Some of them were Daganzo’s comrades when he was not yet in the Scout Division. Daganzo greeted one of his comrades, walking in the opposite direction.
“Why Wizards Department of Defense work in large numbers?”
Daganzo’s male comrade stopped before him and smiled.
“Yes, it’s regarding the wizard who infiltrated this building before, a search will be carried out now, considering what dangers could arise from the use of the Book of Dimensional Magic, finding that wizard is the Defense Department’s first priority now.”
Daganzo was surprised; he remembered that Furano had given him a smartphone for communication, which he kept in the inner pocket of his overcoat, which he unconsciously held from outside his overcoat.
“I see... sorry I can’t be of much help.”
Daganzo's comrade smiled, then patted his shoulder.
“You can leave everything to us and just focus on your duties as a member of the Scout Division.”
Daganzo was surprised; he then smiled awkwardly. Daganzo’s comrade walked away from here, heading towards the entrance. Daganzo was momentarily silent in his place as he watched his comrade leave and then walk away.
Daganzo walked with his sword sheathed in the scabbard attached to the baldric around his waist and arrived before the elevator in the open hallway in the center of this building; he then pressed the elevator call button next to it. Daganzo realized that the elevator was still on another floor at the far bottom, so he decided to wait near the open hallway railing nearby. Daganzo put his left forearm and right elbow on the railing and propped his right cheek with his right hand as he thought.
“Should I just meet her….”
Daganzo was lost in thought, thinking about Furano. Not long after, the elevator he was waiting for arrived, and the elevator doors opened. Daganzo was still lost in thought and didn’t realize it until finally, the elevator door closed again and moved up. Sometime later, Daganzo was surprised and came to his senses; he immediately ran into the front of the elevator only to realize that the elevator had moved far to the upper floor. Daganzo’s expression turned deadpan; he drew his sword from its scabbard and pointed it to the side.
“Come, Eagle Feather.”
Daganzo flew on his broomstick in the center of this skyscraper and arrived at his destination on the 50th floor; he then got off his broomstick, which then flew away by itself. Daganzo is now in one of the open hallways of one of the buildings’ groups. Daganzo walked away as he looked around, and only a few people passed him. Daganzo passed a man passing by, wearing a suit covered with an overcoat, loafers, and carrying his sword sheathed in the scabbard attached to the baldric in his waist.
“Excuse me, are you also a Scout Division’s member?”
The man stopped in his tracks and then turned to Daganzo.
“Yes, I’ve never seen you on this floor before?”
Daganzo smiled.
“I just became a member of the Scout Division and today is my first time on duty.”
This man was surprised.
"Alright then, welcome to the Scout Division.”
Daganzo smiled and nodded. The man continued speaking.
“This floor is where all matters related to the Scout Division are carried out. Because you've just joined, it's best if you practice first using the copy of the Book of Dimensional Magic. There's a practice hall on this floor, you can practice there. I’ll excuse myself."
Daganzo nodded with a curious expression.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Thank you for your information.”
The man before Daganzo walked away. Daganzo looked around him curiously and then also walked away from here.
Daganzo walked down the corridor and passed one of the opened double doors; the rooms behind it were quiet offices with only a few people. Not long after, Daganzo arrived at wooden double doors with a metal board next to it that said "Training Hall," Daganzo's expression turned curious, and entered the room.
Inside the room is an empty, spacious hall with a high ceiling that combines two levels of this building and is decorated with beautiful carvings throughout the room. Daganzo walked to the many two-meters-high barrier walls spread around the center of the room, which had a wooden carved lectern for placing a book. Daganzo had only walked a few steps when he was startled by a voice from the entrance to the room behind him.
"You must be Daganzo?"
Daganzo was surprised, then looked back. A man in his 50s stood near the entrance, wearing a shirt, a waistcoat, an overcoat, loafers, and the Existence Sword sheathed in the scabbard attached to the baldric around his waist. His hair was styled neatly but elegantly and was turned gray in some parts. This man is Huelva, leader of the Scout Division. Daganzo looked at the man before him with an astonished expression as he thought.
