Bella walked over to the airship, Haley and I followed her. Bella turned around, “We need to close that hole in the shack. The horrible part, it needs to be done from the inside. To get inside, you need an artifact. The Lizardians covet it as one of their greatest treasures. Some of them came down here, but most of them are up there. This airship will bring you there. If you are up for an adventure.”

I smiled, “Haley and I are up for it, and I am guessing, Lory, Abby and Funk will probably be up for it as well. How long is it going to take to get this airship up and running?”

Bella sighed, “I think about a week or so. It works on energy. You see, I am some kind of scientist myself. Next to being a fighter.”

I chuckled, and Haley bellowed out in laughter. Bella looked uncomfortable at us. “What did I say?”

Haley wiped away a tear of joy, “Oh, nothing, scientist.”

Bella crossed her arms, “Is something wrong with being a scientist?”

I shook my head, “It is just the way you said it. We can rest for a week, thereafter, we can see what your ship can do.”

Bella smiled as she saw Funk and Abby lead the wagon into the hangar. Lory followed them, She ran over towards me and jumped into my arm. “Hey darling.” I gave her a kiss. “Are you up for an airship adventure?”

She looked at the airship, “Yes, I am, can I rest for a bit first?”

Haley walked over, “Bella needs to science up this ship first. We can rest and process everything that has happened so far. Mom?”

“Yes?”

“Can we train?”

Lory smiled, “Alright!”

I looked at Funk, “Hey Insectino?”

He stared at me, “Never call me that again. What do you need?”

“Is there a training ground?”

He nodded, “Abby can finish this, follow me.”

We got led through Brickton, it seemed to be getting along quite nicely. Paul smiled at me, he sat near the training ground. It is a basic field of grass, there were some dummies and even weapon racks. I sat down next to Paul, “Have you heard the news yet?”

He nodded, “You got a daughter?”

“Yeah, we went to an alternate reality, some kind of dream world. We should focus on them.”

Paul looked at Lory. “She looks different, calm, and happy.”

I nodded, “Just look.”

Funk sat down next to me. “How rough is this training session going to be?”

I chuckled, “Just look.”

Haley spread her wings and grabbed a sword. Lory smiled and grabbed a sword. They took place across each other. They both took the right stance. Haley spoke up, “Rules?”

Lory smiled, “Go all out, use the safe word when it gets too much.”

Haley chuckled, “There is no way I am going to give up.”

She shot forward and used purple energy to slash her sword down at Lory, she easily blocked and they started trading blows. Haley jumped back, Lory pointer her sword downwards. With fast speed, Haley ran towards her, and did a front flip. Lory raised her sword at the right time and hit Haley’s wing, purple blood splattered on the ground and Haley crashed to the ground. Lory walked over to her, Haley swept her tail and swept Lory off her feet. She fell down and Haley jumped up. She immediately stabbed her sword down in her right arm and blood dripped to the ground.

Lory stretched her left hand and shot a massive beam of moon energy and Launched Haley away. In the sky, she used her wings to slowly glide to the ground while throwing her sword in the air. She put her hands together. Haley screamed out, “Major void blast!”

Lory put her hands together, “May the power of the moon be with me.” Two huge energy beams shot towards each other and collided in the middle. The whole ground and air started to shake. The void beam drew in shadows, while the moon beam absorbed the essence of light.

People had started to gather near the training grounds. Even Alice. Haley suddenly flashed out of existence and the beam went towards the sky. Haley suddenly stood behind Lory and grabbed her tail and yanked it. Lory used her elbow to hit Haley’s face. She fell backwards while slicing Lory’s left leg, and blood flew over the ground. Lory pointed her sword at Haley’s throat, “I win.”

Haley chuckled, she tried to sweep Lory off her feet, she jumped up, anticipating it after what had happened to me. While in the air, Haley grabbed Lory’s sword and threw her on the floor. Haley quickly grabbed her sword and got up, she spit purple blood on the floor. Lory suddenly vanished, and she stood behind Haley and grabbed her in a full nelson. Haley struggled, but she could not get loose. She shot on energy beam from her back, Lory jumped over Haley and threw her on the ground with a loud thud.

Haley panted as she looked up, then she smiled. Lory tilted her head, “What is so funny?”

The energy beam from earlier, the giant one, came back and suddenly hit Lory before she noticed it. She got launched across the field. Haley slowly got up, she grabbed her sword and limped over to Lory, then she put her sword on her throat. “I win.”

Lory tapped on the ground, “You win.” Haley helped Lory up and hugged her. Then they started using energy to heal each other’s wounds.

Funk looked at me, “That was a rough and intense training session.”

I smiled, “This was quite normal.”

Paul looked at me, “That was, insane.”

