Haley had sat down near Lisa in her mind space. “You picked good chairs.”

Lisa smiled, and they both looked at Abby and Molly speaking with each other. Haley noticed a huge, happy smile on Lisa’s face. Haley smiled at her, “What is going on?”

“You reunited them, and I have a friend in here. She is now, one of you, right?”

“Yes, that is right. But just like you, she has her own core, we fixed her up. I might be too quick with using my power, but I am truly just trying to use it to help people.”

Lisa nodded, “You saved yourself when fighting me, and with Molly, you wanted to help Abby.”

Abby walked her way, “Can we go outside?”

Haley shook her head, “Molly needs to rest before she sees the outside world.”

Molly smiled, “If you let me out early, I will tell you dirty secrets about Abby.” Molly whispered, “She is gay.”

Abby just crossed her arms. Haley hung her head, “I already know that, I am gay too. But Abby also likes men.”

Lisa looked at Haley, “You are gay, for real?”

“Yeah, why?”

Lisa shrugged, “I never thought about it to be honest, I thought Melin was a drunk incident. Now that I start thinking about it, yeah, it makes sense.”

Haley sighed, “we should all head out there.”

Haley opened her eyes and looked at Abby. She assumed her own form and let Lisa and Molly step out. Lisa stretched, “Finally, I see the outside world again, and I am in the underworld.”

The ferryman smiled, “And the secret has been revealed, hello Lisa, we have been talking, through a channeler.”

Lisa nodded and sat down next to Bella. Molly looked around, “Back in this place again.”

Abby smiled, “I am so glad to know you are fine, Molly.” They sat down on the boat next to each other.

The ferryman looked at Haley, “You are a nice, warm and kind soul. How did Lisa end up inside of you?”

Haley laughed, “Accidents happen. Molly was the first person I let meld into me on purpose.”

The ferryman looked at her, “You did something truly amazing, you have fixed her soul, but now she is bound to you forever.” The ferryman slowed down the boat. “We have an incoming portal.”

A portal opened up and Melin stepped through it. She looked around, “Right on the boat.”

The ferryman bowed, “Hello princess, you are always welcome on my boat, I am ferrying some souls to your father.”

Melin smiled, “Hello, Charon.” Melin walked over to Haley, “Have you gone totally bonkers?”

Haley scratched the back of her head, “Bonkers?”

“Yes, you fucking left me alone up there.”

Haley clasped her hands together, “I left you a letter, didn’t my dad give it to you?”

Melin nodded, “which is why I exactly knew where you were. I don’t want to be with you because I am lonely. I, I,” Melin looked around, Lisa, Bella, Abby, and another woman stared at her. Melin sighed, “I like you, Haley. Why do you think I am following you everywhere you go? This beautiful lady with a heart of gold and raised as a spartan just came out of nowhere. I know you are trying to get over Shirley, and I am not just some rebound. If I did not like you, I would not have reciprocated when we, you know, had our night.”

Haley giggled, “I understand that.”

“For the love of god Haley, I fucking like you, do I need to scream it through the underworld because I will do that if it is needed for you to hear me, Haley, I like you!”

Haley turned red and giggled louder, very awkwardly. “Well, that is clear Melin, I am sorry for leaving you up there then. I am, just, not sure how to proceed with this.”

Molly called out, “Just fucking kiss her already! It is like the airport scene in a rom-com!”

Abby shushed her sister, “You don’t know what Haley has been through.”

Bella nodded, “But she has a point, fucking kiss her, Haley.”

Lisa giggled, “You are all a fun bunch to hang around.”

Melin opened her arms, “Well, am I going to get a kiss, or a slap in my face?”

Haley stepped forward, “I like you too, Melin, and that scares me. I am not completely over Shirley, and it scares me that I can like another woman this quick. You have treated me with respect, you have been there for me when I needed you. And you followed me to the underworld. I want this to be a slow build up,” Haley kissed Melin gently and with passion. “I hope that is a good enough answer.” Everyone on the boat cheered. Even Charon seemed to be pleased.

Melin let out a sigh of relief, “Thank god, I feared that action might be idiotic, but it worked out.”

Charon chuckled, “We are coming close to your father’s quarters.”

Haley sat in front of the boat, the dark caves that resembled the underworld vibrated with the essence of death. Melin walked over to her and sat down next to Haley. She slowly let her hand slide over towards Haley, she noticed and grabbed Melin’s hand. “You know, Melin, you don’t have to take me to see your parents this fast.”

Melin blushed and turned red, “It is not like that, this is for your quest.”

Haley giggled, “Sorry, I had to tease you like that. How can there even be true life down here?”

Melin beamed, “when I was born, I grew up in the village.”

“What, there is a village?”

“Yes, it is filled with dead people that are not ready to move on, there are also some gods. Please don’t eat them, those are my friends. I am just kidding, of course.”

Haley nodded, “I know, I did absorb Molly, but that was too safe, and repair her soul.”

Melin looked at Abby and Molly hugging, talking and messing around. “You did another good deed, Haley, and Lisa seems to be more at peace as well. She is just listening to Bella, and she sprouts a lot of nonsense. Bella has lived in the village for a while as well. She always comes back. For some reason, the ethereal vortex really does not want to take her soul.”

Haley chuckled, “She probably talks too much about science.”

Melin giggled flirtatiously, “Yeah, you have a point there.”

After a few hours, they finally came to a grass field, numerous flowers are growing here, dark flowers. Melin hopped off and seemed right at home. A woman was tending to the flowers, and Melin ran towards her and hugged her. Lisa jumped off, “Can I just wander, Haley?”

