Haley had picked up the tree, and followed Melin to Reaperhelm. Haley was lost in thought, Melin seems to have a reason that she tried to kill Steve. She knows more than she is letting on, but Melin promised she is going to tell her everything. She just needs to show that she can be trusted. When they got to Reaperhelm, Haley looked around, everyone seemed to be very busy. Melin put a hand on her shoulder, “Hey, it will be fine, alright?”
Haley smiled at her, “Where can I leave this tree?”
Melin pointed at Bella, “She seems to be making lumber for the houses. Can you trust me for a moment? All will be revealed in time. We should go to the temple soon.”
Haley nodded, “I am going to trust you Melin, things are not making much sense right now, but my instincts are battling my heart.”
Haley just stood there, thinking, until Melin took her hand, “Come with me.” Haley nodded and followed Melin to the large temple.
Melin looked around, “This temple is normally not for people that just got here, but Hecate wants to meet with you. She says, you might be the most important person alive.”
Haley laughed, “A god telling you that I am that important? Like, I am just a normal girl.”
Melin looked at her, “Firstly, you are a woman, secondly, what is normal about being part demon and part wolf, or perhaps adding some human to that mix? Or the fact you have had an upbringing like a true warrior? Apollo mentioned, he is scared that if you give it your all, all limits broken, no holding back, unleash everything you have, he might lose in a battle against you. Something a god with his stature would never say. This temple is special, it does not look the same to anyone, while you are in the same room. Just, trust your instincts.”
Haley looked down, “Me, that strong? No way, I am that strong.”
Melin lifted her head, “You have already proven to me, you are a strong woman. What happened when you stopped holding back against Brent? Your body can handle much more than you realize.”
Haley smiled, “I took him down.”
Melin nodded, “But?”
Haley shed a single tear, “I held back.”
“Why did you hold back Haley, he had just killed Shirley? Why did you hold back?”
“I, guess, I was scared. Scared of what I am, who I am. There is so much, unbridled energy inside of me, what if I lose control?”
Melin smiled, “You are the perfect balance, the perfect creature. Nothing like you has, or ever will exist, you are superior in every way. When you step into this temple, some facts will be revealed, facts, but these are facts you cannot share with anyone, these are only a tiny drop of information, that are for your eyes and ears only.”
Haley nodded, “I am glad, someone sees me as perfect. I always felt, as if I needed to be better.”
Haley and Melin stepped out of the temple after meeting with the gods. Haley looked at Melin, “Just, holy fuck. And that was only a small part?”
Melin nodded, “You need to gain our trust, but we also need to gain your trust. Can I do something for you?”
“No, I have to go home and process some things.”
Melin grinned, “I have sent someone to pick up Square, don’t forget to feed him”
Haley giggled, “Awesome!”
Melin let out a warm smile while tilting her head, “I hope Abby appreciates that.”
Haley hugged Melin, “Thank you, but I need some time to think about what I have just been told.” Melin looked Haley in her eyes, “You know, I like you, right?”
Haley smiled whole holding Melin in her embrace, “Of course I know, moving on is important. I like you too,” she kissed Melin, and then she left towards the home she had been appointed to.
Haley found her home and walked inside, meeting Square sitting on a cozy basket. “Yeah, I know you are going to try to listen to me. I will just, use my inner thoughts.”
She looked around, a big kitchen, a huge dining section. A second floor, where probably the beds are. There is even a couch with a television set. Haley sat down and started thinking. Me, the ultimate life form? They are going to tell me why and what I am if I complete the trial. It’ll take two years to set up. Apollo, he has the same power as Alice. But, he is much stronger. How can he see that many possibilities? How can I be so important to every portable future he sees? Hecate is the woman who sends portal energy to everyone. She lives outside of space and time, yet, she sees she is going to die. How can someone be so calm when they have predicted their death?
This whole universe, it is much bigger than I expected. It seems the logic behind, there is a reality next door, there must be a universe next door is actually a good one. I am just, an ordinary woman, why can’t they understand, I am not the person they are looking for? Melin looks at me as if I have all the answers to the problems everyone has. How can someone have that much faith in me? What will the trial be? There is one important thing I have learned though, I know who Micheal is, and where he is. Haley took the wooden sword out of her inventory. Where are you, dad? I need your guidance. The path I have chosen, it might split us apart farther than I initially thought. And mom, please take care of him. Haley shed a few tears, gone is the life of simplicity, I got dragged into something much bigger than I bargained for.