Lory walked over towards me, “Did you like it?”

“Yes, but Haley keeps winning, we need to put her in her place.”

Haley chuckled, “You are welcome to try me, dad.”

“I got up, alright, you are tired now. Maybe I can win.”

Lory gave me a slow and gentle kiss. “Kick her ass.”

Abby looked at me, she stood behind me while watching, “Is that how to handle your daughter?”

I looked at Abby, then at Haley, “Munchkin?”

“Yes?”

“Do you like training like this!”

She pumped her fist into the air, “Hell yes! I love fighting like this.”

I smiled at Abby, “We got her a wooden training sword when she turned six. She loves this, we always agree beforehand how much hurt we are allowed to inflict, we have safe words, tapping out, emergency stops. We trained every day in our dojo.”

Funk seemed to have an aha moment. “That is why you are so much stronger now.”

I walked over to the weapon stand and picked up a sharp blade, one that is long, not a short sword. I looked at Haley, she was already standing ready to fight. “How rough do you want me to be? Do you want me to go gentle on you? Since you are tired.”

Haley chuckled, “Nice try dad, I am going to kick your ass, it is time to go all out.”

I twirled my sword and Haley mimicked my moves. I let energy infuse me and the ground started to shake, rocks got lifted into the air. A massive aura erupted from my body. I smirked, “Come get some, Munchkin.”

Haley spread her wings and a void aura covered her as she made rocks lift into the air. She flew at me and I braced myself. I blocked the incoming blow and we started trading blows. Energy collided in the air. As we traded blows, sand, and dirt flew everywhere. Haley wanted to hit the left side of my torso, quickly I ducked and bashed Haley aside, she staggered backwards but used her wings to recover.

She ran towards me and I did a front flip over her and slashed my sword at her back. Purple blood splattered over me as she fell down. Slowly I walked closer as she did not move, then she turned around and shot a huge void beam at me. I got launched away against a wall, then I fell on the floor. Slowly I got up and brushed off the dirt. Haley panted, she was indeed tired. I threw my sword at her, she readied herself to block the incoming sword, then I pulled my gun and started shooting bullets at her.

Haley caught the sword and made little void walls to stop the bullets from hitting her. As I came closer, I tucked my gun away and jumped at her while spawning a silver blade. Haley crossed her two swords, and we ended up in a bind. We kept pushing, trying to end the bind. Suddenly, something grabbed my leg and I got pulled backwards. Haley had made a void tendril and I had not sensed it. Haley made two cuts on my torso and pointed her swords at my throat. “I win.”

I smiled, “Not yet, munchkin.”

She noticed I had my hand on the ground. She quickly turned around, but there was nothing, I kicked the back of her knees and she fell forward, and I jumped on her with an elbow, and you could hear a crack. “Do I win?”

Haley laughed, “That was mean! You tricked me.” She hit me with an elbow in my face.

In that single moment I leaned backward by the blow, she pushed me off and rolled me and the floor, I got an elbow between my ribs. She charged two massive beams and pointed them at my chest while panting and heaving, blood dripped from her nose and mouth. I tapped the ground, “You win, fair and square.”

She called back her energy and helped me up. I hugged her and she almost fell over. “You exerted yourself, Munchkin, are you alright?”

She slowly nodded, “Pushing my limits is good, that is what you taught me.”

“Yes, that is true, pushing your limits in a safe environment allows you to be better in the heat of real combat.” I gave her a kiss on her forehead.

She smiled at me. “Thanks for the sparring match, dad. You were holding back.”

I shrugged, “Maybe just a little bit.” I helped her to the bench and helped her sit down.

Alice walked over to me, “Are you insane?”

“What is the problem, Alice?”

“You just beat the crap out of your daughter.”

I looked at Haley smiling and emitting happiness from a battle well fought. Then I looked back at Alice, “She is happy.”

She pointed her finger at me, “You don’t go around kicking your kid.”

Haley got up, “Your name is Alice, right?” She nodded. Haley pointed her finger right between Alice’s eyes. “I have a mind of my own, do you know that? I love to fight,” she kept poking Alice between her eyes. “If I don’t like something, I can say that myself. My dad is a true hero, not only that, he is a trained secret agent. You seem to be a significant person around here, but the moment my dad realizes you have done something wrong, he is going to put a bullet in your brain!”

Alice just stared at Haley, then she looked at me, “We’ll fight, two days from now. I will kick your ass!”

She walked away and Funk ran after her. I looked at Haley, “Thanks Munchkin, I can fight my own battles, but I appreciate the back-up.”

She just tilted her head and smiled at me. Lory walked over, “When you fight her, don’t hold back.”

I nodded, “She is going down.”
