I woke up, with a big smile on my face, since it was finally the day. Everything had been arranged, well, Sean did most of the work. He really wanted pictures of our wedding. The bad thing, Lory is not here. She had spent last night in a hotel with Bob. I got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up. Monday had been quite ordinary after my encounter with the commander. The order had fixed the damage, when Lory came home, it seemed as if nothing had happened. She had not shown me her dress yet. F had delivered my black tuxedo after Lory had left for the hotel. I went to the kitchen and made a simple sandwich this time, I wanted to be on time for my wedding.
After eating something for my nerves, and drinking a cup of coffee, I went to the bathroom to put on my wedding suit. I put on a smooth shirt and buttoned it up fully to support the elegant tie that F provided. On top of the shirt, I am wearing a chic vest with three buttons, it has a deep v-line, which causes the vest to remain hidden when the suit’s jacket is buttoned up. The jacket fits me like a glove. It has a wide herringbone pattern which gives the suit a classy and graceful look.
The five buttons of my double-breasted jacket are all buttoned up, giving me a sophisticated look. The jacket is longer at the back, it has vents at either side, there are two pockets on each side and there’s a breast pocket which contains a stylish pocket square. My pants copy the style of my jacket, both in color and pattern, and they perfectly complement my shoes. I am wearing an elegant pair of plain toe Bluchers. To top it all off, I put on a graceful belt, which was accompanied by an expensive Rolex that F had granted me. This one came with some spy features, which I have used in my missions. For my jacket, I also added some golden cuff links.
As I looked into the mirror, I had to admit, I looked handsome. For once, I put my long blonde hair in a ponytail. I made sure my facial hair is in perfect condition. The sea breeze is going to mess up my hair anyway, but, I wanted to look as good as possible when Lory walks over towards me. The material of this suit feels light but extremely sturdy. It is as if I am covered by a stone skin. I walked over to the hall and grabbed the keys for the car. After a few seconds, I let out a long, deep sigh. Then I opened the door and walked over to my car.
The beach is not very far from here. Sean should have put everything up, I went over the details with him yesterday. We were going to keep it small, no family. Just him to officiate the marriage, and Olive for photographs. He would set up a small altar for us on a good spot on the beach near the shipwreck. Luckily, it is a sunny day with no wind.
After I got to the beach, I steeled my nerves, this is wrecking my nerves more compared to a difficult combat situation. I got out and already saw Sean standing on the beach in a suit. His looked fine, but not as good as mine. He had put down a rug on the beach, with some small rocks, an archway with flowers and an altar. I walked over to Sean, he smiled at me, “Where did you get that expensive suit?”
I chuckled, “From a benefactor.” With a flashy smile, I showed him my Rolex, “I told you, money is no issue.”
“This looks astonishing.”
On the altar stood two cups, along with a bottle of wine, and two candles with matches. Sean looked at me, “You have the rings, right?”
I pulled them out of my square pocket and put them on the altar.
Soon Olive showed up, she was wearing a dress, even if she is here to make photographs, I bet she wants to look the part. The green dress covers her shoulders halfway and flows down into a tasteful round neckline. It’s a loose fit which gives the dress a relaxed, yet graceful look. Her arms have been covered to just above her wrists. The sleeves are a tight, but comfortable fit from top to bottom, allowing for enough movement while still looking stylish.
She walked over to me, Brown, shaggy hair hangs over a bony, cheerful face. Piercing green eyes, set wickedly within her sockets. “You look good, Steve.”
“Thanks, you too, that big camera accentuates your dress.”
She nodded towards Sean, and then she took place in what seemed to be a good place for her to make photographs. After waiting for what seemed to be a long time, I heard a car arrive in the distance. Sean asked me to look at him. I did so and clasped my hands together. Sean smiled, “Turn around.”
I did, and then I saw Lory walk over towards me. The pale yellow dress covers her shoulders almost fully and flows down into a fancy semi-sweetheart neckline. It’s a close fit, which helps to accentuate her breasts without making it look tacky. Her arms have been covered to just below her elbows. The sleeves start out loose and tighten towards the bottom, where they form a perfect match with the color of her skin. The dress’s waist is broad, but it’s a comfortable fit. A bow has been wrapped around her and rests gently on her lower back.
