Far away from the shattered, decrepit ruins of our own reality is a short, unassuming dark-skinned man, floating in the depths of a dead galaxy. There is no light in this reality, and yet any outsider would be able to see the short man as clearly as they would in daylight. After countless years of silence, his mouth finally opens, releasing a soft, quiet voice.
"Tch... boring."
As soon as the words leave his lips, reality crumbles, unable to bear the weight of the man's disappointment. The man ascends to a place that humans can't quite comprehend, looking down at his home universe with a blank expression.
"...Bored... bored... bored..."
The man speaks, taking years between each word as he gets lost in memories from a bygone era. After an unknown amount of time, a new word finally comes out of his mouth.
"...Nathaniel... Nathaniel... hmm..."
As if struck by lightning, he changes, both in body and in mind. Gone is the quiet, half-mad man. Gone is the short, dark-skinned God. In his place is a tall, handsome Caucasian man, who immediately shouts into the void with a wide, eccentric grin on his face.
"Jesus Christ! I was almost gone for good that time! Ha! Hahahaha! Oh man, that would've been so fucking funny!!"
With a wave of his hand, a new reality springs into existence. Countless universes scatter around his creation, each filled with an immense amount of galaxies. With a mere thought, he appears in one of those galaxies, staring at the space around him with wide eyes.
A fraction of a fraction of a second later, an immense, almost star-sized pure-white planet springs into existence. The planet, held in shape by his will, is soon joined by another, and then another, and then another...
"Hehehehe... maybe... a black hole there? And there? Ooh, right, I need a few over there!"
His words bend reality, and soon enough, he's left with six black holes surrounding him and 16 of his newly made planets. All of the planets are numbered, with the white planet being the sole exception. After taking a moment to align the planets the way he wants them, he grabs the white planet, before moving far, far away. After he's reached a suitable distance, he creates a mind-bogglingly massive pool cue, before enlarging his own body to match the size of his newly-made pool game. A quick thrust of the cue sends the white planet hurtling towards the rest of them, sending several into the nearby black holes. Grinning madly, Nathaniel moves flies forward, taking careful aim at the white planet...

Yet again, countless years pass, but eventually, all good things must come to an end. Sighing softly to himself, Nathaniel speaks into the void.
"...Man... I guess it's time to change things up... but what to do?"
"Maybe I can reincarnate myself into a mortal's body...? No, I was almost gone for good the last time I did it... and the time before that... and the time before that... and the..."

"Perhaps... hmm... I always did love writing. Maybe I could create a fantasy world? Maybe a generic 'hero has to kill the dark lord' type?"
Before he can get too far into this thought, the memories of the last time he did something like this flashes through his mind.
"...Nah, that was boring as fuck. If third time wasn't the charm, then I doubt that the fourth will be..."
After an indeterminate amount of time, a new thought flashes through his head.
"You know... I've never made a Dragon Ball Universe. I used to love watching that show! I bet it'll be just like watching it on the TV!"
Seconds later, a brand new reality springs into existence around him. With wide, joyful eyes, he stares at his newest creation, carefully nudging the fundamental laws of the reality as he waits for its history to unfold...
Billions of years pass, with his careful tweaks being the only thing keeping the loose history of the DBZ Universe on track, but eventually...
"Fuck... the Saiyans wiped themselves out. Failure." Nathaniel scowls at the scene before him, soon after, he snaps his fingers.
Snap.
A second later, reality tears itself apart, giving every soul inside a painful, miserable death. With a small sigh, he starts from the beginning, learning from his past mistakes...
"Ugh. Beerus died before he could become the God of Destruction. Failure."
Snap.
"Oh that's just lovely. Zeno got pissed and deleted Universe 7. Failure."
Snap.
"...The Namekians got wiped out in a natural disaster, because of course they would be. Failure."
Snap.
"Oh boy, Young Roshi died to King Piccolo. Failure."
Snap.
"Raditz killed Goku and Piccolo. Goddammit. Failure."

"Dammit! Fuck it! I can't get this god-forsaken universe to follow the plotline past the Saiyan Saga! This is bullshit! Why is this so fucking difficult!" Nathaniel rages, destroying the reality before him as he fails yet again.
"Fine! I don't care anymore! This is too much effort to be entertained! I'll just fucking make someone else do the hard work of keeping the plot on track!"
Scowling deeply, the furious deity looks far, far away, to a place where nobody but him would dare to look. With a casual flick of his wrist, he browses through the multitude of souls trapped in the void.
"Death by drowning... no, Namek has water. Even if I erase the memories, the instinctual fear will linger in their soul. I can't have them freaking out during the Frieza fight..."
"Death by falling? Eh... I guess it could work? They aren't too familiar with Dragon Ball though..."
"..."

Eventually, his attention falls upon one soul. A weak, shivering, pathetic thing... and he grins.
"Oho! This guy... man, he knows all about Dragon Ball! He even knows more than me! But his death... maybe I'll remove those memories... oh, I know! I'll give him a System to keep him on track. I haven't done that in a while."
The mad grin on his face grows wider as he waits for time to pass. Eventually, a long-haired Saiyan lands on Earth, looking for his younger brother...
Hello! I'm Big_Chungus! This is my first novel, and I hope that all of you will enjoy it! I'm putting this small disclaimer here to tell all of you about the novel before you start reading.
What to expect:
1: Raditz will not be overpowered. He'll be strong, yes, but most of his wins will come from tricking his opponent or simply being more skilled. He is not going to bitch-slap any of the main villains. This is not a power fantasy.
2: Raditz isn't strong-willed. He isn't going to be training 24/7 unless his life is actively in danger. If someone who can kill him with ease tells him to do something, he's going to do that thing. He's a bit of a coward. He'll grow, but it won't happen quickly.
3: The System is going to tell Raditz what to do. The System is there to keep the loose plot of DBZ on track. It is going to force Raditz to do things, and it will threaten him with death. The plot will still change from the original DBZ, of course, and Raditz will eventually break away from the System's commands, but it'll take time.
4: Nathaniel, the God at the start of the story, is literally omnipotent. This isn't one of those stories where the MC rebels against the System and kills its creator. Raditz will never be strong enough to kill Nathaniel.
