Alice walked into the forest, away from the cheering people. She punched a tree a couple of times and screamed as blood dripped from her left eye. “Goddammit, Steve, I hate you! You are one motherfucking son of a bitch!”
Freya appeared, “You need to calm down, Alice.”
She sighed and looked at Freya, “Your eye is not looking so well.”
She giggled, “Look who is speaking.”
Alice hung her head, “How can he have beaten us? We are not at full strength, still, he should not have been a match for us.”
Freya put her hand on Alice’s shoulder. Alice put her hand on Freya’s hand and light glowed through them, and they could feel something shattering. Alice fell down on her knee, she got flooded with power. Freya kneeled beside her, “He might have humiliated us, but he also helped us, this loss, made us unlock our true power. That grenade weakened the rune enough for us to shatter it.”
Alice tried to heal her eye, but it did not work. She punched the tree again, “How can I not heal it?”
Freya sighed, “It must have been a very traumatic injury then. At least that is how I feel about it.”
Alice looked at her, “We can go back, we can absorb the void and totally wipe out Brickton! We can beat the living crap out of Steve, then we will get Micheal back!”
Freya shook her head, “That is not the right strategy, they will just rebuff us with something we will not expect. It is best if we show we have changed, or rather, act like it. Then, when they are at their lowest, we will strike.”
Alice nodded, “That sounds like a plan, we need to show them we have changed.” Alice grew her wings back and cleaned up her wounds, then Freya stepped inside of her. After a deep sigh, Alice clenched her fists, “We will get our revenge, Steve will learn what happens when he lets this woman pass by, he will feel my scorn. And I will have him because fuck that guy, but I still love him.”
Alice walked back to Brickton, shaking off her anger. She saw Abby walk over to the sheep and pet one of them. Alice sprinted over to her. Abby looked at her, “You look a bit better.”
Alice looked at her, “Yes, thank you. Do you really dislike me that much?”
Abby shrugged, “You are bad, but not good either. You screw people over if it is handy for you.”
Alice hung her head, “Steve has shown me, it might be better to be nice to people. This is me trying to be nice, you like sheep, right?”
Abby tilted her head, “I am uncertain if that is a trick question.”
Alice shook her head, “I am truly trying to help.”
Abby sighed, “Fine, I like to eat sheep.”
Alice reviewed the sheep, “Is there one you like?”
Abby pointed at the one she was petting. Alice nodded, “Do you want the sheep alive or dead?”
Abby smiled, “Alive is good.”
Alice smiled, “Great, take her.”
Alice opened the gate and gently led the sheep out of the enclosure. Abby looked at her, “Are you certain?”
Alice nodded vigorously, “I will square it over with Funk.”
Abby nodded, “Thank you, Alice,” then she walked away while guiding the sheep to her hideout.
Alice scratched her head and talked inside of her head, “Freya?”
“Yes?”
“Is she really going to consume that sheep?”
“I believe she is indeed going to swallow that sheep whole, I have no clue how, and I don’t want to know.”
Alice sighed and walked away, trying to find Funk. She went to his house and knocked on his door. Funk opened up, he chuckled, “Your new look suits you.”
Alice sighed, “I deserved it for being so grumpy and mean. I helped Abby pick out a sheep, she took it to her home. We promised her a sheep, right?”
Funk nodded, “That is nice of you.”
Alice let a fake smile form, “Is there anything I can do for you, Funk?”
He nodded, “Yes, Square needs a bath, and I am busy meditating, and Abby, well, she is probably eating that sheep by now.”
Alice nodded, “Can I find everything in Abby’s house?”
Funk grinned, “Go right ahead, the key is under her mat, real cliché, I know. You are helping me immensely by doing this.”
Alice smiled, “Alright, Funk.” He looked at her walking away and sighed, she truly thinks she can earn his forgiveness.
Alice made her way to Abby’s house and indeed, under the mat, she found a key. Alice walked inside and saw Square sleeping in his basket. She made her way to the bathroom and saw a tub. Alice sighed, “Do I just fill it with water and brush the dodo?”
Alice started filling the tub with lukewarm water, not wanting to scorch the dodo with hot water, or freeze it with cold water. Then, Alice grabbed a washcloth and some towels to dry Square. “Square? Your bath is ready!”
Alice walked into the room and saw he just kept on sleeping. She gently picked him up. “It is time for your swim!”
She brought Square to the bath and put him in. As soon as he landed in the water, he started splashing water around while gobbling happily. Square splashed water all over Alice. She sighed, “Freya, being nice is hard.”
She heard a sigh back, “Just keep at it and earn their trust, and soon we will rule as an empress. Now, clean the chicken.” Alice grunted and started cleaning Square.
