I held a door closed by using my back, a tentacle slipped inside the room and Captain chopped it away with his red sword. The door closed, and I looked at a storage closet with brooms and cleaning supplies. I panted, “Holy fuck, those tentacles are everywhere.”

Captain sat down, “Who knew trying to transform would allow her to slip out.”

I looked at him, “What the fuck man, she has tentacles. You dated a tentacle woman?”

Captain smiled, “What can I say, perhaps it was not me? Tentacles are maybe my kink?”

I sighed, “That is not information I want to know. What I do want to know, is how do we get her back into her mirror?”

Captain shrugged, “How should I know? We barely managed to contain her divine form when at full power. Just so you know, once we get her back to the place she belongs we need to have a chat.”

“Dude, this is not the time!”

The tentacles kept pushing the door. I winced in pain, I looked at my right leg, blood streamed out. Captain looked at it, “Your leg is still not doing very well.”

“Well, I was controlling the robot and your fucking tentacle woman hit me from behind, knocking me out.”

Captain grinned, “You should be glad I did not let you get dragged away. I saved your ass back there.”

“You only saved me because you know you need me to get rid of her.” A portal opened up in the storage closet. Lory, Abby, Haley, and the other dude came through the portal. I sighed, “of course, it’s the wacky dude.”

He smiled at me, “Aye, that is no way to greet yourself Steve.”

I grunted, “Hello Steve.”

“That is better, I brought your family, mate.”

Lory walked over, “Steve, is that you?”

“Yes, I got one arm, right? What the fuck are you guys doing here anyway, you are in me.”

Abby walked over, “You invited them, right?”

I looked at Haley, “No, I didn’t.”

Captain chuckled, “That would have been me, I invited them, Steve got hit and almost slaughtered, I decided that I needed you guys.”

I looked at him, “What, you were the one who controlled me?”

Captain looked at me, “It is not like I had a choice man, you might be the prime controller at this moment, but you were fucking knocked out, and I panicked!”

Adventure dude spoke up, “We never panic, we always do things with a calm state of mind.”

Both Captain and I stared at him. He shrugged, “Fine, I will keep lying to myself then.”

Lory looked at me, “What the fuck is going on Steve?”

“Captain has too big of an appetite and decided he likes tentacles as a kink too much and ate the tentacles.”

Captain sighed as he pushed the door back, “That is not what I said! She got assimilated, do you know the meaning of that word?”

“Yes I know the fucking word, you fucking ate here!”

Abby looked at the door, “As fun as it is to see three Steve’s duke it out with words, what is our plan?”

Haley nodded, “Exactly, what is the plan dad? Wait, which one is my dad?”

We all answered simultaneously, “I am.”

Abby laughed, “That is, just, oh my god my brain hurts.”

I sighed, “Shut the fuck up the both of you, she is my daughter.”

Captain gasped, “So, if I have a daughter, you are not going to call her your own daughter?”

“What, I did not say that, wait we have another daughter?”

Captain exhaled deeply, “That is not what I said, it was hypothetically, you idiot!”

The adventure dude spoke up, “We can keep arguing or get the fuck out of this tiny closet.” He made a portal.

Lory pointed, “I say, we listen to the wacky dude.” I nodded, and we all jumped through the portal.

We ended up in the nexus of my mind. I sighed, “More me’s!” They all waved and cheered.

The Steve with the white wings walked over to me, “Glad to see you are safe boss.”

Captain spoke up, “I am the boss.”

“No, you are not the prime controller right now, he is. And as long as you don’t beat him in battle, that is the way.”

Thanos walked over, “He is correct, we all have had our chance to shine. He also needs to get a chance to shine.”

Lory gasped, “Wait, oh my god it just hit me.”

Haley looked at her, “What did you just realize mom?”

“These people, all these Steve’s! They all have lived a life, just like Steve, like Agent S. But Captain, he wants another chance. That is why he is fighting back.”

Thanos bowed, “Malady is correct.”

A woman appeared before all of us. “Hello there Thanos, it has been a while, hasn’t it? I don’t take rejection well.”

I walked forward and looked at her, someone had healed my leg, who the fuck did that. Steve with the white wings waved. I sighed and looked at the woman, Blue, layered hair tied in a bun reveals a handsome, time worn face. Darting silver eyes, set appealingly within her sockets. “Look, why don’t you and your tentacles go back into your cage?”