Below the waist, the dress widens and has multiple symmetric layers towards the bottom. The dress reaches to just above her ankles and is longer at the sides and back of the dress. She’s wearing pumps, which adds simplicity and elegance. To top it all off, she’s wearing an ornate necklace and an opulent bracelet.
As she stood before me, I just gasped, and I was in awe. “Holy smokes, you are damn hot.”
She tilted her head and smiled at me, “You aren’t looking too shabby either.”
I smiled back at her. “I love how you have done your hair today.”
She nodded, “I like your ponytail.”
Sean smiled at us as he saw us holding each other’s hand. “Alright, are you ready to get started?” We both nodded. Sean cleared his throat, “Lory and Steve, we meet here today to witness a sacred ceremony. Your special union on this wonderful beach. Even the weather is helping us. With great reverence, we come together to celebrate the love and devotion shared by these two special people.”
“Over the course of their relationship, they have developed a strong bond based on shared values and mutual respect. With a solid foundation from which to grow, they have decided to take the oath of marriage and spend the rest of their lives together. Let us revel in the joy and love on display here today. May we treasure these memories as and, under the eyes of God, get set to begin their new life together. While marriage is a sacred and serious tradition, it is also cause for tremendous joy.”
“Married life is full of surprises, adventures, and memory-making, this is all made possible by the enduring power of love. When we finalize this union, they will begin a new life of partnership, one defined by shared hopes, dreams, and successes. As you learn to live as one, you will encounter many challenges that can help you grow. Spend time doing the things that make life precious, cooperate with each other, always make time to laugh together, and never lose appreciation for the love that you share. Remember, too, to adhere to the vows that you will make today.”
“Seek strength from each other, give hope to each other, and let your trials help you grow together. They say love can build bridges and climb mountains, they’re right. You will find that as it grows and matures over time, your love for one another will prove both fulfilling and empowering. Yes, there will be challenges in life, but the strength of your bond will offer you protection against life’s storms. Always make your relationship a priority, and continue to nurture each other. Through a commitment to love, and with the power of faith, together you will be able to navigate any obstacles that come your way.”
“And now, I invite you to express your sacred vows to one another. Please face each other as you declare these vows before God and in the presence of your loved one. Steve, you may go first, as we have practiced.”
I nodded and swept away some sweat on my forehead. I lifted my right hand, “Lory, with this hand, I will lift your sorrows, whenever you are sad, or if you need me, I will be there for you.” Then, I picked up the wine, luckily Sean had opened it, as I slowly poured it in her cup, I spoke up. “Your cup will never empty, for I am your wine.” As I smiled at Lory, I took a match and lit it, “With this candle, I will be your light in the darkness. For I never want darkness to consume you. May we get separated, no matter how long, I will find you with my light.” Then I picked up her ring, “With this ring, I ask you to be mine, for now and forever, until death do us part, if death may part us, we will meet in the afterlife.” Lory lifted her hand and I put the ring on her right ring finger.
Lory smiled at me, she beamed with happiness. Sean spoke up, “You are next, Lory, let everyone hear your vows.”
Lory lifted her right hand, “With this hand, I will lift your sorrows Steve, I will make sure that we both bring out the best of us.” She picked up the wine and started slowly pouring it in my cup, “Your cup will never empty, for I am your wine.” She grabbed a match and lit it, “With this candle that I lit, I will be your light in the darkness. May we get separated by death, may it take me first, I will forgive your living sins when we do meet. So we may pick up in the afterlife where we left off, may our light shine through the veil of death.” She picked up the ring, “With this ring, I ask you to be mine, for we belong together, now and forever.” I lifted my hand, and she put the ring on my ring finger.

Sean smiled at us, “Please join hands. Under the eyes of God, Steve, do you take Lory to be your lawfully wedded Wife? Do you promise to support her completely and love her unconditionally, so long as you both shall live, and after death?”
“Yes, I do!”
