Isy slid over next to me. “Wow. You didn’t waste any time making sure the teacher knew about your new body did you?”
‘She’s so shy about her own body… Why does she talk about mine so flippantly…’ I growled. “That… Was an accident… And my chest is wrapped anyway, so it hardly matters if my shirt moves around a bit.”
“Hm… You’re a lot bolder than before though… Considering you were hiding under your desk the entirety of the last class.”
‘To be fair… A lot has happened since then.’ “I’ve killed how many demons? I shouldn’t be scared of a man looking at me just because I overpowered him…” ‘I mean sure, if I say it like that… But that’s…’ I closed my eyes for a moment. ‘I should think carefully about what I say, otherwise, it might not actually but me talking…’
“Right…”
Mo and Bear walked up to us. “Your eyes have changed.” He said calmly.
“That’s what you noticed first?” Mo said coldly, staring at my chest. “This was caused by drinking that weird potion you mentioned right? Dragon sight?”
“Not… exactly… And also you’d probably die if you drank it… So don’t even think about trying to find some.”
She shrugged, letting out a heavy sigh. “I’m over it anyway. They seem like a pain. And my dad told me I should start growing up like normal now that I stopped eating the pellets.”
“Oh, that’s nice. I’m happy for you…” I turned to Bear who was now leaning against the desk and facing the opposite direction. ‘How is he so good at being around such awkward conversations…’ “Anyway… Let’s get going… Today I want to test how much we’ve improved. Bear, go and gather the Mafia, Mo, you can grab Dragons Tallon too. I’m going to go get my brother and meet you all at the sparring grounds. This will be the best way to get ready for the exam. After all the effort we’ve put in so far it would be a shame if they failed… Which honestly might also result in them dying… Considering we’ve been fighting live monsters in the practical classes.”
They nodded and headed off. ‘Now that I think about it I’m actually kind of curious about how Airsidh will react. I haven't seen his calm expression crack in a while. This should be fun.’
His room was on the first floor, so we had to walk a bit to get there, but there was no reason to check anywhere else. He was about as lazy as they came, so I had no doubts he was there. “Big Brother!” I shouted, knocking on the door. “I came all the way down here to see you!” I couldn’t hide my grin, anticipating his reaction, but the moment I finished yelling a certain anxious feeling took hold of me and my heart tightened, filling my body with an unfamiliar sense of strength, as if the dragon was reacting to something threatening it’s life.
I heard a few groans and heavy footsteps, with some mumbling that kicked my senses into overdrive, making them all so sensitive my head began to sting, my ears rang and my sense of smell suddenly picked up enough for me to form a picture of the entire room in my mind.
“Siya?” Isy said cautiously as I began to stumble around.
“I guess… There are still a few kinks…” I mumbled. Placing a hand out in front of me to steady myself on the door just as it opened, stumbling into a man's chest just barely staying on my feet. ‘Wow… That was a little intense…’ I slowly pushed myself up, keeping a hand on his chest to make sure I was steady as I looked at him. “Oh, Kai, it’s you.” I smiled brightly, patting him on the shoulders and carefully taking a step back. ‘I’m as tall as him now, this is crazy…’ “Is Airsidh here?”

He stared blankly at me, slightly red in the face and his arms awkwardly held out to the side “A-air-he-s” He stumbled backward tripping on his own feet and having to catch himself with a hand to the floor, ending up on the other side of the room before he regained his balance. ‘I feel like Mo would be so disappointed if she saw this…’
“It appears you have quite the effect on men.” Isy giggled, covering her mouth with a gently closed fist.
‘I don’t know how I feel about that…’ I sighed, stepping inside the room and looking around. I could see his massive bow propped up in the corner with a shirt hanging from it, my eyes fixating on it so much it was almost hard to see anything else at first. ‘I can feel it… A weapon that could go through my scales…’ I nervously rubbed my arm over the old wounds to stop the chills. ‘I don’t even have scales…’ Looking down at my hands I stopped, quickly moving them both behind my back and turning away from it. ‘I guess not all of my habits have changed…’ I cleared my throat, properly taking in my surroundings to calm down, as if it was the only way I could feel safe.
