Goku and Vegeta turn towards Raditz in sync, eyes wide at this new revelation.

"What?! When did you even find the time to train him?!"

"Woah! I didn't know you had such a strong student!"

"..."

Raditz stays silent, staring at Trunks for several seconds, before he suddenly scoffs.

"Although he looks familiar... I'm certain that I've never trained him before. Are you sure you have the right person?"

The group of Saiyans all turn towards Trunks in sync, waiting for an explanation. With a small chuckle, the purple-haired swordsman begins to explain.

"He's right. He has never trained me before. As a matter of fact, this is my first time meeting him... or at least, the him of this timeline."

Suddenly, a shocked gasp can be heard from King Kai.

"Did you take one of the time rings?!?!?!?" he shouts furiously.

"Time ring? What's that?" Goku asks curiously.

"The time rings are special rings used exclusively by the Supreme Kais! The time rings of our Universe, Universe 7, have been lost for thousands of years. They can allow someone to travel to the future! If he found the--"

Trunks raises a hand, cutting King Kai off.

"No, I haven't used a time ring, although I am from a different timeline. From your point of view, I'm from the future."

"That's impossible! The time rings are one of the only ways that someone can travel through time, and even travelling to the past with them is exceedingly rare!" the blue Kai objects.

"So you're from the future... do you have any proof?" Raditz asks calmly.

"You don't actually believe him?! I knew you were foolish and naive, but this is too much!" Vegeta says, shaking his head angrily. "I don't know who this bastard is, but he's either insane, or he has a reason to be lying to us. Either way, we should obliterate him."

"..."

"..."

"So do you have any proof, Trunks?" Goku says, ignoring Vegeta.

"Of course I do. First--"

The purple-haired man digs through his pockets for several seconds, before pulling out a small capsule. He then throws it on the ground, and a large, complicated machine explodes out of it.

"--is my time machine. Mom spent over a decade working on this. Second--"

He then draws his sword, holding it up for everyone to see.

"--is my sword. Pure Katchin, created all at once. F... Raditz may recognize this. After all, this is the sword he created during his fight against Vegeta."

Raditz and Goku lock eyes, and the younger Saiyan nods his head, teleporting back to Earth. A few seconds later, he returns, carrying a pitch-black sword in both hands.

"Yeesh. This really is heavy! You must get one heck of a workout carrying that around all day!" he says, setting the sword down on the ground. Shortly after, Trunks sets his own sword down next to it. All three Saiyans stare at the two identical swords, trying to find any differences.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"These are the same swords." Raditz admits after several minutes.

"Tch. How can you even tell, scum?!" Vegeta asks, not truly believing the purple-haired stranger's words.

"When I create something with my Ki, I have to know all about it. The weight, the durability of the material, everything. On top of that, I've been planning to create a Katchin sword for a while now, which is why I was able to create it so quickly during our fight. Nobody knows more about this sword than me, and I can say with full confidence that they're the exact same."

"...Fine... I guess we have no choice but to believe him..."

"Dammit...do you have any idea what you've done?!" King Kai shouts at Trunks. "The time rings are allowed because they don't interfere with the future. If you traveled with a mortal-made machine, then that's a different story! Traveling to the past creates an alternate timeline! It goes against the laws of the Gods! Who the hell made that machine for you?!"

Trunks, rather than be surprised, seems to have expected the Kai's angry words. "Heh. The you in the future was against it too, but you eventually came around. Let me explain Mom's reasoning for building the time machine first."

"Who's your mom?" Goku asks. "She must be incredible to make something like a time machine! I'd love to meet her!"

"You already know her. Bulma is my mother."

"What?!?!?!" Goku shouts in astonishment. A half second later, Raditz echoes him.

"You... how old are you?" Vegeta asks with an ugly expression on his face.

"17 years old. I was born March 13th, Age 765."

As Vegeta's face turns pale, and he realizes the fact that this stranger from the future is his son, Raditz's mind races.

'Wait, what the fuck?! I thought Future Trunks was supposed to be born a year or two after that! Did I change another thing?! Oh d-- System, I didn't mean it! It's not that big of a deal, I promise!'

Trunks continues speaking, completely ignorant to Raditz's thoughts.

"In my timeline, every single one of Earth's defenders has died. I'm the only one left. That's why I'm here to warn you."

"What?! All of us?!" Goku asks in surprise.

"Tch... it seems like Cooler and his father were more dangerous than I had expected... dammit! To think I'd die from scum like them!" Vegeta curses.

"You didn't die to Cooler and King Cold. None of you did, as a matter of fact." Trunks says, causing Vegeta to calm slightly.

"Then which bastard dared to kill me?!"

"You? Well... Goku killed you. You were supposed to die today."

As Goku and Vegeta begin to speak, astonished by this news, Trunks cuts them off.

"In the timeline I come from, Vegeta succeeded in killing Raditz. This enraged Goku, causing him to turn into a Super Saiyan for the first time. Vegeta quickly teleported to this planet, apparently thinking that he'd be safe... but with King Kai keeping an eye on the Galaxy, how would he ever be able to hide? Goku caught up to him almost immediately, and Vegeta died soon after."

"What do you mean by 'turn into a Super Saiyan?'" Goku asks.

"That scum would never be able to kill me! Even with his Kaioken, I'd be much stronger in my Great Ape form! You must be lying!" Vegeta shouts as the same time.

