Evan was waiting for Rose to get out of the room she had occupied to get changed, while he was thinking about Elías and what he had learned. If there were vampire hunters, it meant that Rose wouldn't be safe not even being an adventurer, which was something she shared with Vivienne. For Evan, it all felt as if Namika had planned his meeting with Lillian just to make sure he had allies. If that was the case, he had like at least 40 pointers to give to Namika, but at least he knew that the thugs weren’t sent by her even though he had his own doubts.
“Evan. I know what you are thinking. Namika wouldn't plan this far.” Noche said as he floated around Evan.
“Well, then I have better luck than in my past life!” Evan exclaimed as he glared at Noche.
Then Rose finally got ready for the party and Evan smiled when he looked at Rose. She was wearing an orange strapless dress with a red flower pattern going across the torso, a pair of transparent stockings, and was wearing a pair of orange flats. It was clear that Rose was using makeup, but albeit a very subtle one that made her face look slightly cuter with slightly longer eyelashes, red lipstick, and a bit of red blush on her cheeks.
“You look good with that cute outfit.” Evan said as he looked at Rose. ‘It has that good innocent look that will avoid bad looks, hopefully. But she’s cute enough to attract attention to herself, I should take that into account’ Evan thought to himself while looking at Rose.
“Caroline recommended it, even if she got really invested in me wearing heels. Luckily, I could convince her to let me go with flats, saying that I am not an expert in wearing heels, so they'd be in the way of the fight. And so, it will be useful for you. Since I have the arms free, I can cast blood magic in case of need. It won't save me from getting a class on how to wear heels, with Caroline being the teacher.” Rose said, as she blushed slightly due to Evan’s compliment. ‘Evan complimented me, just like Caroline told me, yay!’ Rose thought to herself, as she was squealing internally.
“Well, if the plan works exactly how I planned it... I won't need to even use my daggers.” Evan said as he scratched his chin.
“A couple of backup plans work well. Also, I like that you like my dress.” Rose said in a happy tone, while blushing, as she looked at Evan.
Rose winked and smiled while she started looking for Caroline. Evan could just sigh and follow her and even if he disliked a bit having to follow someone else, he preferred to let Rose have her fun before he found Josh and killed him. Also, he was somewhat worried of how much influence Caroline had in the small tease that Rose did now... Oblivious to some important facts.
Meanwhile, in a roof of a church, a tall man with a hood and a dark brown armor, with a black hood covering his head, who had black eyes, who was wielding a pair of daggers was waiting for someone to come, and seemed like he was clearly irritated due to something. After a couple of minutes, an elven female with short golden hair, blue eyes, with a scar on her left cheek, who was wearing a tight dark brown armor arrived. She was wielding a pure white sword and a crimson dagger, both of which released an aura made of mana. The female looked really angry at the man, mostly because in theory today it was her free day, and she had to handle several family issues, but decided just to take a deep breath and calm down.
“Hello, Mina.” The brown armored man said while looking at the elven female.
“Let's get to the point.” Mina harshly said, as she glared at the man.
“King David has two contracts for us, and an inconvenience has appeared.” The man said while returning the glare.
“What inconvenience has appeared? Has someone found the corpse of the prince?” Mina said, with a serious face.
“Edward Leonhard is alive. How he survived is not any issue. But he must die. Do not take his other eye, just take out his heart. Directly, no questions asked, and make sure he is dead.” The man said coldly.
“And the contracts?” Mina asked, curious about the individuals she would have to deal with.
“Caroline and Legias. They must die. You should have killed him when you killed his mother.” The man replied.
“I couldn't. His uncle interfered. The reason I have a scar on my face is due to that bastard of Sumeragi. And if the Sunken Guardians got out of their seals... I would be dead by the moment I managed to kill both.” Mina said while frowning.
“And you got his arm as payback. Well, all of that is past, so no need to get like this. Luckily, we will be rewarded handsomely. Also, maybe you win your retirement in the next job after this one. You can seduce the hero and live from that, just be one of the comrades of the hero.” The man said.
“I dislike that. But it can be done. That way, my little brother can go to any university in the elven country.” Mina said while looking at the man’s daggers.