“Since when has this man been behind me?”
Daganzo smiled.
“That’s right, I’m Daganzo Navalon, starting today I’m assigned as a Scout Division member.”
This man smiled.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Huelva, the Scout Division leader.”
Daganzo was surprised.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize it right away, sir.”
Huelva smiled.
“It's okay, Daganzo. I came here because I wanted you to try some basic spells in the Book of Dimensional Magic.”
Daganzo was surprised.
“I understand, sir.”
Huelva nodded.
“Then put your book copy on the lectern in the center of this training hall.”
Daganzo nodded; he then walked towards the center of the room while taking out his book copy from the inner pocket of his overcoat. Daganzo continued walking while looking at the barrier walls around him and realized that these walls were engraved with some kind of magic circle on their surface that faced towards the lectern. Daganzo’s expression changed to surprise; he turned back towards Huelva behind him.
“This wall has magic circles engraved on them. What for?”
Huelva answered.
“This hall is used to practice the magic spell in the Book of Dimensional Magic. These barrier magic circle is means to weaken black magic, and will activate automatically when it detects the presence of black magic nearby, and stop it before the magic is complete.”
Daganzo was surprised.
“Is these barrier magic strong enough to block the magic from this book?”
Huelva smiled.
“Yes, only barrier magic comes from inside that book.”
Daganzo was surprised; his attention was then drawn to the book copy in his left hand.
“This book has complete magic spells. Dimensional magic, detection devices, barrier magic, and other things I might not know yet. The inventor of this magic seems to really understand the effects of its use.”
Huelva’s expression turned serious, and he then crossed his arms.
“Magic inventor? I remembered the mysterious history of wizards, one of which was magic spells. Many magic spells that exists today has existed since time immemorial, and we as wizards just need to discover it or study it. But it begs the question, how did magic knowledge come to be for the first time.”
Daganzo was surprised and appeared to remember something.
“There is writing on this book that says that this book was written by the First Wizard. Do you know anything about it, sir?”
Huelva looked familiar with those words, but he then shook his head.
“Unfortunately, no. Its still under investigation by the scout Division…”
Huelva fell silent in thought; his expression showed something was bothering him. Daganzo watched Huelva with a curious expression.
“Okay, then I will try magic spells in this book.”
Huelva was slightly surprised, then came to his senses.
“Yes, of course.”
Daganzo nodded, walked to the lectern, and placed his book copy on it. Daganzo opened a page of this book and came to a page with a picture of a magic circle.
“According to the guides written in this book, wizard who want to use magic from the book copy must become the owner of it, by giving their blood to the magic circle as a sign of ownership of this book. Then I’ll do this first.”
Daganzo drew his Existence Sword slightly from its scabbard and cut his thumb slightly until blood dripped. Daganzo smeared blood on his thumb on the picture of the magic circle in this book as a sign of ownership of it. Soon after, the magic circle began to glow red in the center throughout the magic circle, then dimmed again and returned to black. Daganzo examined this book carefully, and nothing changed afterward.
“I think I’ve succeeded in becoming the owner of this book copy?”
Huelva smiled.
“Congratulations, the reaction that happened just now does indicate that you have become the owner of the book copy, and can use the magic spell in it.”
Daganzo nodded; he then appeared to remember something.
“The conditions for copying the Book of Dimensional Magic are also that we not write the knowledges about potions, tools, Device, etc to the books copy. So, I guess that book is much thicker than this copy?”
Daganzo raised his book copy in his right hand. Huelva nodded.
“Right, exactly as you said.”
Daganzo’s expression turned curious, and then he resumed reading his book copy.
“I’ll try this book’s first magic spell, “Dimensional Gates.”
Huelva crossed his arms with a curious expression.