Alice got drenched in water while cleaning Square until he seemed to be clean again. Then Alice put him in the sink, where she had laid down the towels. He just assumed a turtle like position while Alice sat down on the closed toilet and stared at him. “Yeah, you have a nice life, sleeping, wandering around the town, getting cleaned by people, being fed when needed. You are just a dodo, what makes you special?”
Square gobbled at Alice as if he tried to answer. Alice smiled, “If only I could speak your language, you could tell me what secret Abby is hiding.”
Square suddenly bared unusual sharp teeth and gobbled angrily while black tentacles came out of his back. Alice shot back in fear, “Woah, holy motherfucking shit, you would rather not tell me what secret she is hiding?”
Square gobbled again and relaxed.
Alice chuckled awkwardly, “You are pretty smart for a dodo, and fucking creepy. Will you be fine if I put some bread crumbs in your bowl?” Square nodded. Alice got up, “Alright, if Funk asks you, can you tell him I was nice to you?” Square gobbled and nodded. Alice petted him and walked outside. She let out a deep sigh as she locked the door and put the key back. That was intense.
Then she made her way to the hangar, as she walked inside, she looked at Bella working on the airship. “Hello there, may I help you?”
Bella looked at her, “You are seriously asking me if you can help me? Not the other way around?”
Alice sighed and nodded, “Yes, what can I do for you?”
Bella smiled, “Hop on deck and lift this heavy propeller and I can do some science stuff underneath it.”
Alice jumped on the deck by using her wings and lifted the propeller. “Damn, Bella, this thing is heavy.”
Bella smiled, “Thanks now, I don’t need that crane we built for this piece.”
Alice looked at Bella doing all kinds of things. “Bella?”
“Yes Alice?”
“Why did you lift two thumbs when Steve was considering if he would put a bullet in my head or not?”
Bella sighed, “You are helping immensely with getting Brickton back in working order. But, you just assumed the queen bee position, next to that, you are always asking for help. Not helping other people, and you’re asking for help always comes with a, I am going to shoot a beam in your head, or I’ll stab you. They usually end up like this, help me, or I will murder you.”
Alice tilted her head as she thought on how to reply, “I apologize for that, if you ever need my help, just ask.”
Bella got up and looked at her, “And that is not the only thing. You are looking for Micheal, right? Don’t deny it, I am not dumb, I am building an airship.”
Alice sighed, “Yes, I want Micheal back, I just have this, urge I want to see him and get him back.”
Bella nodded, “I can understand that, considering your lengthy past with him. But you know he is, otherwise occupied. It is a neat trick you pulled off with the void. We were going to test his fighting skills against the void. You played me. I don’t like being played. I am glad to hear, your attempts to find information on Micheal have failed. You know how dangerous he is. You see Alice,” Bella walked closer, “Not too long ago, you were dead, you must understand that by now.”
She nodded, “I do.”
Bella nodded, “Do you want to know, who stabbed a sword through your heart and stopped your healing prowess, and held you in his arms as you bled out?”
Alice nodded if she already knew the answer. Bella leaned against a cannon while trying to find the words, “It was Micheal deary, he killed you. You have been brought back to keep an eye on Steve, not to dig up Micheal. You need to let Steve finish his task of saving this reality, and then let him disappear on the horizon with Lorraine. For if you do find Micheal, we are all going to die, and it will be on you. But you know Micheal, he is going to find a way to take the blame on himself. And that will only strengthen his resolve, and he will literally end existence to stop his suffering.”
Alice sighed, “But we can keep him on the right path!”
Bella sighed, “You can put down the propeller now. If you do manage to keep Micheal on the right path, then yes, he is going to do a lot of good. Do you remember how those attempts worked out for me? Or any of the other women he has been with? He fucking murdered me, with a steamroller! Micheal blew up planets, tens of planets, murdering billions. He committed genocide a few times. Who knows what his children are up to? Alice, he is too strong of a force to be controlled properly, he is going to spin out of control, sooner rather than later. Micheal is gone for now, and the only one with information on where he has disappeared to is Steve. Of course, we both know where Micheal is, but without Steve, we cannot find him, ever. Please consider your actions carefully before unleashing him again on the universe.”
Alice sighed, “Alright Bella, I will properly think about unleashing Micheal on this world. Thank you for your warning, it will be helpful for deciding in the future, and for the record, I apologize for playing you. However, it seems Steve is hard to break.”
Bella nodded, “He is, I don't half-ass my work. Just, don’t tell him. I appreciate your apology.” Alice smiled and offered a hug. Bella hugged her as Alice clasped her wings around Bella. She smiled at her, “Your eye is looking a bit troubled, you might want to get it checked out.”

Alice left the hangar, hoping she cleared things with Bella a bit. She started looking around and found Haley. She ran over to her, “Hello there.”
Haley turned around and looked around, “Oh, it’s you. What do you want?”