“See? Things are going well for you. Be careful with Edward. He killed two of my men and met with Alex. He is plotting something and plans to use Legias.” The man said.
“As expected of a cursed child. And I have to kill my stepbrother now. Wonderful. The prophet had already forewarned that the prince would be a big trouble for us. Well, I can always finish the job.” Mina said confidently.
“Do not let your bonds with Katas hurt you again. Last time, you messed up with Legadonia. If the rumors are true... Maybe you might have to kill her father too.” The man warned Mina, with a serious face.
“‘Black Flame Devil’ Evan... A target I would never want to kill. But what kind of form has he taken now?” Mina said, while frowning.
“He seems to be the young prince Edward now. That's what David is unsure of. Today, Caroline and Edward will be at a party hosted by the Holgan family. We will attack in the midst of a party filled with nobles, and Josh will be there.” The man said, informing Mina, as he took a deep breath.
“Astounding. It will be fun to fight against Josh. After all, all debts must be paid.” Mina said as she smirked.
“Well, good job.” The man said, congratulating already the young assassin.
Mina left, and the man could only smile even if no one could see his smile. If Mina worked on an assassination that meant that the target would die no matter what the target tried to do, there were 3 exceptions to it: Sumeragi, Legias, and Edward. But if things went as expected of Mina, both Edward and Legias would be dead and the last exception would be the most dangerous man in Elstivia.
In another roof a bit far from the one where Mina had been, Legias had seen and heard all that Mina and the man said and wanted to shoot Mina's head. But then remembered the plan of Evan and decided to wait, while Vivienne looked carefully at Legias.
“I will get her. If she attacks Josh, and he dies, we will have a lot explained. A perfect scapegoat and a good way to make Mina pay for what she did to my mother. Isn't it right, Vivienne?” Legias said while looking at Vivienne.
“Yes. We can use her as a scapegoat.” Vivienne said, while smiling.
“We will prepare well. This time, she's the prey... Not me. And I will not risk this with a gamble.” Legias said, with a serious face.
Vivienne nodded while she was just standing behind Legias, and both went to prepare for the plan. Mainly being the first step towards their freedom, both didn't want to mess this plan, and they knew that if the amount of loose ends was low... It would be far more beneficial than anything else.
But as the children were planning that, someone walked onto the roof… But it was someone close to Evan, who had gone to visit Legias. A woman who had a snow-like skin, long eyelashes, blue eyes, a body that looked clearly feminine but with an average chest, and a few freckles on the bridge of her nose.
Said woman was wearing a black vest, a red shirt with a pattern of golden prisms, black fingerless gloves with a blue orb attached on each of the backs of the gloves, black trousers, and black Oxford shoes.
“Alas, you shall not do that. Mina surpasses you in level, and she’s going to bring reinforcements to help her out. We can stop most of them, if we work together, a few will still go in… But they’ll be more than doable for Evan. Also, this is why I never wanted you to meet your grandpa. That psycho teaches way too well things he shouldn’t be teaching to such a cute boy.” The woman said with a frown on her face.
As Vivienne turned around, ready to fling a spell to the woman, Legias calmly grabbed Vivienne’s hand and shook his head. Legias knew a few of Evan’s old friends, from meetings of her mother with them, and knew Jack-o-Bomba rather well.
“Auntie Jackie. Good to see you!” Legias said, as he went towards Jackie, while releasing his grip on Vivienne.
“Oh, my dear Legias. Call me auntie again, and you are going to learn what it means to require healing.” Jackie said with a rather angry face.
“Still flat, and still old, auntie. At least compared to me. And I am not going to call you noona, I don’t know what that even means either.” Legias retorted, while Vivienne looked at Legias.
Jackie pouted and was about to use a skill to hit Legias, but then stopped herself and flinged a sphere made of red mana towards another of the roofs. It exploded, and several screams could be heard, while several hooded individuals tried to use the roof as a way to go to the party without being detected.
“A few assassins gone. Hopefully they are not dead, but you should stay away from Mina. She’s not as dangerous as Moriarty, but she fights like a godslayer. A daughter of Katas, but would be one that would make that psycho of your grandfather proud.” Jackie said while pouting.
