“I knew you had it in you!” Joseph was proud, looking at Aria’s Armor Ascension. “I guess all that training we did together helped.”
“I believe it’s thanks to your guidance that I could achieve this, Joseph. Thanks!” Aria was grateful. “Armor Ascension amplifies defense. But I also feel as if my power has also increased across the board.”
“It might be like our Deus State, the first time you achieve it all your power increases. Even after you return to your normal state, you’re more powerful than before.” May explained. “I can tell your Defense boost, the barrier feels more powerful.”
“I see! Let’s continue blocking the attack.” Aria said.
“We need someone to attack the Red Dragon, but we can’t do it. At the moment it is a battle of endurance.” John said. “Who runs out of Magical Energy first, us or the Red Dragon?”
The Red Dragon continued to pour more power into its Fire Breath, trying to break the barrier as soon as possible. The Red Dragon’s Magical Energy reserves seemed infinite. Aria doubted they would last much longer even with her Armor Ascension. Suddenly the Red Dragon’s attack stopped. The Red Dragon roared in pain. When Aria looked at the head of the Red Dragon, she saw Jin had stabbed it with his sword. The Red Dragon shook its head violently, yet Jin held tightly to his sword. Everyone else took this opportunity to drink a potion. After a few seconds Jin and his sword were thrown. May quickly reacted and caught Jin, bringing him safely into the ground.
“Thanks, Jin! You really saved us!” Joseph said with a smile. “You really live up to your position as an Executive of the Moon Guild. Jumping out of the roof of the building onto the Red Dragon, that is a crazy move.”
“And I can see why you’re the Duke as well as the Leader of the Deus Guild, Joseph. You’re someone I consider as my rival.” Jin said, then he turned to Aria. “I am surprised you managed to use Armor Ascension, Ayano had told me in the past you didn’t want to use it.”
“I won’t let the Lunarian Rankers ruin the perception of Armor Ascension. I mean you guys at the Moon Guild never use Armor Ascension, you guys could help more in bringing a good name to us Lunarians.” Aria glared at Jin. “That’s why I chose to follow Joseph, I see him as a better mentor and leader.”
“Sorry we can’t live up to your expectations.” Jin said. “But let’s hold back the Red Dragon, Ayano said she has a weapon we can use against it. I hope it’s what I am thinking. I haven’t seen one since we had to escape Lunaria.”
After losing some of its strength, the Red Dragon landed. Joseph smirked and raised his greataxe. He began concentrating his Magical Energy. After a few moments, electricity was surging throughout it.
“EAT THIS!!” Joseph swung his greataxe at the Red Dragon, releasing an Electric Slash. The Red Dragon was about to take to the skies once again. As it started to flap its wings a missile hit. A moment later, the Electric Slash also landed.
An engine could be heard fast approaching the Red Dragon. Joseph could see a 10-meter silver robot flying through the skies fast approaching the Red Dragon. The robot was equipped with a sword and guns on its hip and a cannon attached at the back.
“I haven’t seen a Moon Unit in years.” Jin was excited, but his excited expression soon turned disappointed after seeing how awkward the Moon Unit was moving. “The movement looks terrible. I might not be a Moon Unit pilot, but I can tell how horrible it is.”
“What are you expecting? I am a researcher not a pilot, plus I am also an old lady.” Ayano’s voice could be heard coming from the Moon Unit. The Moon Unit kept firing missiles at the Red Dragon. “Aria, you’ll pilot this Moon Unit.”

“Does she have any experience with Moon Units!?” Jin was irritated. “WHy didn’t you get one of the surviving Lunarians that were pilots?”
“”Jin has a point, Grandma.” Aria was surprised at the request. “How do I even pilot that thing?”
“You silly girl. Remember that mech game you played with the complex controls?” Ayano asked.
“Yeah, that was fun. But what does … ?” Aria came to a realization. “I see, that’s how you were training me.”
With the Red Dragon being busy trying to deal with the missiles, Joseph gathered more Magical Energy. He then used Absolute Zero once again and froze solid the Red Dragon once again. Joseph, May, John, and Jin began attacking the frozen dragon with their weapons.
“You got it. Now let me land.” Ayano sounded proud. She landed and quickly exited the Moon Unit. “This Moon Unit belongs to you. And don’t worry about fuel, from your perspective it will have infinite fuel.”
“I’ll do my best!!” Aria said as she entered the Moon Unit’s cockpit. Inside the cockpit, Aria could see a holographic screen, some buttons, and two control sticks. She sat down; she could feel the seat was comfortable. She grabbed both control sticks. She was familiar with the control scheme; the same one she had used in the game she used to play during high school. She took a deep breath.
The Red Dragon began to unfreeze itself. The Moon Unit quickly approached the Red Dragon, running at full speed. Aria piloted the Moon Unit to deliver a swift quick and a punch to the Red Dragon. The Red Dragon took to the skies and Aria followed suit.
“That’s a much better performance! She’ll become a fine pilot.” Jin was amazed.
“She should be able to slay it easily.” Joseph said as he looked at the Moon Unit and the Red Dragon. “I wonder why we never developed mechs here on Earth.”
“Lunaria’s and Earth’s histories are quite different, so the people would develop different technologies.” Ayano explained. “In Lunaria we mainly used electricity for power and here on Earth we use Magic Stones as power. And there are many technological differences such as your artificial dungeons.”
In the skies, Aria caught up to the Red Dragon. Arai unsheathed the Moon Unit’s sword; she began to concentrate; she began to pour Magical Energy into the sword.
How is this possible? How am I pouring Magical Energy into something I am not directly touching? Aria was thinking. I unconsciously did it. Grandma is incredible. Now it’s time to finish this!
Aria slashed at the Red Dragon, hitting its left wing. The left wing was cut off and the Red Dragon began to fall. Aria went after the Red Dragon and as it was falling began to slash at it. The Red Dragon was roaring in pain. Then she punched the Red Dragon into the ground.
“John, May! Let’s do this!” Joseph said after seeing the Red Dragon crash into the ground. Joseph extended his arm and a white ball began forming in front of him. He began feeding his Magical Energy into it.
“Alright!” John began to feed his Magical Energy as well.
“Let’s do this!!” May assisted her older brothers. The white ball began to quickly grow in size and Magic Power.
“WHITE NOVA!!” Joseph, John, and May yelled in unison after gathering enough Magical energy. The White Nova struck the Red Dragon as it was standing up. Ayano quickly put up a barrier around the attack. The White Nova exploded upon making contact. After the light of the White Nova faded there was nothing standing up as if the Red Dragon had never existed.
“We did it! WE DID IT!” Aria was celebrating until she looked back at the building and could still see the black fog coming out of the stadium's top opening. “Ozzy, Leon, please be safe!”
“Do you think we can go into the arena now and save Oswald and Leon?” Joseph asked.
“If the mission pop up is correct, then we can’t.” John was looking down. “We must believe in our sons. Leon and Oswald will be fine, Goddess Oreto will protect them.”
“I don’t care about any of that! You two are older than me, so act like it!” May yelled. “I am not going to stand around and do nothing while my nephews fight for their lives. I am going to try and get into that fog. I don’t care what this shitty system says. Joseph, Oswald needs you. And John, Leon also needs you! Don’t hesitate about trying to save them!”
“She is correct. We already took care of the Red Dragon, now let’s see if we can do anything for those two.” Ayano declared. “Jin, now you can try and find your daughter and niece. Remember there are still monsters inside. Let’s take care of the small fry.”
