, then turned into a quiet alley between buildings. Furano paid attention to their surroundings and ensured the situation was safe.
“After I get this book from the wizards of First Earth, they will probably be more alert and patrol many places. We will process it further carefully.”
Alton nodded, took out his sheathed soul dagger from his waist bag, and swung it.
“Come, Dragon Wings.”
Not long after, Alton’s flying broomstick came from above and hovered beside him. Furano pulled out her cloak, a holstered handgun of spellcaster that attached to a baldric, and a broomstick from inside the black panel. Furano then let her broomstick hover beside her. Alton was surprised and watched Furano curiously.
“Amazing magic, those items can suddenly appear from grains of light.”
Furano was surprised as she thought.
“Is that what he see? I guess its because other people can’t see the system panel….”
Furano smiled.
“Yes, that is so.”
Furano then wore her baldric and cloak as usual. Alton looked at Furano again curiously.
“The cloak is a very useful magical item, making their detection devices not work on us.”
Furano was surprised and turned to Alton; she then smiled.
“Right, this cloak even also has other functions.”
Alton’s expression turned curious; he then nodded. They got on their broomsticks, then flew away from here vigilantly.