Eris shrugged, “I kind of like it in your soul. It seems you invited people, I see you can do that, instead of consuming them. You could have said no. I just wanted to be with you.”

“Lady, I have no fucking idea who you are, except for the fact, Captain told me about you, and Thanos seems to know you.”

Eris let out an irritated sigh and stomped the ground with her feet, “Is there trouble in paradise, where is the devil inside of you, huh, tell me where is he?”

I scratched my nose, “I really hate people saying the devil lives inside of me, I am just a normal guy.” All the other me's had to laugh.

Eris groaned, “Let me remind you what happened,” she snapped her fingers and a screen opened up.

We saw Thanos sitting on a comfy throne, looking over planets and stars. I heard Abby, Lory, and Haley gasp. I just looked in awe. A portal opened up and Eris stepped out. Thanos in the projection spoke up, “If you are looking for Kali, she left, if you are looking for Zeus or Mara, they are also not here.”

Eris walked over and kissed Thanos, “I am here for you silly.”

Thanos smiled, “And what is that you want today?”

“I have a juicy apple for you,” she pulled an apple out of her pocket with a tentacle.

I looked at Captain and whispered, “Thanos is the one with the tentacle kink?”

Thanos spoke up, “I heard that Steve, focus on the screen.”

I looked at the Thanos on the screen, he took the apple, then he crushed it with his hand. “Kali has enchanted me once, I know the spells now.”

Eris gasped, “I want you to be mine forever. If you don’t want me like that, then I will eat you alive!” She started transforming into a monster with tentacles. Thanos got up and put his scepter down.

Thanos let his arm transform into a demonic arm. “Come get some, you greedy woman!” A heavy battle ensued and Thanos got the upper hand, he started shoving down the tentacles inside of him, into a portal. Eris tried to flee, but Thanos seemed to be too strong for her. Thanos chuckled, “Now you are inside of me forever! Let’s see how you like that!” Eris let out one final scream. Then the screen closed.

We all looked at Thanos. He shrugged, “It was in self-defense.”

Eris looked at me, “As you can see, Thanos is a big meanie pants.”

I sighed, “You are a fucking psycho, did you know that? It is time we get you back into your cage.”

I stretched my hand and shot a silver energy beam at her, she easily deflected it. Captain stood by my side and fired a red beam. Agent S joined us and started firing bullets. Then adventure dude joined us, he started shooting some kind of energy beam I did not recognize, it did not feel like energy at all, it must be something else. Steve with the white wings joined me and fired an angelic looking beam at Eris, she tried to fight the assault off, but it didn’t work.

Thanos joined us, and he fired a huge giant red beam. Lory joined us and shot a moon and green beam. Haley ran over and started firing void and red beams. Abby smiled, “Holy shit, this is awesome,” she joined and started firing black tentacle beams. Eris tried to fight us off, she stood her ground. I smiled, “Guys?”

Everyone answered, “Yes?”

“Let’s do it right and get her back into her cage!” We all screamed, and all of our energies fused and bullets flew through them. The whole mind space started to shake.

Eris screamed, “No. I will get out again, and the next time I will be ready for this.”

As we all let our energy fade, we looked at the mirror closing with Eris inside it. Lory smiled at me, “Well, that problem is solved.”

I nodded, “Should we get this place in order guys?”

They all nodded, and I escorted them to the right mirrors. They all sat down in their respective places, their task of defending the fort complete. Eventually, Captain, Lory, Abby, Haley and I just stood there. Captain looked at me, “Are you going to put me back too?”

I sighed, “No, you are going to keep bugging me anyway. Are you up for that battle yet?”

Captain smiled, “I am too drained for that. Besides, you have to spend some time with your family. Don’t get me wrong, I am going to kick your ass, just not today.”

I smiled and shook his hand, “A temporary truce then.”

He nodded, “A truce, for now.”

He made a portal, “You guys should leave.”

Abby nodded and jumped through the portal. Lory looked at me, “I have learned a lot about you today Steve.”

I sighed, “I have also learned a lot.”

Haley chuckled, “You are insane dad.”

“Thanks, I am starting to see that.” I took Lory’s hand, “Let’s leave my mind, it needs to auto-repair after all the damage the tentacles inflicted.” The three of us went through the portal, leaving Captain behind in my mind.
