Elijah and the other players burst into laughter after they saw Tyler’s poor attempt at creating a water ball. Tyler was shocked by their laughter, but that shock quickly turned into embarrassment. Tyler quickly spoke up in a defensive tone in an attempt to regain some of his lost face.
“Hey, it may not be much, but it’s a good start.”
“Haha! Y-you should have seen your face,” BB managed to say a few words as she gasped for breath. “You looked like you were putting all your effort into taking the biggest shit of your life and only a small drop came out.”
“Ha, ha, woo. Oh, that was a good laugh.” Elijah said.
“You guys are just too dumb to appreciate what I discovered.,” Tyler rebuked. “I was able to manipulate the mana around us without activating a skill given by the game. This means we can possibly create our own spells.”
“Yeah, your right,” Atom agreed. “By the way, what’s the name of this spell you created? Ah, I know. It should be called the great water drop spell, right?”
“No, you’re wrong,” Elijah answered. “This is a water bullet spell. The moment the goblin leader appears that drop of water will blow a hole in his head.”
Not wanting to be left out, BB was quick to put forth her own theory. “Oh, oh, I know-”
Elijah and the others took turns joking about Tyler’s attempt at creating a spell. None of the player’s thought Tyler was being ridiculous. In fact, their inner thoughts were positive toward Tyler’s ideas.
Boss Bitch and Atom thought that Tyler was correct and were interested in trying to create spell of their own. Elijah already knew that it was possible to create spells and other types of skills, so Tyler’s discovery wasn’t anything new to him. However, he was impressed by the fact that Tyler was able to come up with the idea of creating spells so soon.
Sadly, the way Tyler chose to present his findings was simply too amusing. Elijah wanted to praise him, but he found the situation too funny. Therefore, he felt obligated to join BB and Atom in making fun of their fourth companion for the next few minutes.
“Okay, okay,” Elijah said. “On a serious note, I think you’re right about us being able to create skills. But you can forget about creating a spell to deal with the goblin leader. You don’t have time or the energy. How much of your energy did you use to create that drop of water? A third? Maybe half?”
“Ahem, well, it’s a work in progress,” Tyler said.
“Nothing wrong with that. I just think you should postpone it till after we’ve dealt with the goblins.”
Tyler and the other players agreed with Elijah’s suggestion. They had a battle coming up and it was best to be at their full strength. Tyler was willing to stop using his energy to create a spell, but he wasn’t willing to stop using mind or his mouth.
Tyler led Elijah and the others in a conversation about the creation of skills. He badgered all of them about how they felt when they used their skills and gave specific attention to Elijah. The intensity at which Tyler questioned them was strange, but they all benefited from the conversation. They talked about skill right up to the moment the goblins arrived.
“They’re here! The goblins are here!”
One of the warriors ran into the village announcing the arrival of the goblins. Elijah and the players were close to the entrance of the village, so they were on of the first people to receive the news. The four of them exchanged a brief look before they wordlessly moved outside the village.
Everyone already knew what their responsibilities were. The warrior that ran into the village was supposed to notify everyone and make sure they headed to their positions. Elijah was confident the warrior would accomplish his task, but he realized that sending one person to run around and shout at everyone wasn’t the best way to spread information.
Shaking his head, Elijah decided to shove that thought into the pile of things he had to do once he dealt with the goblins. Elijah and the other players left the village and arrived at a second village wall that some of the villagers had been working on constructing for the past few days. There were a few traps placed after the second wall and even more traps place in the space between the first village wall and the second village wall.
Climbing up a set of quickly made stairs, Elijah and the other players got into position. The players would work with the village warriors to attack the goblins with arrows. While they were fighting, Elijah would be doing nothing.

Ruler’s Presence was the first and only skill Elijah brought to the peak stage. This came as a pleasant surprise to him as he thought his first skill to reach the peak stage would be his Supreme Combat skill. Unfortunately, his Supreme Combat skill was still at the last stage and dint show any signs of improving.