"Right, none of you know what a Super Saiyan is yet... I suppose I'll have to show you!"

Trunks steps away from the three Saiyans, taking a deep breath as he concentrates.

Suddenly, a ferocious aura begins to leak out of the purple-haired man, kicking up shockwaves that completely devastate the area around him. His hair, once purple and flat, slowly begins to raise and turn a different shade.

The force of his transformation is enough to knock Goku, Raditz, and Vegeta backwards, causing them to stare with wide eyes as Trunks's muscles suddenly expand. With one final shout of exertion, his hair spikes up, turning golden, and his eyes turn into a light blue. The three Saiyans stare at him, dumbfounded, as he cancels the transformation.

"That is what a Super Saiyan looks like." Trunks says, walking back towards the trio. "According to the Raditz of my timeline, it multiplies your power by 50 times. Vegeta, do you understand why Goku was able to kill you in my timeline?"

The Saiyan Prince nods dumbly, unable to continue being arrogant when he sees the power of a Super Saiyan.

"Approximately 3 months after Goku killed Vegeta, some of King Cold's minions re-discovered Namek, prompting him to invade it. Fortunately, the Dragon Balls had been used recently, and he was unable to make a wish. In anger, he destroyed the planet."

"While on Namek, he learnt that Earth's warriors were responsible for his son's death, and proceeded to invade Earth with Cooler. Luckily, Goku was able to stop them... but due to the limitations of Earth's Dragon Balls, they weren't able to revive the Namekians. A month after, King Kai was killed in a sneak attack."

"What?!"

Trunks ignores the blue Kai, continuing his story. "Captain Ginyu of the Ginyu Force has the ability to switch bodies with someone. Apparently, he's able to use it without a body too, stealing someone's body and forcing their soul out. With this, he slowly but surely made his way through Otherworld, eventually changing bodies with East Kai. King Kai discovered what had happened, but wasn't able to stop Ginyu on his own, dying during the fight."

"So Bojack is responsible for everyone dying?" Goku asks. "King Kai said that if he or one of the other Kais died, then Bojack would be released."

Trunks shakes his head. "Although his death released Bojack and his crew, they never discovered Earth. No... what caused Earth's downfall was Dr. Gero."

"Dr. Gero? The Red Ribbon Army scientist?"

"That's right. On May 12th, Age 767, eight Androids created by Dr. Gero attacked Earth's major cities, destroying them. Every Ki fighter except Raditz died in the fight against them."

'What the fuck?!?! Eight Androids?!?!?!' Raditz thinks, completely shocked.

"Each Android has power far beyond imagination. Every single one of them was more than a match for Goku. Together... well, together they were easily able to defeat all of you. Piccolo self-destructed in an attempt to take them down, but it wasn't enough."

"Then how did Raditz survive? That piece of scum is cunning, yes, but he isn't anywhere close to being strong enough to escape them." Vegeta points out.

"Raditz was in the Great Ape form when everyone else died. The rage was enough to turn him into a Super Saiyan, but since he was in the Great Ape form, it caused him to become a Golden Great Ape..."

Trunks trails off, sighing to himself.

"As it would turn out, that wasn't something he could control. In a blind rage, he killed all but two of the Androids... along with most of Earth's population. Mom was able to create a machine to forcefully remove the Blutz Waves in his body, but the damage was already done. Earth was in ruins, and two of the Androids had escaped, continuing to terrorize Earth's people. The next time they encountered Raditz, they cut off his tail to prevent him from trying that again."

"They didn't kill him?"

"...Not at first. They seemed to think of it as a game. Something to relieve their boredom. For 17 years, he continued to battle against them, while at the same time training me, but no matter how much he trained, or how much he fought, he never got stronger. He was stuck at the same level of power he was when they first showed up."

"So these Androids... they kill everyone? Why don't we just go and stop Dr. Gero now?" Goku suggests, causing Raditz's eyebrows to shoot up.

'Kakarot suggesting an alternative to fighting?! Jesus Christ, how much have things changed?!'

"Tch. Where's your Saiyan pride, Kakarot?! The only way to better ourselves is to challenge powerful adversaries! How dare you suggest something like that?!" Vegeta fumes.

"..."

"Raditz seemed to think that you'd be able to handle them if you knew that they were coming." Trunks interjects. "Regardless, him and Mom believed that Dr. Gero would've prepared something in case he was discovered. They weren't sure what it was... but they were pretty confident that it wouldn't be pretty."

"So to sum it up, we need to stop King Cold from discovering Namek, then we need to stop King Kai from dying, and then we need to get ready for the Android's arrival?" Raditz says.

"Exactly. I do have one last thing before I leave..."

The purple-haired swordsman reaches into an inner-pocket of his jacket, bringing out an old, beaten-up journal. He opens it, rips out a single page, and then throws the notebook to Raditz.

"My Raditz kept a journal after he was wished back with the Dragon Balls. He said that you'd benefit from reading it."

"Why'd you rip a page out?" Goku asks.

"This is for Vegeta. Raditz thought that he'd be hesitant to work with you, so he wrote something."

"Tch. Hand it over." the Saiyan Prince demands.

After Trunks gives the paper to Vegeta, he immediately dashes back to his time machine, seemingly not wanting to stay in this timeline any longer. After a quick goodbye, the time machine disappears with him inside, leaving the three Saiyans to digest this new information...
