As Elijah finished reading the notifications that appeared in front of him, his vision went dark. When his vision returned, he was looking at Gers defeated yellow eyes. Elijah smirked when he saw Gers’s lost expression.

Not because he was glad Gers was his slave. Elijah smirked, because he beat Gers at his own game. Gers set a trap for him, and Elijah shrugged it off with a smile on his face, like it was nothing. Elijah pulled his attention away from his new slave and turned it toward his companions.

“Is that it?” Boss Bitch asked. “Are you done?”

“Yup, all done.”

“Huh I didn’t expect it to be that easy. I at least thought he would refuse, and you would have to do the whole battle of wills thing?”

“What did you guys see just now?”

“What do you mean?” Tyler asked.

“Well, let’s say a lot just happened after the goblin agreed to be my slave.”

“What? No way? You literally only looked at it for a second before speaking to us.”

“Wait!” Atom interrupted Elijah before he could respond. “Don’t tell me you just did the battle of wills? How did you do it so fast? No, wait, the goblin agreed to be your slave, so why would you fight a battle of wills?”

With a smile on his face Elijah brought the players, Justin and a few other warriors out of ear shot from the goblins. He gave the group a breakdown of the entire enslaving process, but he withheld information about the increase he received before the battle began. Elijah emphasized the way Gers tried to trick him and warned the others to be on guard for other tricks.

Everyone diligently listened to Elijah’s breakdown and asked plenty of questions when he finished. Elijah did his best to answer all of their questions, but there were several questions that he failed to answer. This wasn’t surprising because this was Elijah’s first-time enslaving someone and engaging in a battle of wills. When it came to these two activities Elijah still had plenty to learn and experience.

“I’m still trying to wrap my head around the hidden scheme they came up with.” Tyler said. “Aren’t goblins supposed to be low level monsters with low intelligence?”

“Maybe in other games,” Elijah answered. “Although they seem to be lacking in several areas, in Fallen Heaven, it seems like the goblins are treated like an intelligent race. I think we’ve talked enough. You guys should quickly enslave these goblins so we can continue hunting down the remaining goblins.”

“Are you sure?” Boss Bitch asked. “You said that you could increase your cultivation speed by having more slaves. Don’t you want all of them?

“I’m not that greedy. Now, hurry up and enslave the rest of the goblins. I suggest you leave the level thirty for Justin. As for the rest of the goblins their willpower stat is at eleven or lower.”

“It would be great if you could share the status information your able to see with those eyes of yours.” Atom stated.

“Sorry no can do,” Elijah replied. “However, there might be another way form me to show you information about the goblins.” Focusing on his new slave, Elijah issued a command. “Gers! Come here and show everyone your status.”

“Huh, I don’t know if I should call this guy strong or weak.” Atom said.

“He’s definitely weak in the job area,” BB added. “I reached level sixteen in the hunter job, and that didn’t take too long. He’s probably one of the weaker goblins.”

“His job level is low, but his cultivation level is pretty high. It won’t take us too long to catch up to him in cultivation level and when we do, we should be stronger than him.”

“That’s obvious,” Tyler and the other players were quick to agree with Atom.

Unlike the other players, Elijah both agreed and disagreed with what Atom said. However, he decided not to voice his thoughts at this time. Instead, he told the others to begin enslaving the remaining goblins so they could quickly move on.

Justin and the others agreed with Elijah and began making the other goblins their slaves. Everyone entered a battle of wills with the goblins they tried to enslave, and everyone was victorious. Once all of the goblins were turned into slaves, they began hunting down the next group of goblins.

Gers quickly led everyone to the area where the next group of goblins were supposed to be. However, once Elijah and the others arrived, they found that the goblins had already left. Justin and the others checked the tracks in the area and saw that the goblins had left recently after splitting into two groups.

After a short discussion Elijah and Justin agreed that they should move as one and deal with one group at a time. The first group had twenty-five goblins in it and the second group had twenty-six. Both groups were easily defeated, and they managed to capture a total of twenty-two goblins as slaves.

“I can’t believe us old timers never thought of this,” Elder Jamal said. “Turning the goblins into our slave and making them fight for us, seems like the perfect solution to our problems. It’s true what they say. The mind really does decline with age.”

“Elder, you shouldn’t be too hard on yourself,” Justin said. “None of us would have thought of making the goblins our slave if the first goblin we managed to subdue didn’t mention it.”

When the group finished enslaving the twenty-two goblins, they went to find Elder Jamal and the others. At first, Jamal was shocked by the goblins following them, but that shock quickly turned into excitement when he realized the goblins had become their slaves. Finally, Elder Jamal’s excitement gave way to self-blame, and he began rebuking himself.

“Did you get any information from the goblins after they became your slaves?” Elder Jamal asked.

“We did,” Justin replied. He told Elder Jamal about everything they learned from the goblins they captured.

“At least we know exactly what we’re facing. It sounds like most of the goblins in the advance group have been dealt with.”

“Yes, we only need to deal with the group of goblins you were watching. What can you tell us about them?”

Elijah kept silent and listened to Justin and Elder Jamal discuss the plan for dealing with the final group of goblins. Both of them had a good grasp of the situation and Elijah didn’t feel that there was a need for him to add anything more than a few suggestions. One of the things he suggested was that they attack before the time he could be away from his territory ran out. He didn’t want to face the goblins in a weakened state.

Luckily, the final group of goblins stayed together in one location unlike the other groups of goblins. With all of the remaining goblins in one place, they would be able to attack as soon as they were ready. Elder Jamal suggested that they all rest for a few hours before they went into another battle and Elijah agreed. Once everyone was fully recovered and ready to fight, Elijah told Elder Jamal to lead them to the final group of goblins.

“Based on what I can see there should be approximately ninety goblins in the area,” Elder Jamal suggested.

“My quest says there are eighty-seven goblins remaining,” Elijah said.

“Good. I don’t see any goblins below level twenty. Does your quest give you any information about that?”

“Nope, that’s about it.”

“Fine then we’ll begin when the goblins and the people from your world get into position.”

Currently, Elijah and the others were waiting in the forest observing the final group of goblins that they were about to attack. They were waiting for Atom, the other players and the goblins they captured to distract the enemy goblins. Elijah and the others stayed in one location with their bows and arrows ready. Atom and the others circled around the clearing the goblins were in so they could approach them from the other side.

It didn’t take long for Atom and the others to get into position. Elijah watched as the players gave a very exaggerated performance as captives. They shouted curses at the goblins as they were shoved around and demanded their freedom.

There were many suspicious points about Atom and the others. They didn’t have their hands bound or their bodies restricted in any way. Although their clothing was ripped and damaged, the players didn’t look injured or defeated.

These discrepancies didn’t put any of the goblins on guard. Instead, a large portion of the goblins approached Gers and the other captured goblins in a relaxed manner. They trusted the members of their own race and didn’t feel like there was any danger from the five unbound humans. And it was at this moment Elijah gave the command to attack.

You have led a sneak attack against an enemy force

Attack increased by 30% for 10 seconds.

Arrows rained down on the backs of the enemy goblins. Panic and blood filled the air as the enemy goblins turned around and tried to defend themselves. The moment their backs were turned, and they started moving toward Elijah’s group, Atom and the goblin slaves took action.

Grabbing their weapons from the goblins next to them, Atom and the other players worked with the slave goblins to cripple or knockout the goblins from behind. Killing goblins was Elijah’s group’s responsibility. The players and the other goblins were in charge of capturing more slaves for their budding slave army. With the two groups working together from two different directions, they quickly finished off the remaining goblins. They won the battle and Elijah finished several quests.