Someone walked into the house, Abby. She smiled at Haley, “Hey, you found our home? I see Square has indeed been delivered to us.” She walked over to Square and petted him on his back, he gobbled happily. “Haley?”
Abby walked over towards Haley and waved her hand, “Hello, Haley!? Is anybody home?”
Haley looked up, she got up. She gave Abby a gut punch. “Oh my god, Haley, what was that for?”
Haley looked at her, “You know what that was for. Now get out of my personal space.”
Abby nodded, “Fine, what the fuck is wrong with you anyway?”
“What the fuck is wrong with me!? What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“With me?”
“You fucking punched me.”
“You fucking deserved that.”
“Well fuck you, shall I punch you next?”
Haley flared her wings to life and spawned her void blade, “Why don’t I skewer you like a shish-kebab?”
Abby spawned a dark blade, “Alright, if you want to play it that way, we should take it outside.”
Haley looked around, “That is probably a good idea.” They both walked outside. Haley cleared her throat, “Now, where were we? Oh yeah,” she flew at insane speed towards Abby and sliced her sword down.
Abby blocked the incoming attacking, and they started trading blows, energy clung into the air along with the sound of their blades. Haley started infusing herself with red energy, then she added more moon energy. Abby kept on trying to hit Haley, but every time she increased her speed, Haley increased her speed to be just a little faster as her.
Haley jumped back and shot a huge water blob at Abby, she jumped over it. Abby charged towards Haley, she raised her blade, and they ended up in a bind. People had come to look at what was going on, including Molly, Lisa, and Bella.
Haley smiled, “You won’t be able to beat me.”
Abby grunted, “I am holding back, since I don’t want to actually hurt you.”
Haley giggled, “You are never going to see my next move coming.”
“Oh, and what is that move, Haley?” Abby suddenly got hit from the back by a massive glob of water. Haley pushed forward, and they rolled through the wet grass. Abby had let her sword fall, but the water did not bother Haley at all. Haley rammed her hand onto Abby’s forehead. Void energy and dark tentacles started colliding with each other, the whole ground started to shake.
Haley saw Melin push her way through the crowd. Abby managed to free her right hand and tried to pull Haley’s hand away. Haley screamed, and the surrounding ground started cracking as Haley infused herself with an insane amount of energy. Dark tentacles tried pushing Haley off, but Haley blocked them with her energy.
Haley forced her way into Abby’s mind and looked around. She is seemingly thinking about her dad, romantically. She barged into Mimic’s mind and read it. After a few seconds, she was satisfied. Haley retreated and removed her hand while doing a backflip.
Abby slowly got up while screaming, “Are you fucking insane!? If you had done that in the wrong way, you could have fucking shattered me!”
Haley let her blade disappear and tucked her wings in. “I am sorry, Abby, I needed to know for sure.”
“I fucking told you, Mimic is no longer connected to the old hive mind.”
Haley nodded, “Now I know for sure you are not lying, or a meat puppet.”
Melin walked over, “Haley, are you alright?”
“Yeah, I am fine.”
“What did you do to Abby?”
“I read her mind and made sure.”
Abby grunted, “How could you even hold me down?”
Haley smiled, “I exploited your inner weakness. You might be immortal and much stronger, but I am much smarter.”
Haley walked over to Abby and stretched her hand, “Friends?”
Abby took it, “Fine, friends. But you fight dirty, Haley.”
“I know, but you have to admit it, I won.”
Abby sighed, “Only because you assaulted my mind.”
“But, I won.”
Abby grumbled, “Fine, you won.”
Melin looked at Haley, “Is this your way of processing things?”
Haley nodded, “Fighting makes my mind much clearer. Abby does not mind getting beat up.”
“Excuse me?”
“What? I can fucking stab you, and you will come back.”
Abby sighed, “Fine, just let me know the next time you want to fight. No mind assaults, please.”
Haley nodded, “Alright, boy, you are a sore loser.”