“Have you recovered?” Elder Jeb arrived by Elijah’s side with Elder Jamal and Justin behind him.
“Yup,” Elijah lied. He didn’t want to worry Elder Jeb or anyone else, so he didn’t think it was a problem to tell a little white lie. Then again, lying to his followers was a bad habit to pick up. Therefore, he continued to explain his situation.
“My senses aren’t at one hundred percent, but I have gained the ability to use them to a certain extent. You don’t have to worry. I still have my astral sense to make up for any difficulties that I may encounter.”
“I guess that will have to do,” Elder Jeb said. “Make sure you keep your astral sense active at all times. Also, you should stay by my side during the battle so I can protect you.”
“Like I said before you don’t have to worry about me. We already confirmed that the goblins don’t have any long-range attack methods. The fire balls from the goblin leader are the only thing that we have to worry about. For that, you, Elder Jamal and Justin can’t afford to be distracted by anything else.”
Shaking his head, Elder Jeb disagreed with Elijah. “My sword is best at close range. Until the goblin leader comes close, I will stay by your side.”
“Your both right,” Elder Jamal interjected. “Justin and I will place all of our attention on the leader and try to stop him from causing too much damage with his fire magic. While we do that Jeb can stay back to help out if anything goes wrong.” There was a short pause before Elder Jamal shook his head and continued speaking. “I still can’t figure out how some random goblin managed to stumble upon the ability to use spells. Well, it’s not important. I’m sure we’ll be able to kill that goblin and whatever he obtained will be ours.”
“Other than the leader, the other goblins won’t be much of a problem,” Justin added. “Even if we didn’t build the second wall or create any traps, we would still be able to easily deal with the other goblins. Of course, none of us plan to be careless, but I don’t think the goblins will fight better than they did when we sneak attacked them.”
“Exactly!” Elder Jamal exclaimed while giving Justin a pat on the back. “There’s no way we can lo-”
“Alright, alright, no need to raise any flags,” Elijah quickly interrupted. “Nothing is guaranteed. After all, were hoping that the goblins place all their focus on the wall we built and don’t try to attack us from a different direction. I’ll stay out of the way with Elder Jeb. However, both of you should exercise extreme caution. Also, you should try to…no forget about what I was going-”
“Goblins!”
Instantly everyone’s attention was focused on the forest. Out of it came short green figures that were prepared to inflict violence. However, Elijah wasn’t able to see them.
The only thing Elijah could make out was a blurry mass. Although Elijah had Supreme Astral Sense, the range of this talent was limited compared to his original five senses. He could use his Supreme Eyes talent, but Elijah already learned that doing so would only cause him more harm in his recovering state.
“Huh, it looks like they made some shield,” Elder Jamal said. “They didn’t have that when we attacked them.”
“That’s why we should never let our guard down when we face an enemy,” Elijah said. “Do you see anything else worthy of notice?”
“Not yet.”
“Tell everyone to speak up if they see anything strange.”
“Have someone count them,” Elder Jeb said. “It would be good to know how many goblins were facing.”
Hearing this increased Elijah’s desire to recover his senses. If he was fully healed his Supreme Eyes would instantly let him know how many goblins were in the group.
A few minutes passed as the goblins slowly approached Elijah and the walls. As they got closer Elijah was able to make out more details about the goblins. He was able to make out the different equipment, genders, and ages.
When Elijah saw a group of young goblins, he was stunned. He knew that women or female goblins and children would be in the group. However, he never thought they would be dragged into the battle.
“Although goblins are considered monsters, killing women and children in war has always been something that has been frowned upon.” A frown appeared on Elijah’s face as he thought about killing woman and children. “As a ruler I must ruthlessly eliminate all enemies. However, diplomacy is another tool that rulers are able to use. If I can resolve this conflict peacefully that I can avoid some unnecessary bloodshed.”
“Stop right there,” Elijah announced in the goblin tongue. “If you continue moving forward, we will attack.”