Sean looked at Lory, “Under the eyes of God, Lory, do you take Steve to be your lawfully wedded husband? Do you promise to support him completely and love him unconditionally, so long as you both shall live and after death?”
Lory nodded, “Yes, I do!”
Sean nodded, “By the power vested in me, by the state of Vermont, and by the Universal Life Church, I pronounce you, Steve and Lory, as Husband and Wife, lawfully wedded before God. You may now kiss the bride!” He did not have to tell me that twice. I kissed Lory with passion and I felt her tail wrap around me.
As I backed off, she looked thrilled. I chuckled, “We did it Lory, we got married.”
She nodded, “I feel wonderful. Your vows meant a lot to me, Steve.”
I nodded, “I intend to honor them.”
Lory smiled, “I intend to honor my vows too.” I took her hand, and we started walking along the beach. Olive followed us and kept making photos. Lory had left her pumps behind near the altar. “We are going to have lunch at the Mad Garden soon, are you a bit hungry?”
She chuckled, “Now that my nerves are not killing me, yes, I am hungry.”
“Good because I think we have a lot of food, oh and tonight the Spaghetti Tiger!” I turned Lory towards me and I hugged her, then I just held her in my arms.
While we hugged, Lory started to whisper. “I meant what I said, may death part us, I won’t blame you for going on. But, I expect you to continue with me, when we meet again.”
I looked into her brown eyes. “Lorraine, at this moment, I promise to you, regardless of who I meet after you pass away, no matter the situation that I am in. The moment I meet you again, I will throw it away, that way we can be together in death or thereafter.”
Lory smiled, “Then I promise you the same, although I hope we may live a long life together.”
I put my hand on her cheek, “You are a special lady, what I feel for you, I felt for no one before. If anyone were to harm you, I will raise hell on earth.”
Lory smiled, “I love you Steve, a lot.”
“Good because, I feel the same for you, I love you a lot Lorraine, and soon we will have a little one, today will be our special day.”
We spent more time on the beach before having lunch at the Mad Garden. Olive kept following us everywhere. People stared at us and asked if we got married today. Time flew, and before we knew it, we found ourselves at the Spaghetti Tiger, our usual spot. Lory looked around, “It feels good to be here, the place where we had our first kiss.”
I chuckled, “I will never forget how much you blushed.” We kept on talking as we waited for our usual order, the spaghetti formed tiger. As it got put down on the table, the waiter congratulated us. He has been here since we started visiting this place. Lory took my hand, “Why don’t we give Olive an excellent shot for our wedding day?” I smiled as we both scooped up the same spaghetti string with our cutlery. We started slurping it up, and soon we kissed. Of course, Olive went wild with making photographs.
Normally, I would not eat without a napkin, but I would rather not ruin this expensive suit, Lory also used a napkin. “Your dress looks spectacular, I love the yellow.”
She giggled, “Yeah, it seemed to be an adventurous taste. I am already different, why not pick something else for my wedding? White would probably not fit me anyway, we both know I am not pure anymore.”
“I am certain, red would have fitted you perfectly as well. If you really had wanted something that looked a bit white, you could have gone with ivory. It means that you are not pure, right?”
Lory nodded, “You are correct, at least I think so.” We enjoyed our meal and talked even more. Thereafter, we went to our home. Olive shot a few more photographs in front of our house.
She smiled, “I am tired, your wedding was amazing, I am going to sort out the photographs and put the best of them in a wedding photo album.” We both waved at her as she left.
Lory looked at me, “I did not mind her stalking us all day.”
I chuckled, “I barely noticed her, I only had eyes for you.” We walked into the house and we both looked at a lane of lit candles leading to the bedroom.
Lory gasped, “When did you do this?”
I smiled, “I called someone to arrange it while we ate.” We followed the candle lane and on our bed lay red potpourri. On our nightstands stood vases with roses.
Lory looked at me, “I know what happens next.”
The next morning I woke up, we had a great night. When I walked into the bathroom, Bob sat there. He looked at me, “I did not like being stuck in that hotel room alone.”
“Oh, shush it, Bob, we needed some privacy. You got picked up early this morning and brought back home, right?”
“Yes, thank you, boss.”