“I know, but nonetheless, I must face these tribulations. She killed my mother, and so I ask for getting my proper revenge. Is that too much to ask?” Legias said with a serious face.
“Of course not. But I am just warning you. She’s dangerous. Evan kept you here because he has no other options, and he wants you to gain experience. Otherwise, he’d keep you away from this mess. He doesn’t care about almost anything that isn’t his family, his friends, and his journey.” Jackie said, before scoffing.
“Well, he still has emotions.” Vivienne retorted, distrustful of the bomber.
“That’s because he is in his more sane mindset. If he is pushed to the limits, he can easily fall back into his own insanity. And then, that’s when he loses all feelings. If that happens, pray that he doesn’t choose to sacrifice you.” Jackie said, as she looked with a worried face at Vivienne.
“And? Even if I didn’t stick with him, I’d be in the same situation. Henceforth, best to go with the safest option. And Evan is Evan, he’s going to fulfill his objective. At least, that’s what I think.” Vivienne said with a serious face.
“Don’t come to me crying if that happens. I warned you.” Jackie retorted, as she smirked at Vivienne.
“You and Evan would make a good couple.” Vivienne added, with a smirk on her face.
Jackie quickly reddened, as that jab was unexpected and even if she didn’t like his shenanigans… He was smart, wise, and now had a good body. Knowing Evan, Jackie was sure that Evan could be quite the wonderful husband.
“You have learned from Caroline. Now, you only need to say that to Evan.” Legias commented on Vivienne’s jab.
“Nah, he’ll kill me if I dare to do so. Also, Rose would hate me. Yes, there’s more than one girl going after that psycho.” Vivienne replied, as she kept smirking.
Jackie was red as a beet, while Vivienne simply chuckled, as the bomber wasn’t used to be placed in the hot seat. Then she remembered the pranks she did onto Evan, and blushed even more brightly, while Vivienne raised an eyebrow.
The former demon princess had just used a few things she had learned way before Evan arrived at the orphanage, by watching Caroline talking with Lillian, and it seemed really effective when using a man like Evan.
‘To be fair, I wouldn’t mind having such a cunning man as a boyfriend… If that wasn’t a yucky thing. Ugh. Adults are so yucky, seriously. All about marriages and arranged marriages. But I’d prefer someone like Flint…’ Vivienne thought to herself.
“E-Either way, I already gave you all the information! Now either scram, or stay around and risk yourselves!” Jackie said, while quickly moving in order to leave.
“I hope to see you soon, auntie! Or should call you grandma!?” Legias said, with a wide smile, not noticing what he had done.
Jackie’s answer to that was simply a chop on the head from a very embarrassed Jackie, who quickly ran away from the area after hitting Legias in the head with a hand chop. Vivienne simply laughed for a while, as Legias covered his scalp as it did really hurt.

In Gio’s base, Gio was calmly eating some cup noodles while sitting on the ground. The blacksmith got it from a godslayer merchant, from the Magic Corp, a few months ago but the item wasn’t going to expire inside the inventory. It was quite the wonderful food, placed inside a plastic bowl with the image of Kanbe (who wasn’t wearing a shirt, but was wearing black jeans and boots, smiling after having finished a bowl of said noodles) besides the name of the company that sold them… Magic Corp.
“Agh, I just eat them because it doesn’t have pork. And has that crispy cottage fries instead, and lots of spicy sauce to make it go with the ramen. But using the hero like this should be illegal! Seriously, they are aiming at the boys and girls who love the hero and his abs. Luckily, I am not into that.” Gio said, voicing his thoughts aloud, as he was rather lonely today due to Pik going to visit her friend Paytell.
“Well, that’s true. But we need to talk Gio.” A voice came from the cave hallways of the base, quite feminine but Gio knew exactly who was there.
“You are using that invisibility ring you stole from Robin. Again. Either way, not like I mind it: Veltian. You are the only executive I won’t kill on sight. Your companions are weirder, and you are a smart boy. I would call you a man, but you are too androgynous for that… Who we are kidding? If I didn’t know you, I’d mistake you for a girl.” Gio said while eating.