Alice sighed, “I have been rude to you. You were right, your dad fights me differently compared to how he fights with you. When he fought with you, he seemed to be having fun, messing around. When your dad fought me, he was bloody serious and hell-bent on kicking the crap out of me. Moreover, I botched your greeting.” Alice stretched her wings and then her hand.
Haley smiled, she stretched her wings, then she showed her tail before taking Alice’s hand and shaking it. “My name is Haley Rockwell.”
Alice smiled, “My name is, well, Alice, I have no real last name.”
Haley let go, “Your eye looks a bit problematic, may I?”
Alice did not know what Haley meant, but it seemed to be a good time to show her, she trusts her. “Alright, Haley, go ahead.”
Haley came closer, “This is going to hurt.”
Haley put her right hand on Alice’s left eye that Steve had shot a bullet in. Slowly, Haley let a void tendril enter her eye, and Alice screamed in pain. Haley grabbed Alice with her left hand and held her still. “Don’t move it is only going to make it more painful.” Some people came to look at the loud screaming. Haley grunted, “I almost got it, just a little bit longer.” Then Haley pulled back, and a bullet shell fell to the ground.
Alice panted in pain, “Goddamn, that hurts.”
Haley chuckled, “That will help with the healing, that eye, no matter your power level, will not come back.” Haley came closer and started to whisper. “If you shift your form, Freya, you might find you have an eye again, but your true form is not going to have a left eye.” Then she did a step back.
Alice stared at her, “How do you know?”
Haley smiled, “That bullet, it hung against your brain, one inch to the right, and you would have been dead. There is a lot of information in your nexus, you are ancient.”
Alice sighed, “Did you just learn a lot about me by putting a tentacle in my brain?”
Haley chuckled, “No that was a tendril, and I just touched your brain, now your wound can properly turn into a scar, you are welcome. Not many people here would show you mercy in this way.”
Alice smiled, “Thank you for helping me.”
Haley nodded, “Oh, there is one more thing, can you follow me into that alleyway?”
Alice shrugged, “Sure.” They walked into the alleyway, away from prying eyes.
Haley turned towards Alice, she came closer. “Leave Micheal be.”
Alice looked at her, “What?” “How do you know about Micheal?”
“If you had properly greeted firstly, I could have told you. I grew up in the void’s womb. It fears a man named Micheal. And you are looking for him. Imagine, an element being afraid. But there is something behind that element, not a human, or a magic being, something, bigger. You don’t know, either. The void knows. It is scared because Micheal has some connection to it. You might be powerful, Alice, but that thing, it will devour your essence before you make even one move. If you let Micheal go, that thing will fade out of existence. If you release him, then, it is going to end like this.”
Haley put her hand on Alice and visions poured into Alice’s mind. She fell down on one knee. “What, that is how I’ll die, how all of existence will end? Like, for real?”
Haley nodded, “If you follow this path, then yes, this will be how you die, how we all die, the end is a bit vague, all of it is like a haze.”
Alice looked at her, “How can you show me the future?”
Haley smiled, “I can’t, I just shot a jolt of energy through your brain, activating your foresight ability and focusing it very far into the future.”
Alice got up, “Thank you but, I am certain, I can avoid this future.”
Haley nodded, “Just, be careful of what you do, this is not just about you, but existence as we know it, might end. Do you know who those people were? I saw, a woman with white hair sitting on the couch, a demon, a goddess, and some kind of, wolf person, he looked like a Wolfine. Did they look familiar? Did you see it, the explosion? Please, Alice, for the love of god, change your ways, or you will lead us to that explosion. I don't know how, I don't know why, or even how to stop it. But you feel it right, I am in the middle of this shit. And you are the person who brings us the end.
Alice shook her head wildly, “No, but you guys were really chill about existence being blown up, drinking a beer, eating cookies.”
Haley sighed, “You have a great gift Alice, you can see the outcome of all existence if you just focus properly, this is just one of many outcomes, the most destructive one. Now, leave Micheal be. I might seem innocent and clingy to my family, but piss me off, and you will see another side of me.”
Alice gulped and nodded, she actually felt threatened by this eighteen-year-old girl, she could feel the raw focused power brimming inside of her. “Thank you, Haley, I am going to find your mom and talk to her.”
Haley tilted her head and smiled at Alice before wrapping her tail around her left leg and walking away. Alice shook her head, and just like that, the Haley she had seen wandering around, was back. Like a switch, she flipped.
Alice waited until Haley disappeared out of sight. “Freya?”
“Yes?”
“What the fuck is her deal?”
“She is special, you feel it, right, Alice?”
“Yes, she is, unique, to say the least. We should go find Lorraine.”
Alice walked out of the alleyway and bumped into Paul. “Oh, hey Paul.”
He smiled at her, “Good to see you are not dead, I thought Steve was going to pull that trigger.”
