After changing into their military uniform Jack, Hannah, and Oswald entered the artificial dungeon. The military uniform consisted of a black button up jacket with the school insignia on the chest side, a white shirt, black pants, and black boots. The uniforms were enchanted by magic to give the students extra protection. The artificial dungeon the trio stepped into was a dense forest full of sequoia and redwood trees. Jack was armed with a wooden staff adorned with red jewelry, Hannah was equipped with a sword and a shield, and Oswald was armed with two combat knives. The trio headed down the path in front of them.
I can feel something slowly approaching us. With this energy flow or should I say Mana flow, the monsters don’t seem too difficult. They are getting too close, they should be within hearing distance in a couple of seconds. As soon as the monster came within hearing distance Oswald spoke up. “Hannah, Jack I can hear something coming from the left.”
“I hear it. Hannah prepare to get their attention and Oz find an opportunity to strike.” As Jack gave commands four bunny-like creatures with two horns, Horned Rabbits, jumped out of the bushes. Jack raised his staff and casted a buff on both Hannah and Oswald. Hannah quickly imbued her sword with wind magic and unleashed a wind attack on the creatures. As soon as the attack landed on the creatures, they started to target Hannah; they attacked her by hurling themselves into Hannah, which she blocked with her shield and a thud could be heard after the horns made contact with the shield. Oswald saw an opening right as the creatures prepared themselves to hurl themselves. Oswald analyzed the Mana Flow within the creatures to find their weak spots and as soon he found the weak spot of the closest creature to him, he quickly dashed towards the creature and using both knives he struck the creature before it could launch its next attack and killed it instantly. The other 2 creatures continued to attack Hannah, who defended from the attacks with her shield and used wind magic to keep the creatures’ attention on herself and occasionally she would strike one of the creatures with her sword. Jack continued to observe the fight and provided buffs as necessary. Oswald repeated the process of finding the weak spot of the creature and killing it in one strike for the other three creatures. As the fight came to an end the trio started to walk.
“Oz, I was wondering. How are you able to kill those monsters in a single strike?” Hannah as they walked along the path.
“I guess those are my instincts, hahah.” Oswald responded. I don’t want to reveal that I can see the Mana Flow of everything, yet. I think I should be ready to start manipulating my own Mana Flow, so I will try it with the boss monster. I was able to concentrate Mana in my palms before, but nothing happened. Yet, I feel that I can do something by copying the Mana Flow from Jack’s buffs.
“Is that so? Then I am glad we have you because the fights are quicker than with the other groups.” Hannah said.
“We should hurry and find the boss monster. That fight took us two minutes plus our walking time, so we have about 25 minutes left to finish the dungeon.” Jack said
“Let’s go then!” Oswald shouted as he ran towards where he felt a great Mana Flow. Hannah and Jack quickly followed Oswald. As the trio ventured deeper into the forest they started to get targeted by more monsters; they fought each battle by managing their roles efficiently.
Hannah took on the defensive role. She blocked, deflected, and kept the monster's attention by using her wind magic, which didn’t take much energy to cast. Occasionally, she also struck the monsters.
Jack carefully observed Hannah and Oswald to know when to cast his buffs and healing magic. In rare instances monsters got close to him he would whack them with his staff, which left them open to a strike from Oswald.
Oswald quickly found the weak spots of the enemies and launched a quick session of attacks to kill the monsters as fast and as efficiently as possible.

We should have about ten minutes left and we are about to reach the boss. As the trio approached an open area Oswald could feel a powerful Mana Flow from all over the area. Damn where is it? This Mana Flow is too strong and I can’t pinpoint it. This boss monster is dangerous. How come Hannah and Jack haven’t noticed this killing intent? When the trio was in the center of the area a barrier appeared that blocked their escape routes from all sides. “IT'S COMING FROM ABOVE. MOVE AWAY FROM THE CENTER.”
The three friends quickly moved away from the center and a couple of moments later a monster descended from the trees landing right in the center of the area. The boss monster was a 3 meter muscular bipedal monster with a bull’s face and long horns and it was holding a great ax. The monster loudly roared and released a powerful killing intent and Jack and Hannah were shaking uncontrollably.
Damn it a Minotaur. Why is this monster in a high school test? Hannah and Jack need time to get used to this immense pressure. As Oswald’s thoughts raced he ran towards the boss and delivered a kick that was blocked by the monster. Oswald put all his strength into the kick but the boss was unfazed by his attack. Oswald quickly retreated and evaded attacks as the boss targeted him. This monster is strong and knows how to fight. This will be tricky. I’ll have to control my Mana Flow to amplify my attacks and defense.
“Oz, here you go! SPEED!” Jack shouted as he casted a buff on Oswald. Thanks to the buff Oswald was able to quickly get beside Hannah. “Hannah, now it’s your turn! DEFENSE!”
“Thanks, Jack!” Hannah said as she used barrier magic on her shield to block boss’s attack. The attack left some scratches on the shield. “Fuck, this bastard is too strong. I should start using more powerful magic.”
Wait, that next strike is too powerful for Hannah. I have no other choice, I’ll concentrate my mana into my hands. Oswald’s thoughts were filled with trying to help Hannah as he rushed to block the boss’s attack with his knives. As Oswald blocked the attack one of the knives broke and he was send flying, crashing into a rock.
“HOW DARE YOU HURT OZ, YOU WILL PAY!!!!!!!!” Hannah shouted with rage when she realized what had transpired before her eyes. Hanna poured her magic into the sword and white flames could be seen coming from the sword. He quickly swung her sword which connected with the boss, leaving a huge scar across the chest. The boss cried in pain, but it did not distract it from the battle as it started to block all the incoming attacks from Hannah.
Jack regained his composure and seeing the boss focused on Hannah he headed towards Oswald to heal him. Jack casted a healing spell that brought Oswald back to normal. “All patched up! Time for you to attack, Oz! STRENGTH!!” Jack casted a buff on Oswald.
“Thanks, Jack!” After being healed Oswald focused on the boss as he tried to find an opening. He carefully observed as Hannah and the boss traded blows and blocked each other’s attacks. Suddenly, Hannah parried one of the attacks and the boss was thrown out of balance, so Oswald quickly dashed towards the boss. Once he was 20 feet away from the boss Oswald jumped and began to concentrate all of his Mana into his arms in order to strengthen them. With his powered up arms Oswald struck the boss on its chest right in the injury and buried his knife deep into the boss’s chest, blood started to flow from the injury and the boss collapsed into the ground. Oswald moved away from the boss and shouted, “HANNAH, JACK YOUR TURN IS UP!!!”
“STRENGTH!!” Jack used up a large quantity of magic energy to give Hannah a stronger buff. As soon as Hannah felt the buff take place, she threw her shield and jumped into the air and toward the boss as she went down, she held her sword like a pogo stick and impaled the boss. Once the sword was inside the boss, Hannah used her fire magic to power her sword and began burning the boss from the inside. The cries of agony could be heard from the boss and after a few seconds, which felt like an eternity, the boss became quiet and the barrier blocking them disappeared.
“Finally this is done! Fuck, I feel so sore from blocking so many attacks!” Hannah said as she sat down on the ground. Jack walked towards Hannah and used his healing magic to heal her injuries. “Thanks, Jack!”
“Alright, let’s head to the exit. We have 4 minutes left!” Oswald told Hannah and Jack as he began walking away from the open area. Hannah and Jack followed him to exit the artificial dungeon and finish their assignment.