As Gio stopped talking, a bright light engulfed the area. After the light dissipated, Gio could see Veltian. Veltian was a young boy with short pink hair who was wearing a rather feminine blue armor with wedge heels attached onto the boots. This boy had fair skin, elongated ears as he was an elf, blue eyes, and a bit of makeup to make himself cuter. He also had a feminine body that made him look like a female, with small bee sized breasts, and a small gear tattoo below his left eye.
“You managed to look girly enough to make me think that you want to get breasts. Either way, why are you here? I am eating a bowl of noodles from the only place I don’t have to raid to get that. Since Jia returned, going to Krebs is a headache for any FA member, and they could just be nicer about being murimists.” Gio said while looking at Veltian.
“How rude you are to an old friend, Gio! I am just being a nice and cute girl! This way, I don’t have to worry about boys being bad to me!” Veltian said as ‘she’ pouted.
“You are close to be considered transgender. Should I start using they for you? Or just her?” Gio said, as a small joke between friends.
“Well, I wanted to tell you that. You can consider me a girl! Being a boy in this world is a headache when you look like me. So I decided to just be considered a girl with an extra.” Veltian said, as she smiled widely.
“Oh, congrats. If you need help, you can ask me. I’ll do what I can. But for breasts, ask Isaac. Or Evan. He’s back, after all.” Gio said, while smiling at Veltian.
“Yeah, I wanted to talk about that. He’s going to cause trouble. You need to stop him, right now. Make sure he follows the deal. If he conquers Elstivia, he’ll start a world war.” Veltian said, as she had a worried look on her face.
“Do you think he’ll consider that? Hah. He’ll ignore it and say: If you want to come after me, do so! Don’t beat the bush, you are just asking to be wrecked.” Gio said, before continuing his dinner.
“Then who will he hear out?” Veltian asked.
“No one. They touched his family. Forget about convincing him, he’ll bury you for trying.” Gio calmly replied.
“Then what can we do?” Veltian asked as she looked terrified.
“Let him do, stay out… And try to not end up in his shit list.” Gio calmly replied once more.
“Then how about you get the others to not help him out?” Veltian asked.
“Hah. No one will follow that. Remember his favorite retort with that: Delegation or get burned. No one wants the second option, so they do as he says.” Gio replied, before starting to laugh.
“How about we give him something to quell his answer?” Veltian proposed.
“Oh, planning regicide now? Because the only thing that will quell his anger now will be Katas’s head, and David Junior’s head. Both have gone against him for far too long, and now they are going to learn what it means to anger a Von Aegilard.” Gio said.
“Shit. Can’t he find a less aggressive way to fix this?” Veltian said, as she frowned.
“Well, he could. But he won’t. He isn’t going to heed our words this once. Thank Katas for it.” Gio said calmly.

Arcane Dodge: Active, 200 MP. Pinnacle skill. It can only be used while dodging. After a successful perfect dodge, which is when the user dodges an attack that should hit them by inches, the user can cast any spell immediately (it still costs mana).
Wizard (Master):
Wizard's blessing: The user's magic skills are a 20% stronger.
Grand Magician's Regeneration: The mana regeneration base speed becomes 100 MP/second instead of 1MP/minute.
Wizard Channeling: The casting speed of the user's spells doubles.
Wizard Extra Chanting: The user can cast two times the amount of spells they should be able to.
Mana Bolt: Active, 1 MP. The user shoots a bolt made of mana, which can go through physical defenses but deals a rather small amount of damage. It can get stopped by barriers made by mana or by anti-magic fields.
Heavy Mana Bolt: Active, 10 MP. The user shoots a reinforced mana bolt that goes through physical defenses and deals a moderate amount of damage. It can pierce barriers.
Mana Decoy: Active, 25 MP. The user can leave a decoy made of mana, that is a foul mimicry of life, and gets eliminated rather quickly.
Mana Sound: Active, 100 MP. The user creates a clear sound in an area that is 300 meters away from the user. This sound acts as a diversion to lure the enemies away from the user.
