"Tsk... I was hoping to kill him. That Ape's Ki is quite potent, it seems..." Frieza mutters to himself, slightly disappointed. "No matter. I'll just have to try aga--"

The tyrant is cut off almost instantly as Goku's fist slams into his spine, throwing the bulky alien into the sky. He whirls around in midair to face his new foe. As he does so, a furious voice reaches his ears.

"KAIOKEN... TIMES 26!"

The emperor's eyes widen in shock as a now-familiar red aura engulfs the Saiyan in front of him. Before he can react, Goku's fist meets his face, causing a cloud of pain to go through the tyrant's mind. Frieza goes flying backwards, blood and teeth flowing from his mouth.

"Dammit Goku! Your body can't handle that much power!" King Kai shouts.

Goku doesn't respond, powering down as he drops to the ground near Raditz. With panic-driven speed, he dashes to the Ape's side, pumping Ki into the unconscious Saiyan's wound.

"Frieza's getting up!" the Kai warns. "Don't worry about Raditz! If you don't attack Frieza now, then everyone on Namek will die!"

The martial artist grits his teeth, staring at his brother in obvious worry. After muttering a curse-- something quite unusual for him-- he builds a ball of Ki in his hand.

"If you can hear me... then sorry, Raditz. This is gonna hurt..." he says, forcing the Ki to latch onto the stump where Raditz's arm used to be.

A primal roar of pain tears its way out of the unconscious Ape's throat as a sizzling sound comes from his stump. Frieza shakes his head, clearing the last bits of dizziness from his mind, before throwing himself at the two brothers...

"Goku!"

The Saiyan turns around just in time, ignoring King Kai's advice and pushing his body to the limit. The Kaioken's red aura explodes from his body as Frieza's fist reaches him...

Boom.

An explosive force expands from the two fighters, throwing Raditz's unconscious body away from them. King Kai stands on his planet, stunned into silence by what's happening on Namek...

Goku's hand wraps around the tyrant's fist, catching the attack before it got the chance to slam into the Saiyan's throat. A shocked gasp escapes from Frieza's mouth, his mind unable to accept the reality of his situation. How could a mere monkey stop an attack from him!?!? From his full power?!?! Goku takes advantage of Frieza's bewilderment to rear his fist back, before driving it into his opponent's nose at terrifying speeds.

The tyrant is thrown back, but is immediately stopped as Goku grabs him by the arm, pulling Frieza into a devastating headbutt. The sudden pain snaps him into action, causing him to throw a wave of Ki at point-blank range, launching the Saiyan away.

Goku recovers instantly, kicking off the ground to throw himself at his bulky opponent. Panicked, Frieza leans backwards, narrowly dodging a strike that would've knocked even more teeth out. The tyrant quickly slams a 1-2 combination into the martial artist's ribs, grinning slightly as he hears a bone crack.

Goku grits his teeth, going low to sweep the tyrant's legs. Before he can fall to the ground, Frieza halts his momentum in the air, but in doing so, played right into Goku's hands. The brief moment of flight leaves him defenseless, causing him to take a massive two-handed sledgehammer blow that slams him into the dirt.

He rolls to the side as soon as possible, tripping the Saiyan with his tail as he dodges a bone-breaking stomp. Soon after, the two hop to their feet in sync, dashing back at each other with a murderous fury in their eyes.

"Damn monkey! Die already!" Frieza screams, throwing a powerful haymaker at his opponent.

Goku doesn't even bother to respond, instead choosing to slap the alien's attack away. Frieza, now caught off balance, tumbles towards the ground, but is quickly stopped from falling as Goku spikes a short right hook into the alien's ribcage. The emperor recoils, hastily lashing out with his left hand as he tries to back away. Unfortunately for him, Goku predicted this, easily ducking under the strike to close distance, before wrapping his hands around the tyrant's arm. With a quick turn, Goku heaves Frieza over his shoulder, slamming the bulky alien into the ground.

Goku slams a knee onto his opponent's ribs, holding the white alien down as he rains strike upon strike on Frieza. The emperor struggles, trying to throw the martial artist off him, but is unable to move the Saiyan. In desperation, he opens his mouth, firing a blast of energy from it like the Great Apes he faced earlier did.

The blast catches Goku in the chest, throwing him off of Frieza, who keeps up the pressure, pelting Goku with dozen of Ki blasts as he flies backwards. A cloud of smoke covers the area, with each ball of Ki Frieza fires adding to the cloud. After several seconds, the tyrant stops attacking, breathing heavily as he stares at the smoke. With a powerful shout, he punches towards the cloud, sending a shockwave of air to clear blow the smoke away. His jaw drops in shock as he stares at his opponent, still standing despite the beating he just took.

"Monkeys... disgusting, durable monkeys..." Frieza mutters.

Goku's hand rises, wiping away the blood flowing from his mouth. The two warriors stare at each other in silence, each daring their opponent to make the first move.

'He's strong... too strong for me, maybe. For some reason, this planet is missing a lot more of its energy than I'd expect. I don't think I can use the Spirit Bomb...' the Saiyan thinks, ignoring the soreness of his muscles.

"Dammit Goku! Bulma has fixed the ship you and Raditz flew in on! Get out of there, now! Frieza's ship is destroyed. He won't be able to follow you!" King Kai shouts, causing Goku's expression to darken.

"I'm not leaving Raditz. There's no way I'll be able to get him or Vegeta to safety while Frieza is here." he responds.

