Vegeta crashes into the ground half a mile from Frieza, completely stunned by the sheer power behind the tyrant's punch. Under Raditz's shocked gaze, his opponent disappears, reappearing directly in front of the speedy Great Ape. Raditz ducks backwards, narrowly avoiding a jaw-breaking kick. Despite the bloodlust his Great Ape form fills him with, he makes the smart decision to not attack Frieza, instead opting to turn around and fly away at top speed, trying his best to buy time.

The bulky alien scoffs, pointing a finger at the retreating Ape. A single thin beam of purple energy flies from his finger, piercing the Saiyan's left arm.

Raditz roars, both in fear and in pain, as the tiny blast shatters the bones in his dominant arm. The pain is enough to completely clear his mind, giving him a sense of clarity he's never experienced as a Great Ape.

'Dammit dammit dammit! I hate buying time! Fuck! Come on, System! I'm feeling angry right now! Turn me into a Super Saiyan so I can kick his ass!' he thinks in a panic, bumping up his Kasokudo to the max, a 20x speed boost.

The boost he gains is just enough to allow him to dodge Frieza's next blast, causing him to sigh in relief.

'I can sense Dende flying towards Kakarot... I can surely survive until he's healed...'

His relief is short-lived, however, as his opponent quickly appears in front of him yet again. This time, Raditz is unable to dodge the tyrant's kick, which causes his brain to fog up as the attack throws him into the air.

Raditz groans in pain as he flies through the air, before his ascent is abruptly halted. Confused, he looks down, eyes widening in fear when he spots Frieza, holding Raditz's massive tail with both hands...

The bulky emperor smiles as he begins to spin, dragging the giant Ape through the air at a rapid pace. After several seconds, the tyrant's speed has surpassed what Raditz would be able to achieve with the Kasokudo, causing the Saiyan to grimace as he prepares himself for impact.

Eventually, Frieza releases his tail, sending Raditz hurtling towards the ground. Yet another crater is made on Namek's surface as he crashes onto the grass, his momentum dragging his immense body along Namek's ground for over a mile.

The massive Saiyan quickly turns his head away from the many, many, many notifications his System gives him, roaring in pain as he forces himself to get up, supporting his considerable weight on his right leg. Frieza lands not far from him, grinning sadistically.

"Outside of my brother, no opponent has ever forced me to use this form. It truly is liberating to go all out." he says, blasting Raditz off his feet.

He rushes at the downed Ape, slamming a knee into the massive Saiyan's stomach. As Frieza rains attack after attack down upon his opponent, he continues to speak.

"You know, I could just destroy that silly artificial moon. It would be quite easy, in fact... and yet I won't. You can't even defend yourself now. Without that silly transformation you Saiyans have... well, I wouldn't be able to use this form without instantly killing you."

Dende lays his hands on the unconscious Saiyan, forcing his Ki to heal the man's injuries. While he heals Goku, he stares at Nail's body with a complicated expression, silently hoping that the Namekian warrior's wounds aren't fatal.

"Just a few more minutes Nail... hold on for a few more minutes." he mutters in a miserable tone, trying to focus everything he has on healing Goku. "King Kai said that this Saiyan is the only one who can win... I have to heal him first. I'm sorry."

Suddenly, he senses several large power levels closing in on his position, causing him to freeze in fear. The fear is short lived, as he soon spots Krillin and Gohan, carrying their Namekian friend with them.

"Dende! We need you to heal Piccolo! He's hurt!" Gohan cries, landing next to young Namekian.

"I... I can't. I have to finish healing this 'Goku.' King Kai told me that he's our only hope." the child replies.

"You can't take a few seconds to stop and heal Piccolo?" Krillin asks.

"It'll take a lot longer to heal this Saiyan if I stop half-way." Dende explains. "I'd have to start the healing process from the beginning. It takes time to force my Ki to heal someone."

"...Alright. Let's hope Piccolo can last that long..."

Raditz kicks off the ground, soaring into the air away from the tyrant. The pain in his limbs threatens to overwhelm him... and yet a strange sense of calm clouds his mind, allowing him to ignore the damage he's taken.

Raditz's eyebrows shoot up in surprise.

'Huh... it's been less than a day since I arrived... how the hell have all my techniques improved so much? Saiyan biology is... uh... it's really something.' he thinks, throwing himself to the side to dodge another Death Beam from Frieza.

"Dance for me monkey!" the tyrant commands with a laugh, rapidly firing blasts of energy at Raditz.

Raditz moves as fast as he can, ducking, dodging, and sidestepping attack after attack... but his speed is no match for the emperor opposing him. Eventually, he fails to properly move, taking a Death Beam to the knee.

He collapses like a puppet with its strings cut, falling to the ground limply. Frieza raises a hand, building up a devastating Ki blast in his palm. Raditz watches his impending doom with wide eyes...

...and then breathes out, relieved, after Vegeta comes roaring out of nowhere, punching the bulky alien away.

Frieza goes flying into the air, rolling his eyes at the ignorant Ape who attacked him. Vegeta opens his mouth, following his previous attack with a wave of energy.

The tyrannical emperor spins around in midair, staring at the approaching wave with a bored expression. To the horror of both Vegeta and Raditz, Frieza kicks the attack as soon as it reaches him, knocking the wave of energy into the sky.