Several daggers were sticking out of one of the walls where a strange game board had been drawn and there were clothes and armor thrown about here and there. ‘Yeah… Honestly, this is how my room would look if I didn’t have roommates… I can’t really judge them…’ I sighed again as Kai quickly started trying to clean up, only realizing none of the mess was actually his.
“Kai, what’s with the racket?” Gild groaned, sitting up in his bed on the top bunk, yawning, and calmly looking between me and Isy. “Do you girls need something?” He rubbed his eyes. “You’re Isy, one of Siya’s mates right?”
Isy grinned before nodding, looking at me from the side of her eyes. “That’s right, where is her brother?”
He groaned, throwing another knife at the wall and sticking it into one of the squares. “Kai, are you seriously this useless around girls–” He looked back at us, as if making himself aware of our presence and stopped short. “He’s getting out of the shower. He ditched class today so he’s getting a late start.”
“Sounds like him…” I mumbled.
“Wait, but I thought your brother was like a legend? Isn’t he the strongest archer in school?”
I chuckled. “Well, yeah I guess so, but you know, I’ve ditched class before too, remember?”
She grimaced. “Family habit I guess…”
Gild raised an eyebrow, starting to get suspicious. Kai on the other hand remained completely clueless, trying to say something after finally recovering from his little fall. “Sorry about that. I try to keep him out of trouble but at the end of the day he does what he wants. You must be his older sister, right?” Isy snickered, trying her best to hide it as he continued. “If it’s something I can help with I’d be happy to.”
‘Older sister huh…’ Another knife flew across the room into another square, making him growl and move one to a different square. ‘That poor wall…’ “Yeah you guys can come too… Although Gild looks a little sleepy… I was hoping to have my trainees test their skills against you guys to see how far they’ve come before the practical exam comes up.”
He stood up with a big smile. “Not to worry, I’ll whip them into shape for you. Anything for a pretty lady.”
‘This is… A new side of him… It’s weird…’
Airsidh finally walked out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a loin cloth, showing off a few new wounds that hadn’t fully healed yet and making Isy yelp, jumping behind me and looking away as he turned to look at us. “Oh, hey Siya.” He said calmly, walking closer and rubbing my head.
I brushed his hand away. “Put some pants on before you touch me. Ugh… you’re so gross.”
He sighed, grabbing some from off the floor and quickly throwing them on. “There, better?”
“You might as well put a shirt on too… If only for my friend's sake…” Isy growled and pinched my back.
He did as I asked and Isy nervously stopped hiding, awkwardly stepping away from me as he walked over and patted my head again. “You’re a little taller than the last time I saw you. Oh, and your eyes are even more sparkly. Good for you.”
‘That’s all he has to say? He wasn’t surprised at all?’ “Y-yeah… It took awhile but I guess I finally hit my growth spurt…” I chuckled, admittedly a bit embarrassed and just surprised that he somehow recognized me.
“Ha, wait till Lu finds out she’s shorter than you now. Can I tell her? No, I should let you… Hm… Decisions decisions.”
I stared up at him. Even though I was so much bigger he still felt like he towered over me. In a way, it was actually comforting. He even recognized me. I didn’t get to see his surprised face, but it almost felt like I got something even better. “You know… You really do have your moments…”
“But of course. So, what can I do for my adorable little sister.”
My lips slightly separated before they formed a soft smile. ‘I certainly wasn’t expecting to be called that looking like this…’ “I want you to help me test my guild's combat capabilities to judge how well we are improving.”
“Sure why not.”
“That was fast.”
He casually grabbed his sword. “Kai, Gild, you two come along too.”
Gild groaned, rolling over in bed and flinging another knife right past our eyes and into another box. Of course, it didn’t even make him flinch. “Right behind you boss…” He growled in a deep morning voice.
‘Scary…’