Alice sighed, “He had every right with how I treated him and the others around here. I apologize for being a hypocrite, telling people they should not kill, and then killing that bandit, or hurting the people in Goldia. I am sorry Paul, you are right, I am too dark and gloomy. This wound is making me see.”
Paul chuckled, “see less!”
Alice grunted, “Yes, but my eye has opened up, so, sorry.”
Paul nodded, “Apology accepted. It is alright, Alice, keep up with helping people, and you will get their trust.” Alice smiled and nodded, then Paul walked away. In the distance, she saw Lorraine, just chilling while leaning against a house, Steve’s house.
Alice walked over to Lorraine. “Hello there.”
Lorraine looked at her, “What are you doing here?”
“I just came to apologize, I should not have treated you with such disrespect. Steve had every right to pull that trigger.”
Lorraine nodded, “He should have if you asked me.” Lorraine unsheathed her claws, “I don’t mind finishing the job.”
Alice held up her hands, “I am trying to do better here, not start a fight.”
Lorraine smiled, “My daughter might be helpful, I taught her that. But, you might find me to be less, forgiving. Your silly little act is not going to work on me.”
Alice shook her head, “What act?”
Lorraine walked closer, “This act, of trying to be nice. Waiting for the right moment to strike.”
Alice shook her head, “That is not what I am doing at all. Steve made me see that I just need to let him be happy, and help other people.”
Lorraine came even closer and whispered, “You should be dead. You know, the void place, it had this, stench. Not like Haley, she smelled, fresh, newly born. But this, what is it, cologne?” Yes, your cologne. It hung around that place, as if you had been watching us. When we were in that dream world. Then the hole in the wall, a small fist, your fist. Lingering energy that mingled with the void energy, red energy, your signature. What were you digging for in Steve’s brain? Was I an accident?”
Alice just grunted, but no words came out. Lorraine chuckled, “I thought so, you have been caught, Alice. Steve is mine, and you will be dead soon.”
Lorraine walked away, Alice followed her. “Look, I am going to fix things, it was not me at all.”
Lorraine just kept walking further away from her, and Alice followed her.
Alice sighed, “Where are you going, Lorraine?”
She turned around, “Yeah, that is a good question. The better question is, why is there an energy net around you?”
Alice shook her head, “What?” Suddenly, a net fell down over Alice.
She chuckled, “I can easily break this!” She shot a red energy beam, but it just deflected back. Alice looked around, “What is going on?”
Lorraine smiled, “Ah, you see, when we got here, I sent a message to the king of the Fairy Kingdom. I got one of his sworn enemies in my camp, oh, and she is powerful as well.” Two women appeared out of the shadow, “He gladly sent some of his elite warriors to take out, the thing, you are. They won’t tell me, but the fact they come out to help, says enough.”
One of the women came forward, she snapped her fingers and a small one-man rocket appeared. “Hello there, my name is Opal!” Purple, curly hair clumsily hangs over a chiseled, sad face. Smart aquamarine eyes, set rooted within her sockets.
The other woman walked forward, “And my name is Rocky.” Purple, well-groomed hair hangs over a sculpted, gloomy face. Glistening hazel eyes, set high within her sockets.
Alice started to try to power up, but her energy just deflated. Haley came out of the shadows, “Awesome, it worked!”
Alice looked at her, “What did you do!?”
“Oh, you know, I just left a few void worms in your brain, your energy is going to kill them soon. However, since your energy is busy, good luck using it.”
“You bitch, you betrayed me.”
Haley smiled, “I am a good actor, I hope this will kill you. I never said how you would die if you will follow a different path, this is most likely how you die.”
Opal and Rocky put the screaming and struggling Alice inside the rocket. Lorraine walked over to Haley, “You did well, munchkin.” Opal and Rocky both grabbed some kind of sun like crystal out of their pockets. They jammed it on the rocket, and then they sent pink energy into the rocket, and it launched into the sky.
Alice started panting and panicking, “Freya!?”
“I don’t know what to do, Alice, this thing is going to blow up soon.”
Alice looked out of the window and she saw space. She started banging on the rocket, but it did not open. “Freya, look! The space station!
“If we can make it there, we might have a chance. We can survive in outer space for a little while, can we transform?”
“No, I need my energy for that but,” Alice looked at her right arm. It transformed into a demonic looking arm with a gigantic claw at the end. “This will have to do.”
She started smashing the rocket door, again, and again. Until it bulged and opened up. The vacuum of space sucked up Alice. “Come on, Freya, we need to make it to the space station.”
Alice started trying to get to the space station, but when she looked at the rocket, it started to explode, a sun explosion. “I am sorry, Freya, it might seem we are not going to make it.”
“Just keep giving it your all, Alice, we must keep trying.” Alice tried to float over to the space station, but she got hit by the explosion.