Homing mana bolts: Active, 50 MP. The user can leave small clumps of mana that will be turned into mana bolts. These bolts will follow and try to hit anyone who gets in an area of 50 meters near the clump of mana. The bolts won't deal much damage, but these bolts slow down those they hit.
Enhanced Flesh: Active, 1000 MP. The user can enhance their body to block physical attacks easily and run fast for a moderate amount of time.
Mana Reparation: Active, 5000 MP. The user can repair any item to its optimal state.
Teleporter (Master):
Mana Brain: The user acquires the capacity to hold a mana brain. The mana brain is an accumulation of mana that acts as a secondary brain of the size of a pea, that is inside the heart. Damage to the mana brain will cause a state of dizziness to the user, but it’ll nullify all the side effects of the mental fatigue as it runs all the subconscious thought. It’s said that the mana brain allows its users to learn twice as fast as they should be able.
Mana Fatigue Resistance: The user is more resistant to the side effects of using too much mana at once, allowing them to recover twice as fast as they should without this passive.
Spatial Resistance: The user is able to nullify teleports that affect them if they don’t want to be teleported.
Expansive Inventory: The inventory is twice as big as it should be.
Space Distortion: Active, 10 MP. The user can use this to nullify space magic that the user detects, as it distorts the space and nullifies the incoming space magic. It can be only activated as a counter.
Space Jump: Active, 5 MP. The user uses mana to jump at the speed of light to a location in a range of 50 meters.
Space Distortion Aura: Active, 15 MP. The user can create an armor that will send away projectiles, and nullify attempts of using space magic on the armor user, to themselves or an ally. This aura armor can only work for ten minutes, and can only nullify up to two space spells and withstand 300 attacks with projectiles.
Space Transaction: Active, 200 MP. The user can do a transaction between themselves or an ally and any space of similar size they have knowledge of. Fair warning: If the user doesn’t calculate well, the target may end up fused to a wall and unable to escape.
Mass Teleport: Active, 3000 MP. A mass teleportation that takes anything in a range of 100 meters, and sends it to another place. Takes both inanimate objects and people, so it’s way more taxing than any other teleport.
Mass Space Transaction: Active, 5000 MP. A mass version of Space Transaction. Exchanges a space of a size equal to a range between 50 meters and 300 meters with another location. Takes everything. Pinnacle skill.
Bomber (Master):
Bomber Soul: The user is immune to explosive damage, and their explosions are a 10% bigger than they should be.
Bomber Mana: The user’s mana is highly explosive, increasing the power of the fire magic and explosions a 30%.
Bomb Knowledge: The user is capable to know where the bombs will be the most effective, and how much firepower is necessary for the desired effects. Also, this increases the user’s speed a 30%.
Pellet Bomb: Active, 5 MP. The user shoots one pellet made of explosive mana to one target, which will explode upon contact. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power.
Timed Bomb: Active, 10 MP. The user turns any bomb, or bomber skill, into a timed bomb. This increases the damage. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power.
Toss Bomb: Active, 15 MP. The user creates a throwable bomb, with stronger explosive yield than the average bomb. Also, it can be used to turn any bomb or bomber skill (that isn’t this one) into a timed bomb. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power.
Magnified Bomb: Active, 25 MP. The user magnifies the explosive yield of any bomb, or bomber skill, and increases the damage they cause.
Main Bomb: Active, 30 MP. The user creates a bomb with a slightly stronger yield than the average bomb. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power.
Bomb Planting: Active, 25 MP. The user can plant any bomber skill as if it was a bomb, leaving a mana cluster in the area, and increase their explosive yield for a very small amount. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power.
Giga Bomb: Active, 60 MP. The user creates a bomb with three times the yield held by the Main Bomb. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power.
Machine Bomber: Active, 40 MP. The user magnifies their capacity to shoot bombs, allowing the user to use five-fold bomber skills instantly.
Maxi Bomb: Active, 120 MP. The user creates a bomb with fifteen times the yield held by the Giga Bomb, but it takes a while to stabilize it. This attack causes physical damage, instead of magic damage, as the explosion is not a magical explosion, but its damage depends on the user’s magic power. Pinnacle skill.