“Yeah, you are tethered, I have no clue what the range is, but when my dad had his personalities out, they were walking quite far away.”

Abby nodded, “Who knew, the underworld has such beauty?”

Bella smiled as she said goodbye to Charon. “This is only the beginning. Perhaps, we should say hi to Persephone.”

Haley nodded and walked over to Persephone, “Hello, my name is-”

Persephone held up her hand, “No worries, I know who you are. Let me introduce myself, I am Persephone, Melin’s mom.” Persephone has golden, almost the color of light itself, curly hair braided to reveal a full, menacing face. Smart blue eyes, set graciously within her sockets.

Haley tilted her head to the left, “How do you know about us?”

Persephone let out a sly smile, “I have been keeping a close eye on your dad.”

Haley shook her head, “Why?”

“I have my reasons, Haley, those are not yours to know.”

Persephone took Melin apart, “Are you completely insane, Melin!?”

“What?”

“You cannot have something with Haley. We have been trying to do things different compared to the times when people were still admiring us.”

Melin sighed, “It is not that bad. My dad is your father’s brother.”

“Haley is too close to the Greek gods. Zeus does not know about Haley yet, I want to keep it that way for now.”

Persephone looked at Lisa, “And what the fuck is she doing here?”

Melin sighed, “Haley absorbed and killed her. She is now a part of Haley.”

Persephone grunted, “She is too dangerous, she is going to get you killed. She is related to, you know who, the devil inside her father, his genes run through her.”

Melin sighed, “I know that, Hera, Destiny, and Logan will go insane once they find out. I can’t go around telling Haley she has brothers and sisters in high places, or tell Steve how he has been created in a test tube. Just ask Dad to be gentle with her, she is trying to help people, she is nothing like Micheal. She is a nice and kind soul.”

Persephone sighed, “If she gets you hurt, I am going to avenge you by killing the person who is directly responsible for your death. No mercy.”

Melin nodded, “I wouldn’t expect any different from the queen of the underworld. Please treat her with respect, I really like her, and she makes me feel, warm and not alone.”

Persephone nodded and hugged Melin, “Alright, my dear. I just hope, you know what you are doing.”

Melin and Persephone walked back, Haley looked at them, “Is everything okay?”

Melin nodded, “Everything is just fine.”

Persephone walked over and hugged Haley, “A friend of Melin, is a friend of mine. You are an honored guest here in the underworld. And our denizens are going to treat you like that, just stay away from Tartarus, he is grumpy.”

Melin chuckled, “Grumpy might not be the right word to describe his mood, mom.”

Haley let out a sigh of relief, “Thank god, I thought we were going to have problems, I did not listen out of respect.”

Persephone shook her head, “It was just a small family matter. My husband should be here soon, you should admire the black tulips while we wait.”

Molly looked around, “Tulips? I thought they did not exist in a black color.”

Bella looked at her, “This is the underworld, if Persephone wants black tulips, she is going to grow black tulips.”

Abby laughed, “She is the queen, after all.”

Lisa sighed, “Is Poseidon going to visit the underworld anytime soon?”

Persephone smiled, “I’ll ask your dad to come visit the village where we will be going soon.”

They waited for a while and eventually a blue portal opened up, and a man stepped through, just like Persephone, he was wearing a robe. Black, straight hair reveals a full, worried face. Shuttered brown eyes, set far within his sockets. “Hello there, thank the lords Melin, you are safe. Why do you keep wandering away from the underworld? I can understand Olympus but meddling in mortal affairs the entire time.”

He walked over, “I also know you have angered, you know who. Why did you even anger him? You know better than to go after Steve. Zeus does not like that.”

Melin sighed, “I was just having fun, Khione tried to kill me again, I thought, maybe I could save everyone”

Persephone sighed, “Technically, you did die. You need to be careful, one day, you will not be able to cast your resurrection spell in time.”

Melin nodded, “Sorry, I need to be more careful.”

Haley smiled, having not a clue why everyone was this focused on her dad, “Hello, I assume you are Hades? We are looking for passage to Purgatory, Molly and Lisa are both me, so they count as zero. My mom and dad must pass through later. What is your price?”

Hades walked over to Haley, “I see you are a business lady, I can understand what my daughter sees in you. It is something pricey you are asking for, Purgatory is not easily reached. But, I know just the thing. We had an attack recently by a giant monster. It comes back every thirty months. I want you to help rebuild the village,” Hades held up his hand, “Let me finish. After you have helped repair the village, you will need to wait for the monster to come back. We can arrange a lovely home for you, as you are our guest.”

Haley nodded, “Thank you, sir.”

“When the monster comes back, I want you to kill it, and then wait for another thirty months to see if it returns. If it indeed does not come back, and you have defeated it, then I will grant five people access to Purgatory, you, Bella, Abby, Steve, and Lory. The ones stuck inside of you are free.”

Haley gulped, “That is going to take five years, what if my dad finished up his task earlier?”

Hades smiled, “He, and your mom, assuming the ethereal vortex does not take their soul, will get access to my personal cryo chamber where they can sleep in peace until your task is completed.”

Haley looked at the others, they all nodded. Haley sighed, “I guess there is no other option. Can you take us to this village of yours, Hades?”

He bowed and gestured, “Of course, Haley, follow me to Reaperhelm.”

As they walked, Haley went deep in her mind, I hope I will make it, five years, I hope I don't die from the sickness I feel within me. Maybe I can find something to prolong my life. It is also the reason I accepted Melin as kind of my sweetheart, I know, I will be dead soon.
