Alton rode his flying broomstick for a while; the light from the searchlight magic spell flew back to him and floated before him, causing Alton to stop midair. This light flew away again; Alton controlled his broomstick to fly after it. This light stopped in the front yard of a house, and Alton flew next to it. Alton aimed his sheathed, bladeless soul dagger at the light beside him.
“Lights out.”
This light then goes out and disappears.
Alton’s attention was drawn to the house before him, a three-story modern minimalist-style house with rows of tall metal framed window panes, a garden, a swimming pool in the backyard, and a separate wide garage building next to the house on the right. This house is at ground level higher than the road, the wall surrounding it with a metal double gate entrance and a curved uphill road leading to the front yard.
Alton landed in the house’s front yard, then got off his broomstick and walked towards this house’s tall wooden double-door entrance; his broomstick floated after him in a standing position not far behind him. Alton tries to open the house’s entrance, only to find it locked. Alton pointed the tip of his soul dagger at the door before him.
“Unlock.”
The sound of the door lock opening was heard; Alton opened the door and walked into the house. Alton arrived at this house’s guest hall, which was dark and only lit by lights at the front of the house, and stairs leading to the second floor at the wall on the left with metal framed glass railing.
“Whoever owns this house, forgive me for breaking into this house…..”
Alton pointed his soul dagger at one of the wall lamps in the guest hall.
“Lights up.”
A light shot from the tip of Alton’s sheathed soul dagger and hit one of the wall lamps, which then lit up. The lamp lit up the guest hall slightly. Alton looked around but didn’t see anyone because the house owner was currently leaving.
Alton walked up the stairs and arrived at a corridor on the second floor. Alton repeated the same magic spell on several wall lamps in this corridor to light his way and entered the door of one of the rooms he found.
The following day, it was 7:00 am. Not long after, the digital alarm clock on the nightstand rang, waking Alton from his sleep. Alton sleeps on the double bed in one of the bedrooms of this house with modern minimalist furniture such as floor lamps, a wardrobe, nightstands, a single couch, etc. Alton woke up with a sleepy face, wearing his school uniform, a white long-sleeved shirt and trousers. Alton stretched for a moment on the bed, then went to the bathroom in this room to shower and wash his school uniform, which would then be dried with magic.
Sometime later, Alton walked down the stairs from the second floor, wearing his school uniform: a long-sleeved white shirt, a tie, a school vest, a belt, a waist bag, trousers, and loafers. Alton walked into the kitchen with a breakfast table. Alton opened the refrigerator, took a large carton of juice, took a glass from the kitchen cabinets, and sat at the breakfast table. Alton remembered something; he took out the smartphone that Furano had given him from his trouser pocket and waited for a moment in case it rang.
“I wonder when Furano will call me?”
Alton put away this smartphone into his trousers pocket. Alton put his right elbow on the table and propped his right cheek with his right hand. He then filled his glass with juice. Alton looked lost in thought, remembering when Furano helped him. He then subconsciously smiled gently. Without Alton realizing, his glass had been filled with juice and spilled, he came to his senses and was surprised. Alton’s expression turned deadpan; he took out his soul dagger from his waist bag and used magic to clean the table.
Sometime later, Alton walked towards the house’s entrance and pointed his soul dagger to the side.

“Come, Dragon Wings.”
Alton’s broomstick flew from the second floor, then floated after him in a standing position not far behind him. Alton walked out of the house and locked the door again with magic. Alton got on his broomstick in the house’s front yard and flew away from here.
After some time riding his flying broomstick, Alton arrived at one part of the city with beautiful carved buildings. Alton carefully landed on a quiet pedestrian road behind one of the buildings as he watched his surroundings. Alton got off his broomstick and then pointed his soul dagger at it.
“Hide, Dragon Wings.”
Alton’s broomstick then flew away from here. Alton walked with his stomach growling momentarily. Alton walked out of the pedestrian road, looked around him carefully for a moment, and then walked away. Alton walked along the sidewalk, with various buildings on his right and left, and saw a cafe in the distance.
“I’ll just have breakfast there then.”
Alton had only walked a few steps when the smartphone in his trouser pocket rang, surprising him slightly. Allton took out this smartphone from his trousers pocket, and the smartphone screen showed an unknown contact, making Alton confused. However, Alton carried out Furano’s instructions and answered the call curiously.
“Is this Furano?”
In another place, Furano wore a white short-sleeved shirt with an unbuttoned top button, a suit jacket, trousers, a belt, and women’s boots. Furano walked in the busy, wide pedestrian road with rows of various kinds of modern classic style buildings on the right and left decorated with beautiful carvings, with the tallest building only three stories high, while making a call with Alton. Furano was slightly surprised when Alton picked up the call; she looked around her, then walked to the empty bench nearby and sat as she replied to Alton.
“Yes, it’s me. Looks like you already get used to using that smartphone to receive calls?”
Alton smiled with a proud expression.
“Yeah, of course. Something like this is easy for me to adjust to.”
Furano smiled.
“Okay Alton, how about if we meet to discuss the results of our investigation?”
Alton looked happy and answered with an excited tone.
“Of course, where should we meet?”
Alton was surprised and then answered again with an elegant tone.
“I mean, yes, where should we meet?”
Furano’s expression turned astonished for a moment; she then smiled.
“You decide, are you in a place that you can say where? Like, is there a place around you or somewhere you know where people usually gather?”
Alton looked around curiously and saw a cafe with a modern minimalist-style building, a terrace before it with several neatly arranged round wooden tables with four chairs, a menu book, and several other books on the table.
“There is a cafe on the outskirts of this city; how about if we meet there?”
Furano answered.
“Okay, can you wait me there for a while?”
Alton smiled.
“Yes, no problem. Coincidentally I haven’t had breakfast.”
Furano answered.
“Alright then, I’m going there now.”
They then ended their calls. Furano put her smartphone back into her trousers pocket and then walked away.
Furano walked on this pedestrian road and turned into a quiet alley toward the back of the buildings. Furano looked around and confirmed that this place was safe.
“Open inventory.”
Soon after, a black panel displayed several images, and white writing appeared before her:
[Inventory]
[Image of a black armored cloak x1] [Image of a handgun of spellcaster x1] [Image of a broomstick x1] [Image of a medallion x1] [Image of a glass bottle shaped like an Erlenmeyer flask filled with light green liquid x2]
*(Note: Nine item slots available, five per item type).
*(Tips: Go to the chest in the safe town to store more items).
Furano touched the image of the broomstick, and this image was then enlarged. Furano pulled her broomstick from inside the black panel.
“Close panel.”
The black panel before Furano vanished. Furano got on her broomstick and then flew away from here.
After riding her broomstick for a while, Furano landed on the empty alley behind a building, then got off her broomstick and carried it with her left hand.
“Save to inventory.”
The broomstick in Furano’s hand disintegrated into grains of light gradually and quickly until it finally disappeared completely. Furano walked out of the alley onto the sidewalk on the side of the road.
Furano walked down the sidewalk while looking around her and saw a two-story cafe building that Alton had previously told her about; she then walked to the café building. On the other hand, Alton sat at one of the tables on the terrace in front of this cafe, looking around curiously, and noticed Furano walking toward this cafe. Alton was surprised; he immediately corrected his sitting position to look elegant, then took one of the books on the table entitled “City Guide Book” and made himself look elegant while reading the book.
Furano arrived at the cafe terrace, looked around her, and found Alton sitting at one of the tables while reading a book. Furano walked over to Alton and then sat in the chair before him. Alton remained in his position while leafing through the pages of the book he was reading. Furano smiled.
“How are you, Alton?”