I gestured with my head, “Keep Lory in your eyesight.”
He brushed his tail against my leg as he left the bathroom. I freshened up myself, and then I walked into the bedroom. Bob had parked himself on Lory’s tail. I found it quite amusing, a cat sleeping on a wolf’s tail. Not to mention the fact, he fell asleep in like three seconds. While Lory slept, I started cleaning up the candles. I think it helped set the mood quite well.
The doorbell rang, I opened the door, it was our breakfast delivery. “Thanks for that,” the woman smiled and waved after she handed me the basket. While making coffee and tea, I started putting the breakfast on our table. Some scones, croissants, apple juice, muffins, and even sandwiches. After a while, breakfast stood ready. Lory soon walked into the room, followed by Bob.
She yawned and stretched while sitting down. She looked at the scones, “I think, I can eat all of this.”
I laughed, “I do want a little bit of food as well.” We ate our food, pretty tired from yesterday. While Olive did stalk us, the agents had been following us as well, however, much more stealthy. Taking down their commander must have scared them off.
“We can just relax today, Lory, I do need to pick up the pie.”
She nodded, “Pie sounds good.”
“Yes, it does, can I swing by Megan for some information for that scoop? It won’t take long, perhaps ten minutes. If you don’t want me too, I will get it done tomorrow.”
Lory smiled, “It is near the bakery, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, That is right.”
Lory took a bite from her scone, “No worries, darling. Bob can keep me entertained with his silly jokes.”
Bob gasped, “I don’t have silly jokes!” He looked at me, “Alright get this Steve, why can’t melons get married?”
I shrugged. Bob started purring, “Because, they cantaloupe.”
I sighed, “Oh my god, Bob, that one was, hilarious.”
Lory laughed, “That did not sound forced at all.”
Bob scoffed, “At least he pretends to like my jokes!”
After I had finished my breakfast, I gave Lory a kiss and got dressed. Something simple, just sweatpants and an older wide shirt. I dressed up yesterday, today I wanted to be comfortable. After getting dressed, I put on my black jacket, it had been fixed. Then I grabbed the car keys. Lory walked over and adjusted my jacket, “I will see you soon, husband.”
I chuckled, “Yeah, no worries’ wifey. I am taking the car, I will be home with pie before you know it.” She gave me a passionate kiss.
I just smiled at her, “You look wonderful.”
She giggled, “I am not even freshened up yet.”
I shook my head, “I do not mind, you are always beautiful.”
She let out a seductive smile, “Now go, before I keep you home.” I laughed as I walked outside to the car.
It did not take long for me to pick up the chocolate pie. It is just a normal, standard pie. Luckily, it did not take long for me to get the pie. Online ordering is great. Then I went to the vet clinic, and got led to the same room where I found Megan. She smiled at me, “Hello there, you look good today.”
I chuckled, “I am happy, I got married yesterday. Just picking up the scoop and some pie. The rest of the day I will be doing nothing.”
Megan nodded, “Congratulations, well, let me start,” before she could; however, Bob stormed in.
I kneeled and looked at him, “What is going on, Bob? You should be keeping an eye on Lory.”
He even panted and hung, his tongue out of his mouth. “They came, Steve, a lot of them. They murdered all the agents near the house. All ten of them. Luckily, F was not with them.”
“Bob!?”
“Yes?”
“What happened to Lory?”
“They took her, through some kind of portal.”
“How many were there?”
Bob kept panting, “At least a hundred, they came out of a massive portal.” Megan just stared at Bob, I had no time for that.
The receptionist stormed in, “Something weird is happening in front of the store.” Bob jumped in my arms and I stormed to the front of the vet clinic. There, I saw ten wolf people armed to their teeth.
Megan followed me, “Oh my god, what are they doing here?”
I grunted, “They are here for me, stay back, Megan, this will get messy.” I put Bob down, then I pulled out my smartphone and rang F while the wolf people kept staring at me.
“S, is that you? I just heard the news, I thought you might have been killed in the surge.”
“No, I was picking up the pie.”
“F?”
“Yes?”
“Get my gear ready, all of it, it is time, to murder the shit out of their king and get my wife back.”