"W-What?! That attack... that attack had everything I had!" the Princely Ape says, unclenching his hands in pure terror as he realizes the difference between him and Frieza.

Frieza dusts himself off, floating towards Vegeta at a leisurely pace. The monstrous Saiyan takes several step back, instinctively trying to distance himself from the powerful man approaching him. After several long, terrifying seconds, Frieza arrives in front of the Prince, staring at him with a satisfied smirk.

"You remind me of your father, Vegeta. He was terrified of me too... of course, he never even saw my second form, much less my full power. He tried to rebel against me... and now your pathetic race is rotting in Hell, right where they belong." Frieza says, uppercutting the Ape into the sky.

He raises his uninjured hand into the air, pointing it at Vegeta. "I think it's time that you finally join them."

A wave of energy erupts from his palm, quickly launching itself at the stunned Prince. Suddenly, Raditz crashes into Vegeta, shoving the shorter Ape out of the way, allowing Frieza's attack to harmlessly sail past the duo.

"Tch... and then there's you. Now that I think about it, you and that Goku I fought earlier bear a strong resemblance to another foolish Saiyan who tried to stop me. He somehow found out about my plans to destroy Planet Vegeta. Instead of acting intelligent and fleeing, he decided to try to fight me and my entire army! He didn't even turn into a Great Ape. I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did then..."

"..."

'It's a good thing that Frieza loves the sound of his voice...' Raditz muses, tuning out the tyrant's words.

The bulky alien continues to speak for several seconds, unaware that his opponent isn't listening to a word he says. Raditz forces his Ki to rush through his body, doing his best to heal the many wounds on his large body.

Goku sits up with a groan, staring at his healed body in amazement.

"Woah! Thanks for fixing me up, little guy!" he says, smiling brightly.

Dende doesn't even react to his words, instantly moving towards Nail. The child puts his hands on the Namekian, forcing more and more Ki into the warrior's body.

"Nail... Grand Elder Guru... you fused?!" he says in surprise as he senses the Ki inside the Namekian's body.

"Maybe... maybe we stand a chance against Frieza after all! The Grand Elder's techniques are unmatched! It's said that when he was young, he could beat any warrior Namekian on the planet!"

"Is that really that impressive?" Krillin asks.

"Of course!" Dende replies, slightly outraged. "Grand Elder Guru is... or was... part of the Dragon Clan! That means that he's much better at mystical powers, such as telepathy or creating Dragon Balls, than combat! The average warrior Namekian could beat 2 dozen members of the Dragon Clan at once! Of course Grand Elder Guru is impressive! His techniques were able to bridge that massive gap!"

Dende continues to pour energy into Nail, sighing with relief when the tall Namekian opens his eyes.

"Nail! I'm glad yo--" he suddenly gets cut off as Nail opens his mouth.

"Dende. I can't beat that monster, even at my best... I can't even scratch him when he tries. King Kai has been talking with me while I've been unconscious... and I think I have a plan. You need to stop healing me."

"Stop healing you?! Why would I do that?!" the young Namekian replies, confused.

"Focus on the son of Katas... or Piccolo, as the Earthlings know him. Once he's healed, you must have him fuse with me. He'll absorb most of my knowledge and power, but keep his body."

"Keep his body?! Why don't you fuse with him and keep yours?!"

"Dende..." he sighs. "You've read from our Book of Legends. You know about King Kai and his techniques. King Kai's Kaioken... even if I have the knowledge to perform it, my body won't be used to it. I can't use the Kaioken if I keep my body. Hell, the fusion will change the inner workings of Piccolo's body enough for the higher levels of Kaioken to kill him. King Kai believes that the max he'll be able to use is x5."

"But Nail!--" Dende begins.

"Please, Dende. It's our best option. Goku will need time to charge his attack. I can't buy him that time."

The green child stares at the man who embodies both his father and his friend for several seconds. Eventually, he speaks, fighting back tears the entire time.

"...Goodbye, Nail. Goodbye, Grand Elder Guru."

"Goodbye, Dende."

Silence takes hold in the area as Dende puts his hands on Piccolo, sniffling softly the entire time. This silence is soon broken by a black-haired martial artist...

"Well... while you heal Piccolo, I'm going to go fight this Frieza guy! I feel a lot stronger after being healed up, and I think I could give him a real fight now!" Goku says, hovering above the ground.

"But Dad--" Gohan begins, cutting off as the Saiyan flies away.

"...I guess we should go after him." Krillin says with a sigh.

Goku speeds through the air, using the Kaioken to reach Frieza as fast as possible. Soon after, he sees a duo of Great Apes, one of which is unconscious on the ground, while the other faces off against a bulky alien.

"You know, I'm almost tempted to keep you Saiyans. It's extraordinarily rare for me to find a punching bag capable of withstanding my true power..." Frieza says, not noticing Goku.

"Unfortunately for you... I think it's best if I finish what I started all those years ago, and wipe the Saiyans out completely."

The tyrant grins, pointing a finger at the massive Ape opposing him. Suddenly, both Goku and Raditz sense an immense amount of Ki travel out of Frieza, going directly into the Saiyan's arm...

Raditz's eyes widen as his left arm balloons, unable to handle the pressure of Frieza's Ki. Under Goku's shocked gaze, Raditz's arm explodes, sending chunks of flesh all over the area.