"Don't worry about those two! Krillin and Gohan are--"

"Solar Flare!" Goku shouts, interrupting the blue Kai before he can finish his sentence.

Goku's muscles scream in agony as he launches himself at Frieza, nailing the tyrant with a powerful side kick. Unexpectedly, Frieza's eyes continue to track the Saiyan, catching Goku off guard with a thunderous uppercut to the stomach when the martial artist tries to follow up on his attack.

"That Namekian has already tried a similar trick... your silly techniques won't work, Super Saiyan." Frieza says arrogantly, backhanding the martial artist away.

Goku soars away from the alien, dizzy from the powerful blow. Frieza rushes after him, flipping in midair to slam his tail down upon the Saiyan. Goku's body creates a massive crater as he impacts the ground, but he doesn't react in any way to the immense pain his body just took, instead opting to point both of his hands upwards...

Frieza's eyes widen as the Saiyan releases a massive beam of energy, catching the tyrant by surprise. The beam halts whatever attack Frieza had planned, launching the emperor away from Goku. After several seconds of white-hot pain, the wave of Ki finally stops, allowing Frieza to catch his breath...

...until Goku's fist slams into his cheek, shattering a bone with a nasty crack. A scream of pain flies from the bulky alien's mouth, but the martial artist shows no mercy, silencing Frieza with a quick jab to the throat.

A quick knee to the ribs has the tyrant gasping for air, and a back elbow to his jaw sends teeth flying. The tyrant responds with a sloppy right-hook, one which easily gets grabbed by his opponent. Goku pulls the arm straight, before punching it right on the elbow, breaking it instantly. Whatever screams that were about to come from Frieza's throat are cut off as the martial artist grabs him by the mouth, firing a wave of Ki from the hand grabbing him.

Frieza struggles as smoke begins to come from the corners of his mouth. In a panic, he points his one good hand at Goku, forcing as much power as he can into a ball of Ki building in his palm. Goku's eyes widen as he sees the tyrant's attack. He quickly releases Frieza, pulling his arms close to him to block the attack...

Boom

The blast throws him back, burning the Saiyan's skin at a rapid pace. Goku skids along the ground, coming to a stop after several seconds. After taking half a second to collect himself, he groans, pushing himself onto his hands and knees as he tries to get up.

Frieza, however, has learnt his lesson by now. Without wasting any time gloating, he dashes at the injured Saiyan, trying to finish his opponent off...

...until a glowing ball of blue Ki explodes out of the ground, slamming into the tyrant's jaw. Goku stops playing possum, kicking off the dirt to launch himself at Frieza. Before the tyrant knows what's happened, the Saiyan has arrived in front of him, snapping his head to the side with a devastatingly powerful hook.

Now that he has the advantage, Goku doesn't plan to give it up, firing off a lightning-fast combination of blows that send Frieza's blue blood all over the surrounding area. Attack after attack lands on the bulky alien as the Saiyan continues his offense, beating down any attempts of defense the tyrant can throw up. After almost an entire minute of this, a particularly powerful blow sends Frieza flying backwards, and then a devastating elbow slams him into the ground.

"W-what?! How... how can this be?!" Frieza says in shock as he crawls to his hands and knees.

Goku appears in front of him a split second later, building a ball of blue Ki in the palm of his hand.

"HOW CAN THIS BE?!?!?!" the tyrant shouts, pounding a fist into the dirt he crawls on. "DEFETAED... DEFEATED BY A MERE MONKEY?!?!"

The Saiyan warrior stares down at his defeated opponent, pointing his Ki-filled hand at Frieza...

...and then he crumples to the floor, barely conscious.

"Good try, Goku. You almost had him." King Kai says with a proud grin.

"King Kai... what... what happened?" Goku asks in confusion, trying to force his body to get up.

"I told you that your body can't handle such a high level of Kaioken!" the Kai scolds. "You're lucky that I thought ahead."

"Thought ahead...?"

Goku is snapped out of his telepathic conversation with King Kai by a chilling laugh.

"...Hehe... HAHAHAHAHA!" Frieza laughs madly. "Oh, I can't believe this! So close to victory, only to collapse at the finish line!"

Frieza raises his good hand, pointing down at the wounded Saiyan.

"While I'd love to extend your death... I've been interrupted far too many times today. I think I'll just--"

The air around Frieza's hand suddenly turns extremely hot, combusting into a ball of fire. The tyrant snarls, both at the interruption and at the unexpected pain, before launching the blast of Ki at Goku...

A green arm extends from out of nowhere, grabbing the Saiyan before it shortens at a rapid pace to pull him out of the way of the blast.

"I can't believe you didn't wait for us... damn fool." Piccolo says, throwing Goku behind him.

Without any hesitation, Frieza blasts the green warrior at full power, trying his best to wipe the resilient Namekian away so he can finally kill the Super Saiyan.

Piccolo scoffs, staring down the attack barreling towards him. With a shout of exertion, a red aura explodes from his green body, and he slaps the incoming attack away from him.

The tall warrior immediately rushes at his tyrannical opponent, landing a devastating uppercut to throw the bulky alien into the air. Then, his right arm extends, wrapping around Frieza's tail. With a murderous grin, Piccolo pulls Frieza towards him, throwing a blast of energy with his left hand as he does so.

Unseen by anyone, an invisible Namekian child slowly drags Goku away from the two warriors...
